Taxol chemotherapy

I just finished the AC treatment, and will start the Taxol chemotherapy next week. Any thoughts about this????. My experience with the AC was a bit difficult, nauseas, vomit, constipation, upset stomach, weakness, loss of hair; and just for 3 days mainly. The upset stomach last the most like for 5 days and the loss of appetite last for approx 7 days; the key is keep hydrated. I have lost like 15 lbs since January 30. Today is March 21, 2025.

I had Taxol, given weekly for 12 weeks. I did not have AC so I can't compare it. I would describe the experience as having one long, bad hangover. I was nauseous, particularly in the evening, but I never threw up. I had muscle weakness and fatigue. I had muscle cramps, particularly in the arches of my feet. Days 3 and 4 were the worst, I think, although it's all kind of blurry. I was able to drive myself to and from infusions, but my cancer center is 10 minutes from my house. I was able to grocery shop (although I did not feel like cooking), go to the library, and attend events such as my daughter's high school graduation and college orientation. Food tasted like either metal or dirt so I drank a lot of protein shakes and gatorade. I was able to go for a walk most days; that was my one "big" accomplishment each day. I lost 25 pounds.

I used ice gloves and socks for neuropathy prevention (mostly successful).

Let me know if you have any other questions!
