My surgy say to skip radition but take hermon thearpy but consultation with radition doctor say to take radition for 2 weeks so I confused which better for me with radition 2% without radition 8% for cancer come again

Hi @koko1959, Radiation reduces local recurrence (another breast tumor) but is not as effective at preventing distant recurrence (metastasis). Hormone therapy reduces both types of recurrence. According to your RO in your situation having radiation gives a 6% advantage for preventing local recurrence. You can decide if that is worthwhile for you. You can also choose to do both radiation and hormone therapy for the maximum benefit. Good luck with your decision.
