Worried

I’ve been having Breast pain for a little over6 weeks. I went to my OBGYN she ordered a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. Both of which came back clear, they told me to continue screenings when I’m 40. I’m currently 33. I still have the pain intermittently and I’m a nervous wreck. This past weekend I developed horrible leg and back pain. It’s not responding to Motrin and sometimes it’s there sometimes it’s not. Sometimes I also feel pain in my arm.

I am scared I have cancer and they’re missing it. I’m scared it has metastasized to my bones. I saw I could pay 1000 out of pocket for a breast MRI. Should I do? as additional screening

Hi @scared57 , Thank you for being so open about what you're going through—this kind of anxiety is completely understandable, especially when symptoms linger and you're not getting clear answers.

Pain in other areas (leg, back, arm) can be due to many things—nerve compression, musculoskeletal strain, or even anxiety—but if they’re persistent and unexplained, it’s fair to want to further investigate.  And if the pain in your breast continues, it would be may be worth asking for a referral to a breast specialist, where you can discuss the options (e.g. MRI). Do you have dense breasts? Do you have a family history of breast cancer?
