Lump in armpit after double mastecomy
Hi, I had a my double mastectomy 2 years ago. I was diagnosed with POS/POS/Neg cancer. I had one 3cm lump and lots of specs that would have been too hard to biopsy all of them. This October I felt a lump in my armpit. I had my ultrasound yesterday. They said they think its fat necrosis but want to biopsy it because there…

Liver Pain
I’ve read that pain is not a common symptom for liver metastasis, but it can happen. For anyone that did discover that cancer spread to their liver and had pain -can you describe it? Is it central to one place, does it tend to move around, is it constant or intermittent, worse with activity or rest? I think I am dealing…

Breast MRI call back
I had an mri a month ago. I finally called my Dr to get the results. I was told over the phone no cancer but I could schedule an appointment to discuss. I put it off because of hearing no cancer but yesterday I got a call to find out why I haven’t booked an appointment. (??). So now I’m going in on Monday and I’m not even…

The wait for the biopsy is on
I am a walking mess. I had MOHS surgery for skin cancer on my nose in 2012, it came back, and I am waiting for surgery on that on December 19. I scheduled my mammogram /ultrasound prior to the surgery and guess what - a lump, round mass, whatever we call it in the same breast I had DCIS in 2008 (had 2 lumpectomies and…

Lump in nipple of nipple sparing mastectomy
Hi! I’m wondering whether there are others who have had a nipple sparing mastectomy that developed a lump in that nipple and it wasn’t something to be concerned about? I’m two years out from surgery and have a hard lump right in that nipple. There has been some gunky white stuff that has come out too but I think that is…

Upper back pain, tingling and numbness in left arm and both feet
Good morning, I haven’t posted here in a while but, I do check in to read the posts from time to time to gain knowledge and peace. I’m very thankful for the ladies here, though I wish none of us were here. So, if I could get some of you to offer advice, prayers, or experiences I would appreciate it. So, in early October I…

FES PET/CT scan insurance coverage
Has anyone with traditional Medicare had a FES PET/CT scan? I can’t get a definitive answer on payment for the procedure from either the hospital or CMS. Both say that an FDG PET/CT is covered so the answer is “probably.” Given the cost (more than FDG) I’m worried about having it done without knowing for sure. After two…

Will 30% of Early Stage (1-IIIA) go on to metastasize??
So I started this question in another thread but was hoping for additional feedback. With MBC awareness day last weekend, a stat is going around that caught my attention. Basically says that 30% of early stage BC patients will eventually have their bc metastasize AFTER adjuvant treatment. Susan G. Komen even states it here…

Setting off Airport TSA scanners
This is an out there question but has anyone’s cancer ever been flagged on the airport tsa scanners. I finished treatment for triple negative in 2016 but every ache and pain still makes…

Hello all I initially was treated for stage 2 ILC in 2010 and have been attending followup scans and doctor visits once or more times each year since then. I have also been taking Letrozole faithfully up until a month or two ago when I started to become lazy about taking it. Today, I had my annual breast imaging and my…

Seriously? First IDC, then DCIS, now possible DCIS again.
Has anyone had multiple new DCIS primaries rather than recurrences? I had IDC in my left breast (treated with lumpectomy and radiation ) in 2011, DCIS in left breast (treated with left-side mastectomy) in 2021, and today my radiologist found new calcifications in my right breast. I'm having a biopsy on Wednesday. She…

Upper back/shoulder blade pain / Chest CT & CT angiogram
Last year, I went through TC chemo and then 30 doses of full chest, armpit radiation. During radiation, I developed a weird feeling in my back, directly behind my affected breast. It's near the bottom if my scalpula. If I squeeze my shoulder blades, there's discomfort in that area. During that time, I had a ct angiogram…

Recurrence after mastectomy
Hi, I just found out there’s a tiny nodule with residual DCIS, 10 months post mastectomy. I’m freaking out about these new findings. Has anyone experienced a recurrence post mastectomy? Pain in Armpit 9 years after Mastectomy
Hi All, I have an appointment with my oncologist on Friday. My armpit has been aching for a few weeks now. I actually had what I thought was an impinged shoulder back in June from swimming, so I thought the armpit pain was associated with that. Shoulder is better but armpit pain is not going away. Also, I had a rash next…
