Feels like pebble near areola right breast

Hi, searching for information and assurance. Last month I felt a lump, feels like a pebble, right breast, near areola. I noticed it and pressed on it because I felt like I had a scratch in the area and it was red and bit irritated.
I’m 62 and I am a uterine sarcoma survivor taking Letrozole for 11 of the last 13 years as that cancer is estrogen positive. Currently NED. I’ve always felt protected from breast cancer since I take a breast cancer drug so it was a surprise to feel this lump. Also, no family history.
I had a mammogram already scheduled so I kept the appointment and was asked if I had any concerns etc. I mentioned the lump and was sent back to my PCM. They didn’t do the mammogram that day. PCM wrote the consult for a diagnostic mammogram/ultrasound, scheduled for June 11.
The lump is on the inside, not on the outer portion of my breast. Breast is tender and the scratch I mentioned before is red and tender. The ‘pebble” feels hard and it doesn’t move. Wondering about benign conditions to explain this and any general information to help me understand what’s next.
