Does anyone know if this book contains legit information?

The person who gave it to me is very much anti-"traditional" medicine... but the book itself contains peer-reviewed references. I would obviously discuss any specifics with my oncologist.

Just wondering how much time I should invest browsing it, since my time and mental energy are at a premium these days. Although I believe the person who gave it to me has good intentions, it also feels like a VERY "loaded" gift. I want to keep an open mind, though.
