Birads 4 on ultrasound. Mammo+repeat USound done today. Waiting for results.
It's unbelievable how terrible the waiting process is!!! I've tried distracting myself, it only works sometimes.
My left breast ultrasound a few years ago showed a cluster of complex cysts at 12 o'clock (birads 3), which has been monitored every 6 months ever since. The most recent was done on Aug 12 which showed it seems to be growing and there are several scattered 3 mm cysts throughout the breast. The result is 'Birads 4' on the ultrasound mainly because the 'complex cluster' is now changed to 'a complex cluster or a spiculated nodule'. I was sent for mammo+repeat ultrasound - got both done today. I have a strong hunch, they will ask me to go for biopsy next. This whole process is just… I don't even have a word for it… I can't even imagine what others must be going through who may be in more unfavourable situations and times in their lives than this… or similar. I'm praying for you all.. I'm praying for us.
Edit: I'm 38.5 years old, recently went through an egg freezing cycle a few months ago where I got mild OHSS (my estrogen levels were off the roof.. > 27000 for a few days). I'm assuming something went crazy there. Of course my brain running scenarios. Ugh.

hi, although the reasons for my recent stereotactic biopsy were different I can not agree more about the crazy making process of the wait. My current mantra is “to do it right takes time” I want us all to receive accurate results and the stains and tissue processing is time consuming by default.
I feel for you! Fingers crossed….1 -
@sweetsacopee - Welcome to our community. We’re so sorry you find yourself needing to be here, but we’re really glad you joined us. 💕
Waiting for results is so hard, and it helps to share with others who truly get it. If you feel comfortable, would you like to tell us a little more about what led to your recent stereotactic biopsy? Maybe we can point you to articles or discussions that could help while you wait.
Looking forward to hearing more from you.

thank you for the prompt. I lost my grown sons in 2022 to a horrible accident. I cannot describe the impact or the grief which I still experience every day. However, the chaos resulted in my not getting a mammogram for 4 years (last one was in July of 21) as I’m finally getting my world back together I returned to preventative care and a “new” grouped punctuate cluster of calcifications was found at 1 o’clock position in posterior left breast.
