New symptoms almost 2 years since completed treatment
Hi all. Suddenly, I had 2 bruise-like marks on my side directly to the right of my right breast. They were about the size of a silver dollar. This is the breast that had a lumpectomy. The bruises were red and irregular. They did not hurt or itch. I had not bumped myself. The bruises have slowly faded.
In addition, the underside of same breast was red all the way across. Then the entire breast became slightly darker/reddish. This has not faded over the 5 days of these odd symptoms. (Fyi, this breast gets itchy across the top occasionally since radiation.)
So, I went to my radiation clinic and the Dr didn't have a clue. She thought maybe it was a coagulation issue. I'm waiting for results from that blood test.
Has anyone had anything like this occur 2 years after radiation? I'm also being scheduled for a diagnostic Mammogram. Thanks. -Jill

Hi @mamafree, checking in on you to see how you're doing. Have you had any follow-ups with your medical team to determine what caused your bruising? A consultation with a hematologist may be helpful if you continue to have unexplained bruising.
