Has anyone with Her2+++ achieved pCR before surgery using only paclitaxel and Phesgo?
Hello from Tokyo.
I am currently undergoing treatment for Her2+++(ER+1%)
The preoperative regimen is 12 doses of weekly paclitaxel and 4 doses of Phesgo every 3 weeks, and if the tumor does not disappear, EC will be added.
I searched on X and found that there was one woman in Osaka,Japan who underwent a clinical trial of paclitaxel and Phesgo before surgery and she achieved remission after pCR without EC in 2023. She had 14 sessions of Phesgo after surgery.
Tomorrow I am scheduled for my 10/12 Paclitaxel and my final Phesgo(4/4) before surgery.
Hope all of you have warm and peaceful day!

Hello.
Preoperative treatment is complete. The side effects from weekly paclitaxel and Fesgo were milder than expected and caused absolutely no disruption to daily life. The ultrasound showed the tumor has almost disappeared, though a small amount may remain. I was told it's close to pCR. If any residual tumor is found, Kadcyla will be added.
The total mastectomy surgery is scheduled for the end of January 2026. I had a pre-op mammogram and MRI, so I'll post again if anything happens. Mammograms aren't done in US anymore, are they? They're a bit painful.😅 I guess I have to wait and see the pathology results.
I sincerely hope everyone has a peaceful holiday season.😊

@tofudaisuki mammograms are still very much standard of care in the US. Good luck with your treatment!

Oh no, mammograms do exist! I wish there were a better screening method to replace them. Thank you for the information. I hope you have a nice holiday.
