New treatment
My questions are based on the information below: 2007 IDC 1.6cm, er/pr-, Her2 very positive. Lumpectomy followed by AC/THP and radiation. 2021 reoccurrence, diagnosis identical to 1st time (except this time 1cm), same breast, almost same location. Dmx, THP. Questions:1) Are there any other treatments I should have had, or…

Anyone enrolling in DESTINY Breast05 (HER2+, no PCR)?
I will have surgery at the end of January, beginning of February. The primary lesion still feels hard to touch so I am expecting some cells lingering between scar tissue there, preparing for no PCR and if PCR comes, it will be a nice surprise for me (I'd be so grateful). I was checking my options for no PCR and it seems…

HER2- BT and HER2+ LN: Anomaly. Who knows anything about this?
How can I have both a HER- BT (breast tumor) rated “Equivocal” and a HER2+ LN (lymph node) at 50% positive? If the assumption in current cancer medicine (2023) is that breast cancer begins in the breast and spreads to the lymph node as I’m told is the case; how is it possible to have the above diagnosis? I’ve been told…

Looking for Her2 Positive survivor stories
Hello, I was dx in February with Her2+ BC. I went through the chemo, the mastectomy and now in the midst of radiation. I will finish that in December and will be on the Herceptin through March. I, like so many BC survivors, have a constant fear of metastisis. I can't shake it. I think what I need is to read stories of…

I finished complete reconstruction in October of last year. Now, I am facing another HER2+ IDC diagnosis in the limited amount of…

Questions for your "end-of-treatment" oncologist appointment?
What questions did you ask your oncologist, at your final visit after chemo/treatment? And/or what information should I hope to get? My last HP is on Thursday, and I'll have an end-of-treatment visit with my oncologist while I'm there. Any tips or suggestions?

Starting Neratinib (Nerlynx)
I was dx early stage, node negative, triple positive in the summer of 2021. I did 12 weeks of taxol and a year of Herceptin. I had a lumpectomy, re-excision and three weeks of radiation. HER2 Positive-anyone 10 years out?
Hi ladies, I was wondering if there are any women out there who are 10 years or longer with her2 positive breast cancer? When I was diagnosed in 2008, my prognosis said '80% chance of no recurrence in 10 years'. Wondered what they based this on, as I have yet to talk to anyone past 6-8 years and they seem to have had…

HER2 negative but actually a low positive and neratinib
I'm making a list of questions for my oncologist appointment coming up and in looking at posts relative to metformin I came across neratinib. I realize the metformin trial ended up demonstrating that it was not beneficial in lessening recurrence rates. But apparently neratinib trials were because it was approved by the FDA…

Biopsy (HER2 3+) vs Surgical specimen (HER2 0)? What this means?
Hi all, I'm new on this forum. I have this dilemma about my HER2 status. Pathology report from biopsy gives HER2 3+, while pathology report from surgical specimen is HER2 0. This is very strange as these two results for HER2 are completely the opposite. Is this theoretically possible and what that means, especially in…

Surgery before chemo, for a large-ish HER2+ tumor?
Hi - I was recently diagnosed with ER-/PR-/HER2+++ IDC/ILC. Largest tumor is about 3 cm, and at least one lymph node is positive (was biopsied). Has anyone here with a similar diagnosis been given the option of having surgery first, and chemo afterward?

Chemo in local and surgery MSK ?
Hi, I'm recently diagnosed with ER-/HR-/Her2+, ki-67 20%; grade3, almost 4cm with 1 node. I need chemo first then surgery. Local oncologist recommends TCHP. I went to MSK for second opinion. I was told MSK don't do TCHP much, and they normally do AC-THP. However, the oncologist kind of push me to enter a trial (removing AC…
