  • I'm in the same place as you. Diagnosed in Aug 22, finished treatment in April 23, double mastectomy with reconstruction, and yet, I just don't ever feel like "me" anymore. I gained so much weight, struggle to get rid of it, and I literally never have energy anymore. I feel more like a zombie than a survivor. Maybe a lot of it is depression, I just don't know. But it really does suck to feel this way. I'm so sorry you are going through that.

you never get over it at all and then there is a fear of something may have spread and not caught at all. Mentally you are never the same person you were and your body is scarred and been through trauma. After time you get a little more new normal maybe and it does not overwhelm you as much with fears all day and night. Only a few times a year at appointments. Best wishes to you.
