Seroma
Hello! I had a lumpectomy 2 weeks ago. My tumor was in the left breast at the 8 O’Clock position. I am having increased pain and some redness. I have a hard lump above my incision that continues to below my incision to my abdomen. This lump is painful and tender. I do not have any fever but this lump is concerning and I think it could possibly be a seroma. I realize there would be swelling around the incision due to the procedure but this seems to be more than that type of swelling. Has anyone had a seroma that can help? Thanks

Hello, it's certainly disturbing, although I do hope the healing from your surgery is otherwise meeting expectations.
Seroma treatment often includes the aspiration & draining of the internal clear fluid. My breast surgeon had drained my seroma about 3 times, but I later had ended up with an infection. Symptoms were redness, body chills, fever and sensitivity.
Please don't hesitate to seek a 2nd opinion if it continues to bother you. Best wishes
