Staying flat after nipple-sparing double mastectomy?
I'm curious if anyone has made this decision, and if they had subsequent surgeries to tighten up loose skin or fill in any concavity? I had my nipple-sparing DMX in Sept 2025, with the initial plan of reconstruction. However now that I am wrapping up chemotherapy, I am considering remaining flat. I'm not sure what to do about the concavity and some loose skin on my left breast side though. Any thoughts on how to proceed?

Hello @runner51! Congratulations on nearing the finish-line with your chemo regimen! We recommend scheduling a few consultations with reconstructive surgeons to discuss your interest in "aesthetic flat closure", and to inquire about what surgical techniques are recommended to correct the concerns you've mentioned.
