We're really sorry you’re going through this — your fear makes so much sense. 💗 However, sooooo great that your scans went well. Yes!!!

Even if a cardiac CT looks good, LVEF measures how strongly the heart is pumping, and HER2 treatments like Herceptin and Perjeta can lower it without causing permanent damage. The good news is that this type of drop is often reversible, which is why your team paused treatment to protect your heart.

Taking a break does not automatically mean your cancer will come out of remission. Many people with HER2+ metastatic breast cancer have long, durable remissions, even with short treatment pauses, and often restart therapy once their heart recovers.

You’re not alone, and you’re doing the right thing by letting your body heal.

Make sure your team (including cardiology) is working together, holistically to treat you, which it sounds like it's doing.

Have they discussed with you alternative treatments, even for the interim?

    We’re here with you. 💕
