reoccurrence risk
I had a double mastectomy in sept 2-24 and recently had my exchange surgery in oct 2025.
Since then i have had random swelling a developed a new lump. Ultrasound said hypoechoic structure measuring 16x429mm 3 weeks ago. Todays ultrasound shows a growth of approx 9mm in 3 weeks, now 25x4x29mm. how concerned should I be and what are next possible steps

@sammbb, we're sorry for the worries that have led you to our community. Do you have any follow-up appointments scheduled? If your oncologist is concerned or uncertain as to what the new growth is, they may want to run further scans (such as a breast MRI), or order a biopsy. The lump could be scar tissue, fat necrosis, a benign cyst, or possibly a recurrence. Please keep us posted, we are here to support you.
