Hi All,
About two weeks ago I found what I thought was a lump in my breast. I went for a mammogram, which showed dense breast tissue but no obvious issues. However, the ultrasound picked up architectural distortion in the same breast — no mass and no lump.
I now have a biopsy scheduled and am waiting on the results. I’ll be honest, I’m feeling very scared and it’s been hard to function while I wait.
Has anyone else gone through something similar? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences or any words of encouragement while I navigate this.1 -
Hi @kimfeb6, I'm sorry that you are undergoing the stress of waiting for biopsy results. It seems to take forever and it's normal to be worried. The chance of AD being cancer varies from 10 to 50% depending on the focus of the study. AD can also be caused by benign conditions such as radial scars, fat necrosis and sclerosing adenosis. I hope your biopsy turns out to be benign. If not this is a great site for information and support. All the best.
