Kisqali
hello everyone, I am new to this forum and wonder if anyone can help me. I have invasive lobular cancer which had spread to my lymph glands by the time I was diagnosed, a year on and I an I have had a mastectomy, completed radiotherapy and have started taking Letrozole.. My Oncologist yesterday has offered to start me on Kasqali ( Ribociclib). Can anyone tell me if you have started this medication and how you are feeling.
Just want to hear some personal accounts before I make the decision.
I am so fatigued already and battling to hold down a busy full time job, so wan to make the correct decision.

@suelarue12345 I have been on Kisqali for two years, and struggled with fatigue for many months but it tapered off and I feel pretty great now. I also had chemo, so some of the fatigue may just have been an after-effect. I kept moving, and I think that helped.

@suelarue12345 Hi! I am in my second cycle. I had to reduce my dose from 400 to 200 mg because of my white blood count. I felt some tiredness by the end of the ON time, but exercise helps me. On the lower dose I felt fine. I am in my off week now and I am experiencing some mild nausea (not even sure if this is from the medication, but possible). I hope it goes away sometime soon. Good luck!
3/19/26 - I want to add some info that I learned after posting the info above. I realized that my nausea stayed for a longer period because I was not eating snacks between meals for a week (attempted of fasting). I found that not only taking the kisqali with meals but actually making sure I had small snacks along the day really helped me with nausea situation.

Is a lower dose as effective as 400mg in preventing recurrence?
Orginal Dx Feb 2026: Stage 2a, Grade 3 IDC HR+ and Her2neu negative, ki67 30% and LVI +
Underwent lumpectomy, now on RT and Letrozole

I have been diagnosed recently with stage 2a BC in Feb 2026. What can I expect about this journey? How frequently scans will be done? MRI or mammogram or pet ct?

Hi Yuviii, I am sorry that you have to go through this. It is stressful at the beginning, but it gets better! I was diagnosed with stage 2 as well (Feb 2024). I had it in one of the breasts but decided to remove both. If you do reconstruction, I believe that twice a year you do the mammogram/MRI (you can also ask you doctor). No reconstruction, no need for scans. Are you doing surgery?
About the efficacy of kisqali, I was informed the it continues to be effective.

Hi @rose_garden78, I have undergone lumpectomy in Feb 2026. Right now I am on RT as it was a breast conserving surgery.

@yuviii I am not sure of yhe imaging schedules for early stage breast cancers like yours, but i do know that the kisqali and letrozole combo is good and powerful. For me, the side effects (mostly fatigue) lessened as time went on
