Hi

i had mammogram done yesterday and this is the report

Circumscribed equal density 8 mm anterior posterior left breast mass. No additional finding of either breast. ASSESSMENT: BI-RADS CATEGORY 0: Incomplete, need additional imaging evaluation. IMPRESSION: Left inner posterior breast mass, question cyst Recommendation: Ultrasound left breast

Hi @chrdwy01, BIRADS 0 is given when the radiologist can't see enough on the image to make a decision. It sounds like they think there may be a cyst (benign) but they want an ultrasound view before making a call. Sometimes the way your breast is positioned by the tech causes this. If a previous mammogram showed something similar already deemed benign the radiologist would decide things are stable. They are being cautious to make sure that there is nothing of concern there. Hopefully the ultrasound will confirm it. All the best.
