asking I went for a follow up 3D mamagram and very hurtful sonagram and afterwards was told they found a small spot in My left breast and to come back in six months I didn't like hearing that at all to wait to see if it grows I'd like it out immediately the doctor I went to afterwards didn't seem to think waiting was just fine I'd like it taken out now not wait period thank you for You Help Lynn

Hi @chancey, we can understand why hearing “wait six months” feels upsetting and unsettling. Many of us would rather have answers right away than deal with more waiting and worry. It’s completely okay to ask questions, seek a second opinion, or ask whether a biopsy would be appropriate for peace of mind. We also want to gently remind you that many small spots found on 3D mammograms turn out to be benign, and short-term follow-up is a very common recommendation when something looks probably noncancerous. Still, your feelings are valid, and you deserve to feel comfortable with the plan moving forward. Sending support your way. 💗

Hi @chancey , Different offices have different protocols. I would call the office that found the spot first. They will either arrange the follow up appointment or tell you who to call. Don’t worry about not being sure what to do. All of us were in the same situation to begin with. I hope everything works out well.
