Lynkuet: New Medication for Hot Flashes

I was just given an Rx for Lynkuet, which is a new medication for hot flashes and is safer for the liver AND helps with sleep.

I just started having hot flashes after stopping HRT last month following my diagnosis. I'm also excited to try Lynkuet because I have been suffering from heat intolerance for several years, and no physician has been able to understand or treat.

Anyone else on Lynkuet? I would love to connect and I will report back once I have given it a shot!

Welcome to our community, @dcartist! We're sorry for the reasons that led you here, but we're glad you've found us. Lynkuet is also known by the generic name Elinzanetant, and it's the newest hormone-free hot flash medication to receive FDA approval in Fall 2025. This medication definitely sounds promising, and we hope you fare well with this one!

  • I was looking at this drug as well. During research, I noticed that it could impact the liver, especially if the patient is also taking cholesterol lowering meds. Has anyone had feedback in this regard? My liver was damaged during chemo, so I'm concerned, but would like a little relief from the HF as it's already in the 100's where I live. Tks.

I just started taking this today and will be interested to hear input from others. I have been on Veozah for about 3 months and it worked slightly, but the hot flashes and night sweats were still not good. Hoping this works better

Hello @dcartist and @jackaroe. How are you both doing with trying Lynkuet? I hope you are having success!

I have been using Veozah for about a year and a half, I tried switching to Lynkuet for one week in May but quickly returned to Veozah.

On Lynkuet I noticed more hot flashes, a strange (almost but not quite) dizzy sensation, a drugged feeling of mental grogginess and difficulty concentrating until late afternoon (once the mental cobwebs cleared) and on the last couple of days I woke up darkly depressed. I don’t know if my body would have adjusted over time but I just couldn’t handle it at that time. Once I stopped taking it and resumed Veozah, everything returned to my “normal”. I still have a handful of hot flashes each day on Veozah, and difficulty sleeping, partly from hot flashes and partly from crazy anxiety-filled dreams, but I’ve gotten used to the pattern of it all. The hot flashes almost come on schedule.

Since I have 3 weeks worth of pills left, I may test out Lynkuet again to see if I can adjust and if it helps me sleep better, since that sounded so promising. Maybe I need to take the pill at dinner time instead of bedtime so I’m sleeping off the worst of the drugged feeling? I may experiment again, I’m not sure.

  • I recently started Lynkuet. I’m sleeping well, but I am not sure it’s helping enough with hot flashes just yet. My face becomes very red at times. That is new. I’m giving it many months to assess the efficacy.
