Scan anxiety
Hi. I have a scan tomorrow to see if my cancer has shrunk. Since I'm ER/PR+ with a low oncotype I've been doing endocrine therapy. Tamoxifen did not work and it grew 2mm. Switched to ovarian suppression therapy with letrozole. If this hasn't helped I think it's straight to surgery. My MO said there's a low chance chemo would help and did not recommend. Feeling anxious. The mass , last scan, was 4cm with tentacles going to 6cm. Really hoping there's been good changes. Anyone had their tumor shrink with just hormone therapy?

We're glad you reached out. Waiting for scan results can be incredibly stressful, and you're certainly not alone in feeling anxious!!
Many people with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer do see their tumors shrink with endocrine therapy, although the response can vary from person to person. Hopefully, members who have had ovarian suppression plus letrozole before surgery will share their experiences with you.
