Honoring Going2BeatThis, Fay
It is with heavy hearts that we share that our dear group member, Fay, known to many of you by her screen name here in the forums, @going2beatthis, died last Wednesday, July 1. Fay had been part of our community for many, many years.
So many of you knew Fay from our virtual support groups, where she showed up week after week with the same fierce, steady presence. She asked hard questions. She pushed back when something didn't sit right. She told you to do the same for yourself. Even while living with metastatic breast cancer, she made space for other people's fear and other people's hope, often in the same conversation.
Fay's warmth, resilience, and generosity made our community a better place. She touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.
Our hearts are also with her husband, Mark, an active member of our caregiver support group. We know this loss is enormous for him, and we're holding him close.
