I live in Southport, NC & was diagnosed with a 8 mm tumor: triple negative breast cancer with medullary pattern on 6/10/26 after a lumpectomy on 6/9/26. Four lymph nodes were removed & biopsied; all were negative for any malignancy. This coming week I meet with my medical oncologist on 7/8/26 & my radiation oncologist on 7/9/26. I am considering radiation therapy but very anxious about the prospect of chemotherapy!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @cbmor518! Welcome to Breastcancer.org, we're glad you found us.

It sounds like you've had a lot of information thrown at you in a short time. Hopefully your appointments next week will give you a clearer picture of what your oncologists recommend and why.

For now, you may want to visit our Triple Negative Breast Cancer Forum, where you can connect with others navigating TNBC and ask questions about chemotherapy, radiation, and treatment decisions.

Please let us know how your appointments go and what you decide. We're glad you're here.

    Hello again, @cbmor518!

We wanted to check in and see how you're doing. How did things go with your oncologists? We hope you left with a clearer idea of the next steps.

    We're thinking of you.
