🌸 August 2026 Chemo Check-In — You're Not Alone. Come Share, Ask, Update & Support One Another 🌸
Starting chemotherapy this August? We're so glad you've found us.
Whether you're preparing for your first infusion, counting down to treatment day, in the middle of your treatment plan, or nearing the finish line, this thread is for you.
This monthly Chemo Check-In is more than a place to share treatment dates. It's a community of people who understand what it's like to face chemotherapy—the uncertainty, the side effects, the waiting, the victories, the setbacks, and everything in between.
Whatever you're feeling today—hopeful, anxious, determined, exhausted, frustrated, or all of the above—you belong here.
✨ Start Wherever You Are
Introduce yourself and let us get to know you.
Share:
- Your treatment start date or where you are in your cycle
- What regimen you're receiving (if you'd like)
- A little about yourself
- Or simply say, "I'm here."
Then keep coming back.
Many members discover that these monthly threads become a place to document their experience, find encouragement, celebrate milestones, ask questions, and build friendships with people who truly understand. We'd love for this thread to become your home throughout the month.
💬 Check In Often—We're Here Every Step of the Way
This isn't just a thread for your first post.

- Anything that's on your mind
No update is too small.
Whether you're posting after every infusion or simply checking in to say, "Today was a better day," we'd love to hear from you.
💞 Ask Questions—and Share What You've Learned
Chemotherapy comes with lots of questions, and you don't have to figure everything out on your own.
Wondering about side effects? Managing fatigue? Taste changes? Hair loss? Neuropathy? What to bring to treatment? Returning to work? Emotional ups and downs?
Ask.
Someone here has probably asked the same question—or lived through it.
And if you've discovered something that made treatment just a little easier, please share it. Your experience may be exactly what another member needs today.
🌼 Celebrate Every Milestone
First infusion?
Finished another cycle?
Blood counts looked good?
Made it through a difficult week?
Rang the bell?
Cooked your first meal in days?
Went for a walk?
Tell us!
Every milestone matters. Treatment isn't just about reaching the end—it's about recognizing the many small victories along the way.
đź’— Support Makes This Community Strong
One of the most meaningful things you can do is reply to someone else's post.
A few words of encouragement, sharing your own experience, or simply saying, "I'm thinking of you today," can help someone feel seen and supported.
Every question, every update, every celebration, and every encouraging reply helps make this thread a place where no one has to go through chemotherapy alone.
🌸 Finished Chemo—or Further Along in Treatment?
Please stay with us!
Your experience can be incredibly reassuring for someone who's just starting.
The practical tips you've learned, the perspective you've gained, and the encouragement you can offer may help someone feel less overwhelmed and more hopeful.

Hi, just started Enhertu IV yesterday, after having port placement that morning. So far only having dizziness and muddle-head. Got some anti nausea and steriods in the infusions. Am taking anti nausea meds as well as a steroid at home, but these only over the next 5 days.
Enhertu treatments 4 cycles every 3 weeks. Then THP 4 cycles every 3 weeks. Not sure when but surgery after that.
Curious about other side effects and how everyone handles.

Had my 1st Enhertu on Monday. Along with the IV nausea med and steroid I took the pills at home. Tuesday wasn't a bad day, mostly just tired. Wed I had morning chills and the brain fog started. No nausea, but constipation started so I took Miralax which helped a lot. Thurs same thing with fatigue hitting in the afternoon. Fri I was off the pills and started feeling much better. My blook pressure, which was high Tues-Thurs finally came down and this evening I'm tired but feeling a bit like normal. Hoping everyone has a good weekend.
