ILC diagnosis

Hi-
New to this group and to the diagnosis of ILC. I’ve been told I’m Er+, PR -, HERS2- , grade 1, stage 1A, 17mm cancer area -of course all subject to change after post- surgical biopsies in October. My question (concern?) is with ILC such a sneaky cancer and my inability to do a contrast MRI due to a severe allergy to the contrast, how will I truly know the extent of the cancer? At this time, I’m being guided to do a lumpectomy followed by definite radiation and AI therapy but I’m wondering if a mastectomy is really the best option. Thoughts?
