I am wishing you fantastic results with your exchange! I love my 800s
Kristen - Good to see you again! - Thanks! I just took it from photo booth on my iMac last night after a hair cut... I have a tan from the weekend at the beach in NC.

Kimberly, your ribbon butt tattoo is too funny! Good for you, girl. And I'm with you - enjoying my coffee, chocolates and wine these days. Due to stomach issues I had to quit all three during 2009, the year I was also dealing with BC. But I got better, and boy am I enjoing my coffee with chocolate biscotti right now.

Pink ribbon on the butt ~~ now there is a tattoo that I might consider. If I have too many adult beverages in Vegas . . . . . . . .
Cheri ~ AMEN!!!
Am becoming the queen of nipple bandaging so might post my latest technique if I remember. I did end of having problems with the band-aid adhesive and had to switch. There is an art to keeping your nipples erect Ladies!!! Ha!
Take care! Colleen

kerkle: If you have "grams" you have gummy bear implants. I think you will be fine with the size after everything settles and the soft-tissue swelling resolves.
Paula: Interesting about your foot cramps. I have had them for the past several months....and I never remember having them previously. I never considered it might be a calcium deficiency...
Kristen - When I first read your post above I could not understand for the life of me who might be getting a third nipple! I thought I read "3rd", rather than "3d". Whew... And so WHERE exactly would that third nipple be?
Dublin: I PM'd you with some information...but I also want to say that many women have TEs which somehow migrate laterally under the armpits. It seems to occur more with low profile TEs for some reason. It sounds like your PS knows his stuff and is not concerned about it. The pocket is revised at the time of surgery.

Ughhh.... I was showering today and noticed some odd lumpiness in my right breast on the side where I had cancer. I called my PS to have him check it out (since he feels my foobs often). They had me come in today. He was very concerned and said I needed to see my onco in the next 2 days to get an ultrasound or MRI. If not, he would order the scans himself. He said it's a high likelihood that it's nothing, but would rather be overly cautious. He saw me only a month ago and didn't notice it.
So, I did my usual routine.... smile and act like everything was okay at the doctor's office (made the call to my onco & got an appt for Friday morning), then got to the car and cried hysterically and called my hubby, sister and a friend! And then, got home and poured myself a big glass of wine!!!!
I hope they can get an ultrasound done on Friday. I am so worried now. The waiting part is the worst!!!!!!!

The calcium connect (to foot cramps) came from my midwife many years ago. She said that many women develop a deficiency of calcium during pregnancy, and as they approach menopause, that can cause muscle cramps. I had leg cramps too but the foot cramps were so bad!

Dont you hate when you have to pretend all is ok?! Glad you had your cry. SO glad PS is being cautious and I will pray it is nothing. Positive thoughts coming your way

I forgot to mention that my PS gave me his input on my hysterectomy. He asked who was doing the surgery, why they were doing it, where was it being done, what procedure they were using. I told him I was not thrilled about going into menopause. He mentioned something about some bio-hormone something or other (after getting hysterical over the lumps I forgot). Anyway, I told him about the miscommunications between my obgyn and the other doctors. He told me to listen to the doctors who specialize in cancer. He also told me to speak tomy onco about the surgery. He was very concerned about the lumpiness of my breast (esp being so close to where I had cancer). He asked twice about my surgery date on the hyst/ooph. It's obvious this breast lumpiness is more of a concern. I'm going to talk to my onco about all of this on Friday.
I love my plastic surgeon. He's like my mentor through this whole process!!!

Cheri: Amen!
Kittycat: We all seem to do that, pretend it is ok in the docs office, and then break down later. I did break down once in the BS office after the 2nd lumpectomy without clean margins and we were talking about mx. She is a wonderful doc though and hugged me and said "this is crap that this has happened to you!" My feelings exactly at that time! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope all is ok.

KITTY.. you're killin' me girl... OMGOSH.... OK... lets BREATHE.... OK
Ok.. so what... this is just gonna be some stupid scar tissue like I have... that is all. It will turn out to be something to hold that glass of wine of yours high in the air and TOAST scar tissue!
Praying for you...ok... Laura

Yeah, I'm hoping it's scar tissue. If it were one lump, then it would seem odder than a bunch of dense lumpiness! My PS felt a little bit of it on the left side (I couldn't feel it). I just get freaked out when doctors want something checked ASAP!
Ok, I'm having a 2nd glass of wine!

((kittycat)) You will be in my prayers. I'm with Laura--here's to scar tissue!!
Cheri: AMEN!
Kimberly: I really like your new pic. I wanna see that pink ribbon tattoo!!

Thanks Every One
I posted my tattoo picts on the forum!
When I get the group photo of the three of us with matching tattoos I will post that also!
We had the best time at the beach! There were like 25 of us from support group that went!
I wish I could make it to Vegas, but maybe next year...
Lilah - I am not really following any kind of diet. I don't even exercise yet... I think it is the Tamoxifen that is making me lose weight. My Onc tells me most people gain weight on it and get depressed - but I seem to be happy and losing weight! Go figure that one???
All I can say is that I eat an activia yogurt every morning with some granola and half a pot of coffee! I try not to eat much bread and pasta but if I do, I try to eat it early in the day. I had a chicken Cesar salad from Panera Bread tonight with the bag of chips! so healthy!!!! NOT
Kristen - I would not do well giving up chocolate, coffee & wine for a year!

Annie, You still have restrictions after 7 weeks!? I'm only 2 1/2 weeks out and I thought they could be real boobs soon.Dublin, My TEs were under my pits my implants do not go into my pits and my pits feel pretty normal now. My pictures are posted week by week if that helps. Sensation, after each surgery I seem to lose a little sensation which I attribute to the swelling that occurs from messin around in there. Once the swelling goes down, the nerves aren't so stressed and the sensation gets back to where it was before the surgery. Maggie, My dear matie, I've been wondering about you! I've been on a low glycemic diet for about 4 months now because of the yeast factory that I had become and because of the fatigue I've had. It's made a huge difference for me. I like my doctor's instructions because it requires no thought, he says for every meal it should be 2/3 vegetable or fruit and 1/3 protein. Snacks should be a fruit or vegetable and are best if you have some protein with them as well. I can have the equivalent of 2 tortillas per day but I'm choosie about what carbs those are-- wild rice is best, red quinoa has become my best friend (mixed with fruit and nuts for breakfast), and most of my bread is ezekiel. I have no sugar in my house but I do use agave or fructose sparingly. It's a little challenging at first but if you stick to it strictly after a week or so you don't even want the carbs when you see them. I've lost 10 pounds (which is a lot for my size) and my dh lost 20, my fatigue was better until I had anesthesia again and the UTIs and yeast are still there but not nearly so bad, I've been able to control them naturally since starting on this diet. My husband has been able to get off of his cholesterol meds since starting this too. I can send you more info if you want or if others want to hear it, I'll post more here.Kittycat, I know that routine oh so well. Smile, then freak. I think it's extremely unlikely that it's anything they're just extra cautious with us and we're extra sensitive so drink lots of wine and read a good book or something. Julie0

Julie: I'm heading to bed (tired) but I'm interested in hearing more about your diet. I know I need to eat healthier and I'm working on it--I have made some changes--trying to eat more fruits and veggies and thinking I need to eat more organic foods.
Kimberly: I checked out the new tat
--so you and your support group friends all got one? Are you sure you can't swing a trip to Vegas?TCK

Music- I love Panera Bread! I just discovered it last year. My hubby and I go there often.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and prayers. My hubby wanted to go for a walk tonight (I'm in "I'm not going to get fat" mode). Well, that went out the window with the lumpy breast thing and the wine!!! LOL!

Going to go check out Kims Arse.... I mean booty tat of course....LOL

hi sweeties, just checking in to say hi quicklyl
Laura, loving that new do!! You look hot!
re: the pre meds: every dr. and PS is usually different, aren't they? Drives you nuts, right? Mine all said not unless you had a cleaning very soon after surgery, or unless mitral valve prolapse.
My teeth just got cleaned and all they were really concerned about at my GP was that my tetanus shot be updated. I do have dry mouth, and they reccomended Oasis or Biotene again. My teeth are awful, am getting porcelain veneers on them as soon as may be. My dentist also said only for truly invasive stuff, like a root canal would he consider an antibiotic and then only if the root canal was really infected. I'll call him re: the veneers anyway, being neurotic.
.Laura, hey, thanks for the rads/nip info! I did have skin issues and necrosis, but I also have a lat flap. The flap is internal, like a sling, and the skin on top is just for show, as I had that apple core technique which actually healed to perfection. My PS says no worries, no big deal, just like you.
Now I just have to decide to get my guts in order to do the prophy...I only have 10-15% risk in that girl, but it's too much risk for me. And I sort of would like to match....walking in circles. The PS doesn't like to do nips until I do whatever it is I am going to do, as he likes them to match perfectly. He is a perfectionist in what he does, lucky for me
.Love, gentle hugs, swift healings and yippee squishee new boobs to all of you!

... hi there tiny tata...
.... So, when you get your guts all ready... and picked back out of the toilet....
... when are you gonna get your Prophy? I bet that this is hard. I mean.. when I did it... I said.. Bi-lat.. all the way... be done. You, and those like you... are in a VERY different place than I/we were from the get go.... You have had the... " time" to relax some... know what to expect.. etc...
So, I suppose I am saying... I "get:" the fact to need to get your guts!
Take care of YOU!

I'm still up, watching American Idol. Finished my 2nd glass of wine a while ago.

So, I was thinking about my lumpiness and realized that maybe I have some leftover scar tissue from my 2 biopsies last year. Maybe it's just gotten worse. It is in that area. Hmmm... wishful thinking??? I don't know? Holding onto hope, but obsessing!!!
Hope everyone had a good night!

Kittycat - I am crossing my fingers and toes for scar tissue my dear! Please know that we are all there rooting for you!!
Annie - I am w/ Laura -it is one thing to decide BMx from the get go, but harder to decide to go back into all this. Still.... I would do it all again for the peace of mind. Best wishes w/ your decision.
To all who are facing surgery and healing this week - gentle hugs are going your way!!
