Whitedove, love the post. You nailed it!

So many kind thoughts...thanks so much ladies...thank you for all you good wishes.
I've been off line for a few days. Here's what I've decided...I'm going to be fine, I am going to loose the weight that was gained with the stress of holidays and cancer, I am going to keep walking Smudge often
I am going to reread Dean Ornish one of my favorite healthy heart doctors and tweak my diet a bit more. I am going to practice my yoga and gardening and continue life. Today I see my cardiologist and gp for followups since my abrupt hospital visit. I will get the big picture and carry on from there.
I have a feeling that nips and fat grafting may not be in my immediate future......maybe nips will be ok but I don't think I'm suppose to have any anesthesia for now.......thank heavens my TEs are out and my squishies are in....a silver lining for sure

Kate, love the airport quote, I'm still trying to get out of the airport...where the heck is my cab!
Whitedove list of what we've been through is brilliant.....
Laura I hope you sons tests come back with a way back to health and you can all breath a sigh of relief.
Thank you Emme, Artsy and everyone who has sent me hugs and good wishes.
Wishing everyone the best with exchanges, nips and surgeries of any kind this week.
Healing and strength to all,
Laura2

Laura2, It sounds like you have a good plan moving forward. Praying that your dr. appts. have the answers you seek. Prayers for you to execute your plan. Like you said, thank goodness the squishies are in. The rest is gravy. Plenty of time for that. Hugs

Oh I forgot to comment on this last night:
Kate -- great image (the airport) -- I will have to get that book!
Whitedove -- eloquent list
Thank you both!

(((Laura))) Big, big hugs! We are all thinking of you today and hoping for the best possible news today for you and your son.
Kate: LOL! That would be some adventure, now wouldn't it?
Kay: Go get 'em girl! You sometimes sound so much like me it truly cracks me up! I think my dr's aren't used to someone coming in and knowing what they want and how to get it. Maybe if you bring them some jelly bellies they will submit to your demands
Kristen: I sent you a PM.

Hi,
For the first time I have had pain and discomfort with a fill. I had a fill last monday. I'm up to 800cc's. I was sore the first day and didn't have a great night. My breastbone and below the TE hurt the next day. The following days I was at my daughters doing a little lifting and taping up boxes...OMG my underarms to down my sides were sore too....my chest still hurts. Is this normal? I even took a valium last night so I could sleep. I am due for a fill next monday...I am reconsidering. Wow, I sound like a baby.

deekaay- OMG, the steri strips just about drove me nuts! So can definitely empathize with you, girl. I had them over my incisions and over every single external stitch she used for my Alloderm- 12 in all! Forget water boarding, just put steri strips all over me and watch me go insane.
Laura2- Hope your appointments went well and that you have a plan in place. Sorry you are having to go through all this but glad Smudge is by your side. I have a dog named Scout that is my Smudge and I swear she keeps me going. Good luck!

Emme You do NOT sound like a baby at all!! 800ccs is a lot! That's were I stopped. When I got to 700ccs I was in pain for a solid week, it was the first time I had any pain from a fill all the others went so smoothly. I felt like I was run over, then I put off my last fill to get to 800 for a week cause I needed to just catch my breath. The last fill was a DOOZY! I would say that was another week of pain. I had to take demerol at night to get to sleep. Now I've been carrying 800 ccs around for the last 5 months with 2 more to go until my exchange!! I don't have any pain but there is discomfort at night trying to sleep. I don't know how much more you are doing but if you need to take a break from the discomfort just tell your PS and give it another week to rest and breath.
Good luck to you!!

Whitedove ~ Well said! Not to mention having to deal with 5 surgeries and wondering everytime as they roll you away if you will wake up again.
Claire ~ So true! We really do need each other whether we realize it at the time or not.
Hope to meet both of you in Vegas!!

Emme- When my fills started to become painful I read on here that some women were taking a muscle relaxant called Flexerile. I asked my PS if she would prescribe it and it worked wonders. I think most of the pain from fills is coming from the pec muscles being stretched so the relaxants work really well for that. The prescription was very inexpensive, too. It makes some people sleepy who take it but I didn't have any problem at all with that.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I sent timtam a PM and she assured me that the picture forum would not be shut down. She said they are just trying to get it all straightened put and secure. Off to the dermatologist for me tomorrow. It seems the rash is not really going away. Not getting any worse but really not any better either. My surgery is scheduled for Monday but I am doubtful that it's really going to happen. I see my PS on Thursday so I will have to see what he says. Wish me luck! {{{{to all}}}.

Hi Girls!! Hope all is well with you... I had my breast exchange on the 15th ... All went well... Mentor 750 high profile... I love them I am very happy... I fit is the same bras that I fit in before the exchange... Incision is very thin... I only had pain for a few days nothing that pain pill or Tylenol couldn't cure. Back to work today a full 8 hours... It's amazing.. DH is happy too.Went today for a follow up and all is good... Just let the steri strips fall off and back to new... Yeah right what about the nipples......??????? Have an app on the 30th for that discussion....
Stay well everyone. In my thoughts and prayers

Hi Emme,
I remember I was a bit sore after I reached 700ccs. When I went back next week, my PS said he could give me my last fill, to 800ccs, and stop there, which would give me roughly the same b-cup size I had before. Or, I could go up to 1000ccs if I wanted to be somewhat more "bodacious"; he left it up to me. I let boob greed overtake me, and went for the 1000ccs. I hurt after all of the last 3 fills, especially the last one. I stayed at 1000ccs for four months until my exchange. For the last 3 fills, I usually had to take Advil for two or three days afterwards, because my muscles really ached. Just take pain relievers when you need them, and try to avoid quick, jerky movements, because they are more likely to hurt your muscles. A lot of the girls stick an extra week in between fills if they get too sore, and that might help too. Just do whatever works for you, and best of luck to you. It isn't easy, but the results are worth it!

Mine are Yorki-Poos. My DH and I went to get a puppy and came home with two!
My DH is gone a lot, too (pilot) so I can relate. Mine are watchdogs, but definitely not guard dogs! LOL! Love that yours is Jesse- that is my "real" child's name, my 13 year old son!

OMG, these pup pix are beyond adorable! We have two little rescue kitty sisters who are a trip! But...they will not be posing for any cute pictures--against CAT RULES. Any cat people know what I mean.

Jesse already had that name when we got her..my girls call her Jessica-or Pudge or my favorite name to which I have no idea where it came from

Kate and whitedove you have absolutely read my mind. So well said and everything I'm feeling. Thank you for making me feel like I'm not alone. Kate, your talk of the airport reminds me of when I got summons to the full body screening area - a story I shared earlier on here. There are many days where I feel like I am still standing there all by myself. Being on here always makes me feel so much better. All of you are amazing - Thank you!!!!

anniealso: I am beyond frizzy, doglike hair (funny, that's what my husband calls it, ruff!) mine is downright kinky! I have never in my life had hair like this and I can't believe chemo does this. My hairdresser told me that it could change the texture of my hair, but we were hoping for straight. I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated I am trying to even style it.
twirlandcurl & Kate: What cute babies you all have! Just darling! We have two rescue cats: ashes and cinderella who refuse to pose for a picture. Nope, not having any of it.
Laura & Laura2: We are here for you. Heart disease runs in my family and I have to be pretty careful with my diet and getting enough excercise. Some things fix themselves with time and some require lifestyle changes but it is doable. My husbands heart was much, much worse as a child and even when I met him. It has gotten much better and I just had a very good cardiogram last week, which was a relief. Hang in there.
Ladies who have exchanges this week or other procedures, good luck to you and let us know how you do!

Hugs and best wishes for good surgical outcomes for those having surgery this week.
TwirlandCurl and Kate - Love your pup pix.
Laura - hope your son is doing better. Prayers to you and him.
jizogarden - prayers that you get your heart situation taken care of.
I am almost 1 year post BMX and just said to my DH yesterday that I really seem to have blocked out the last year from my brain. I know I went through all the stuff and that it was even painful. I really don't remember the TEs very much. They never bothered me and fills never hurt and couldn't sleep except on back, but no other recollection of them. Then I had an exchange for smaller implants and in Dec. the larger implants and nips and areola graft. I vaguely remember any of it, except that the proof is in my mirror every morning. Has anyone else experienced this selective amnesia or is it the anesthesia brain that has erased everything from my memory? In someways it is very scary that I can't remember and in others, probably a relief. Just wondering.

Emme - I was filled to 850 cc's and my arm and shoulder ached from the last fill till I woke up in recovery.... massages, advil, hot showers helped.

jkz: As long as your dermatologist can ascertain that your rash is not infected or that it is not a symptom of another ailment, you should be able to have your surgery.
My rash is starting to lose its pink color and is less "bumpy". It is more flat. It has a dusky shade to it. ONC said it is on its way out. He said that if it is still around by surgery time PS should go ahead because it seems harmless.
Thinking of you and praying that you will have a safe and successful exchange surgery.
Brenda
P.S. I love the furry friend photos.

Brenda -- so glad the rash is waning!

Ladies, Your words to me on here have made me feel so nice. Thank you so very much. I thought I was going to fall apart the night I wrote that original post. I do not " fall apart" here... or... EVERYONE falls apart... As I am sure you ALL understand, as you are the mothers and wives... or simply.. WOMEN! We have not gotten the results of the heart monitor test. I bet it comes tomorrow. Dr. called this morning to tell me that as soon as he hears.. he will call us. He is a jewel of a doctor.
Again... thank you. You are in my heart!!

Still praying for both you and your son, Laura.
