Pam: I've never been to Florida, but I love sitting in with other people's bands. So fun!!! You never know!

Thanks girls. I will try to stay calm even though my mind is racing about this all the time. At this point just want to get it done and hope I look as good as all of you.

Annie,
YOU are great! and I do know what you're taking about NO FACE! People that I haven't seen in a while will ask how you are, while staring at your FOOBS. I feel like screaming" Hey , I'm still the same person, and still have a face",
Ruth, I hope that you are not dealing with CC, I have been massaging my CC breast for months now, It's a very slow process.
Whippet-mom-- I'm thinking I must cancel my exchange.... I was in a hurry to do it before the end of the year... For copay and insurance reasons, but hey you can't take it with ya, I'd rather have nice, soft foobs, than to be rich. lol.. I'm not sure how long I can keep these TE's but think I can massage a lot rougher with them. Today is seven months post for me, Wow time goes by fast after the pain stops.
Blessing to all
Tammy

Hello all, and happy mom, 3 days, and you will just go to sleep, honey and wake up all yippee squishee! Sweetie, you too!
Laughing at everyone's digital pix tales....I don't dare, I am so impaired with posting stuff, I know my kid will find them online. Kid, hah, she's 21. I would forget (arimibrain) and leave 'em on the camera, I just know it.
I'm so sorry about the nosebleed, Sandy, that is an interesting one to go thru. I went in with an expander spasm and my onc made me stay overnight thinking I'd had a heart attack. No, but I almost did from his freakout!
Laura, you lil rascal, you, you have seen me and you KNOW that I am telling the truth about my bag lady look. I don't think a CT housewife is me. I'm too silly! And no where near fancy enough or rich! I could try to repost, but it took me forever to do it the first time, and my daughter got very pissed at me for posting my photo online. A college kid got po'd at this, do you love it?
Vanderlady: first, your pics are just beautiful....wonderful job. Second, our family issues are the same, this is quite odd....my dad just passed away last summer from altzheimers. I am the only one, ever to get breast cancer. (Of course, I am also the only one to have thyroid issues, and I do often wonder if bc is autoimmune in nature) I have Hashimotos disease which makes me fat, tired and cranky.
but let me tell you, your recon pix are beautiful!!!!
Tami, it's all too true, right? No one talks to your face anymore. I often want to slap a sticker on the hoots that says "my face is up there"....
love, love, love

Tammy - every time I rush into something I regret it! The PS who did my exchange made me wait until January even though he had said he could do it 3 months after the last fill which would have been December. I really wanted those TEs out but he wouldn't do it. Then in March he rushed me into the nipple/areola graft procedure and I wasn't happy with the implants. When I had the revision and replaced the implants, having nipples created another complexity for the new PS. As it turned out, I once again reached my out of pocket this year anyway -- first there were was the exchange in January (wouldn't have paid anything if it was in December), then the nipple/areola grafts, and this month the revision. I just would have paid it a little later in the year.

Sweetie - What kind of implants did you decide to go with?

Hi all! Wish I had known about this sight earlier as I am not entirely happy with results, as I am smaller than I expected to be. Had my exchange last Thursday with follow-up appt with PS in the AM. Curious if others have felt this way, and if so, did you just live with it or have "foobs" redone? Or is it too soon to know this for sure? I thought PS and I were on same page, clearly not!

im having mine redone in november with another PS lol
so, no, i'm not living with it - i figured one more try

Congratulations Lilah on finishing treatment!!!!! I hope you are going out to celebrate!

Kay: Congratulation!!!! It is so way about time!!! Do we have a final size or is it still a wait and see when you wake up from surgery what they could fit in? I am so very happy for you! Lilah: so sorry you are having an awful week! Bleh!!! So happy you are going to be done with Herceptin. Congratulations!!! You are done!

Boots: It can take months for the new foobs to settle. Give them time as they need to Drop & Fluff. I had my exchange on 8/19 and I am still waiting;)
0 -
Boots: It depends on how small you are. Since you are going to your PS for f/u tomorrow, if you know what size - volume and style of implant you have, and can include your height, weight and ribcage circumference, we can give you a good idea regarding the appropriateness of the size for your frame. We might be able to give you some questions to pose to your PS. Essentially, it will also be important to know the style and volume of your TEs...
But, as MBJ stated above, it takes a couple of weeks to a month to see how they are going to settle. You would need to wait three months for any exchange to another size - just to give the tissues time to heal.

Whooo hooo, Lilah! So glad you're done. Sorry about the bad week tho. But the weekend is coming.
Kay, so exciting you finally have a date! Just a month away. And you know how fast time goes. Why you'll barely have time to get your gift bags ready.
Boots, I'm gearing up for revision #3. We just don't have to live with it. Nor should we.
Twirlandcurl, you are going to love the new you. No more rocks allowed.

m-star - yiippeeeeee!!!!! it's about time! You had your DMX about a week before I did. Your posts on the acs site were invaluable. you're the one who led me to this site. i'm so happy you finally have a date! there is no comparison between the te's and implants. excited for you!!
twirlandcurl - you're almost there! you've made it this far, 12 more days is nothing. I so know ... I was in almost constant pain with my te's. I woke up in recovering saying over and over while touching my new foobs, "They're so soft." I'm sure I looked and sounded like a complete loon! It's coming girl, it's coming!

Did everyone see the video from BCO's President and Founder, Dr. Marisa Weiss? She was recently diagnosed with BC and said it has only reconfirmed her commitment to this site. Here's the link-

Hi everyone,
I have been in Atlanta for check ups and what a lot to catch up on! Got to see my PS...not so sure he was glad to see me! My ONC says things are great, still wants me to do the Tamox.
Boots: You have found a great place to come not only for information, but for encouragement, good laughs, and always a sympathetic ear. I am 3 weeks post exchange and felt just like you. I was really pretty angry at the PS when I found out I was the recipient of 425cc Moderate Plus Profile implants and not the 450-475cc High Profiles that I was expecting. They seemed so small; I just felt betrayed! The ladies here encouraged me to give the implants a chance to settle and wait for some "drop and fluff." After seeing my PS last week and expressing my disappointment he did explain some of the reasons he went with the smaller, lower profile for me. He did listen to my concerns, said we could exchange for the High Profile but encouraged me to give them time to settle. (I think he just thinks I will get used to them.) I will go back in 2 months. I have seen some change...they are a little more even in size, right side has dropped some but still about an inch higher. One thing that has helped (I think) is wearing a good underwire. PS told me he had no preference regarding bras so I went straight to Nordstrom for a fitting and bought several Wacoal and a Natori. The other thing that I believe has helped is massaging the implants as the PS recommended, 4-5 times a day. Boots, I know its hard but be patient and wait to see what will happen. Your PS may have had good reasons too. Too bad some don't prepare us ahead of time!
m-star: So glad to hear you have your date. Its been a long wait! A long overdue thank you for your U-Tube videos. They were very helpful to me during the expansion process.
Vanderlady: I am so sorry you had to go through the waiting game again with the cyst. I had one too at about 4 months post BMX so know how that feels. What a relief to find out it was ok! Have you made any decisions on a revision?
Estepp: You sent such a sweet reply when I initially posted my disappointment with my exchange. Thank you for that. How is your son doing? I'm sure you updated somewhere but since I have so much catching up to do I thought I would just ask.
Whippetmom: I am going to try to get access to the picture forum so I can post my pictures. My PS said he used the MPP because he was concerned about too much of a step-off. He said I have no skin issues so could trade out for HP if I wanted. He said he could do some fat grafting but I would welcome your thoughts. Sometimes I fear that I may be expecting too much.
Lilah: Great news! It must feel so good to be finished!!
Night everyone!

Hi all! I need some advice about my exchange which is coming up on Oct 15. I haven't been wearing a bra since my TE placement in Feb, but my PS wanted me to get one to wear after the exchange, so I went & bought one yesterday. I was standing in the dressing room in tears wearing this bra & looking at these huge folds of skin under my arms. I've left a message for my PS about doing something about them when he does the exchange.
Is this something that is usually done at the exchange? If he doesn't want to do anything I would like to be able to say that it's usually done then. I really don't want to wait another 3 months for a revision, I've been waiting 8 1/2 months for my exchange.
Thanks in advance,
Cheers, Dee
(ps, I won't be back to see replies until Saturday night, DH is taking me away for two days for birthday week!)

Lilah! A big whooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo for being done!!
M Star, you got your date! Yay!
twirl and curl..........almost there, hon!
Girls, it took almost 2 months before I stopped looking like a flattened hamburger bun and it suddenly began to appear booblike. After that it was like a miraculous thing...every week brought subtle changes, and now, it seems to have settled in nicely.
Everyone be well. Lilah, so sorry about your week, but I am really glad it's nothing bc related. We tend to usually figure everything is bc related, but of course, the rest of life goes on and hits us in the face too........
love to all

GOOD MORNING GIRLS:
M-STAR-- I'M happy to HEAR you finally got a date to the PROM!!!!!!! Youve had a long wait. I also thank you for the you tube posts of your fills. You are a very brave lady-- I'm wishing you the best possible outcome.
LILAH--CONGRATS on your finish of herceptin. You girls are going to have a blast in LV.
VANDERLADY-- About that fat graft-- Did your PS do it at the time of the exchange? And can you explain a shelf? I think that is what my CC breast looks like. But I'm getting used to it, better than nothing. or its better than boobs on my back, lol
ANNIE/ CT Bag Lady/ aka Aging Stripper--- I just want your stripper FOOBS, and I haven't even seen them. I have been having trouble acessing the forum--I don't think I'm supposed to see them--cause mine are so messed up, I'll be jealous.lol
DEBORAH--I am normally very strong-- but all the decision making is taking its toll....I hope you don't think I'm a cry baby, and I want you to be straight up with me. If you feel I would benefit from waiting, I will wait. I also want you to know that I use young living oils, My PS knows, and she to belives that is why I wasw able to do 2 fills on that breast. Waiting may only give me better results with the oils, Iuse them for deep massages. THANKS
Blessings to all
Tammy
