It's so much fun to see everyone's cat pics -- they are all so pretty and look like they are full of purrsonality! Our cats are Bengals and they were the gift my DH and I got each last year, shortly after we lost two elderly cats. These boys really helped us get past the loss of our other sweet kitties.
I'll check with my internist if this blasted incision doesn't heal up soon. I have to call her anyway because the Cipro made me really sick -- was hugging the porcelain for Christmas Eve. Yuck!

Aw Bonnie I wish you nothing but health and healing!
Bonnie and Beau are beautiful, East Coast Girl!

Bonnie: I can't imagine taking that long to heal. Maybe lack of oxygen to the radiated side? I doubt that you are a smoker but this would certainly cause a problem as would the vitamins Lilah mentioned. Please speak with your doctor as that is an incredibly long time to be seeping. I am so sorry you have had so many troubles and so much illness. Your Bengals are truly beautiful! I had an aquaintance who had a couple and they had the most amazing personalites.
Everyone's cats are just gorgeous. I don't know what I would do without my animals.

Okay I'm going to try this one more time!

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas (for those who celebrate Xmas). We're having a blizzard here in NY. I stayed in my PJs all day.

bonnie - did your surgeon put surgical glue over your stitched up incision? I cannot believe you still are having trouble. That is just wrong.
Kind of funny, kind of sad. I dreamt the other night that people couldn't tell if I was a boy or a girl. Sheesh. Think I am having trouble accepting this new body?
We have 110 lb Anatolian Shepard.....she prefers to be called 'large boned' as opposed to fat. She also thinks she is a 5lb toy poodle.

mom3band1g -- The surgeon did not put surgical glue over the incision. If I look at the incision in a magnifying mirror there are 2 "holes" that are trying to close up and another spot that just seeps occasionally. I think the incision will eventually close up on its own, but plan to talk to my internist this week.
Your dream sounds like a bit time stress dream for sure! Accepting our new bodies is not that easy, but we get there eventually.
Your dog must be really sweet. My son has a big shepherd/retriever mix and she thinks she is a lap dog too! It's so funny.
mfrog -- pretty cat!

We could probably have a whole forum on "post your pets". I too love seeing all of them.

Bonnie,
I have an area on my left (non cancer) breast that the skin looked dark purple from the incision and tapered down about an inch and a half, right after BMX. PS said could be bruise but looks like necrosis, dead skin and hopefully not all the way to expander. Well, the skin there eventually peeled and nice new healthy skin underneath, thank goodness! BUT, the insision area where it started, not so good. Wouldn't heal properly, kind of had a yellowish "goo" that was taking forever getting smaller and going away. So, the PS said it won't heal, dead skin, going to remove it. I had to have another surgery to remove that skin. (could of done local but he was afraid it might be infected inside and wanted me under just in case he had to clean out around expander....but it wasn't, all was well) I'm so glad he did that. The incision looked better immediately. Healed SO quickly after that...and he ended up taking away quite a bit of the dark scarring the necrosis had left. Maybe since yours is not healing it's because of some dead skin in that area? Anyway, my point on that is yes, definitely get it looked into.....and if it needs to be re-done, or removed, it's not a bad thing! Mine is so much better now.
Hope you get it resolved quickly. 0 -
I think our pets are what helped us get through this bump (excuse the pun) in our roads. My gray and white baby didn't leave my side after surgery and chemo except to eat and use his litter. I'm as dedicated to their well being as they are to mine

Oh, and I stayed in my jammies all day yesterday too! After 14 inches of snow, in an area that is NOT used to getting much snow ever, there was no chance I'd get out of this house anyway.

Claire -- what adorable cats AND a fantastic picture of them!

Oh my gosh!!! Finally able to up-load this picture! This is my little Rory who I think looks just like DiDel's kitty. :-) I've been really struggling to load my pics! She's my little scaredy-cat but she's a sweetie. Diane

Sorry for the double posting but wasn't sure if I could paste two pics in the same post but here's my other girl, Zoe. She's my lovey dovey. She hasn't met a person she doesn't love. I've really enjoyed viewing everyone's beautiful pets. I know that my kitties have been my buddies throughout my BC...sticking by my side when I haven't been feeling well and putting a smile on my face.

Diane -- what a cutie Rory is! She looks pissed off that you made her pose for the picture lol
Oh and Zoe is beautiful!

They are both adorable! Love all the pics, maybe we should have a pet thread?
I wanted to add that my kitty stayed close to me during treatment, when I came home from the BMX, she wouldn't leave the end of the bed when I was in it. If I stayed in bed all day, she wouldn't move. I don't know how they know, but they do!
