Well Deb the just thinking about going to ToysRus made me laugh I actually think some of these stores train there staff there. Well I have this new thing that I have been feeling with all the cold that my foobs change shape it is very strange for me but they pucker as though thee were a nipple it is very weird. I was just wondering if anyone else felt this?

well crap.....I was happy in my toysrus world!  If I get measured in a store (Nordystroms) and they come up with a C or a D I will cry.  Seriously, loud drama-filled cry.  I think I will stay in ToysRus...I feel safe here.  Ha ha.

Real question though - why are the foobs cold almost all the time?  So odd.

    mom3band1g - I 'm about your same stats - a little larger rib cage & I'm a C.  Whippetmom & Dawn-Hope are right.  There's no way you're an AA.

Your foobs are always cold because the implants are filled with a viscous silicone gel that needs to drain heat from your body to get warm.  No more blood vessels to bring nice warm blood to them.  Good thing you don't live further North!

mom3band1g Go to the website for international bra size calculator. It uses three measurements instead of 2 and is much more accurate. When I put my two measurements in it said I was a 30DD which is ridiculous since I've worn 34c most of my life. After entering the 3 measurements I got a 34C which is what I am fitting into...my old bras! I don't have the link but if you google it you will find the site. Hope that helps

The sizes are just a number.  Don't obsess too much over it.  What matters most is: are you happy with how you look?  How you feel?

Ok, thanks for that website DiDel.  I went and did it, if I didn't include the above breast measurement it said 32 A  but when I added that 3rd measure it went up to 32 C.  Lilah you are right, it really doesn't matter.  I am getting hung up on this because I am having such a hard time accepting this new me.  I'd rather have  my tiny old breasts.  Thanks for putting up with all my obsessing and complaining.  I truly have no where and no one else to talk to about this.  This is truly one of those things where unless you have experienced it you have NO clue.

    thanks all.

Aw Mom3b -- go ahead and complain all you want :)  I am just saying that it's only a number... are they really a lot bigger than they LOOKED before?

DiDel thanks so much for posting about the bra size calculator.  I am bang on 36C and that's what I was hoping for.  I also input my daughter's measurements and it gave us an accurate measurement for her as well.  The good news is she needs new bras (we kind of figured that) and I'll be inheriting all her old ones!  I'll finally be able to wear a demi cup!

Thanks for the info Dee-Kay and Dawn Hope. I'm actually looking forward to this step and just want to keep them looking good. What do you think of wearing a sports bra for a few days? Would it be less likely to crush the new nips?

cleo - My sports bras compress the foobs the most, so for me, the sports bras were not the best things to wear.  I wore the post-surgical bra they sent me home in from the hospital for a week.  When I had to dress up, I wore my bras with the loosest band size (32, I usually wear a 30) and I loosened the straps and that worked well for me.

Hello,I had my exchange surgery 2 weeks ago this coming Wednesday. What is the best thing to wear?Compression bra, which is what the PA suggested, sport bra?  Should I wait until they settle in the pockets? My implants are Natrelle Silicone #20 500cc. International Bra Size Calculator measurements were 29" 35" 31"  results being a 34D. They still look sort of box like..... will this change?  Should I have even measured yet? Feeling somewhat anxious and want to make sure everything proceeds as it should.  Any advice or suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Hi All!

Today I had appts with both my PS and BS.

Today's appt was just a follow up and my BS gave me an all-clear and will see me again in 6 months time. Yipppeee!

My appt with the PS was a pre-surg appt.

I have posted before how I was worried about the size of my TE - it's only filled to 360 cc and I was a bit worried it might be too small even though my PS assured me I would be a C when he's done and that he's going to give me symmetry with my natural side.

My exchange is Feb 3 and today I had a few questions for him.

I asked to see what he was going to put in me and we talked about sizing.  He went to his cupboard and started handing me a bunch of "gummy bear" gel filled implants!  It was kind of funny but very comforting to actually see and touch the implant.

He then took measurements and made notes for the surgery.

He showed me the Allergan 410 implant and told me that based on my measurements he's going to use a 410 FX on me and will take in both a 495 and 560.

He also told me that the TE he used on me was a 13 cm low profile one (you were right Whippetmom) to expand the bottom/base of my breast.

So in my case my PS only used a 300 cc low profile TE (overfilled to 360 cc) and will be replacing that with a larger Allergan 410 495 or 560 cc implant.

I also asked him about the "soft tissue" (aka fat) that the TE is pushing out at the top of my chest and he said that he would lipo that at the exchange surgery or use it for a fat graft if needed on the side (underarm/chest area).

On my natural side he is going to use an "anchor" incision to lift it.

I just thought I would share this info with you since some of you may be having similiar recon.

I could use a little advice.....I had bilateral reconstruction November 22,2010.  The right Natrelle sits high and rounded...the left low and flat..no cleavage on that side.  Anyone else have this issue, and if so, did you have additional surgery to correct the problem?  I'm not at all happy IN my clothes....much less out of them :(

Oh Suzanne sorry you're not happy with your results. I wasn't all that thrilled with mine initially and had a revision. I also went to another PS for a second opinion on how to fix so I would be happy. Both PS's were on the same page..use a little Alloderm. I had a flat spot on the right and it was sitting up too high cause I had scar tissue on that side that was not allowing the implant to drop. My PS added Alloderm  used smaller implants and widened the right pocket. It sits a little lower and I am very VERY happy in and out of clothes ...FINALLY.

I would tell your PS exactly what you are unhappy about. My PS took pics and together we discussed how everything looked. I felt much better that I wasn't just being picky and the pics helped me have a different view point and made him study them closer to come up with a revision gameplan. I am sure your PS wants you to be happy too. My PS said very few exchanges go without revisions. Another thing I wish they prepped me for at time of mx.

    Good luck!

    Diane

Marie:  Wow...what your PS proposes sounds great to me!  Post-exchange, I would love for you to post your photos - TEs to implants - on the pictures forum.

suzanneinphoenix:  No - that does not sound acceptable at all!  Do you want to email me photos privately so that I can see what is going on?  You might need to find another PS if your current one thinks all is well and no revisions are needed.  Many of us have additional surgery or surgeries to correct an unsatisfactory issue after the exchange.  PM me if you want my email address.

Thank you, Diane and Deborah for responding to my question :)  I see my PS next Monday.  He had said that most before/after pics had some "tweaking" that the pics didn't show....I will definitely post again after my 1/17 appointment :)  Thanks for all the encouragement and great advice!  If I don't like what he tells me, I will be getting a second opinion...trust me!

Just my 2 cents worth on bra fittings....I must be the only woman on the planet who was not happy after getting a bra fitting at Nordstrom's.  The "fitter" I had didn't seem to have a clue.  She brought me several bras that puckered in the front, and said they'd be fine after washing (huh???).  And I must have really looked old that day, because all she brought me were "old lady" bras--nothing pretty or sexy.

I must have just been lucky at Victoria's Secret, but I got a woman who sized me, not a girl.  And the fitting was in the dressing room.  Anyhow, she brought me bras that fit, and look great!  So, I guess I'm just different, LOL...

Diane... thanks for sharing that !  VS can be VERY helpful too. Sometimes VS can have really young fitters, and this can be uncomfortable for some.

I, too, liked VS and liked the way those bra were SEXY! The Nordy's bras were comfortable.. and they served the purpose.... and they fit like a glove...... but the VS bras lifted the sisters and pushed them out the top...LOL... made me feel young again. At Nordy's... I personally wore a smaller size... and at VS.. I was a 34 D...:)

Anywho.... I cannot wear bras anymore due to LE .... but wanted to give a WOOT WOOT out for VS bras and some of their fitters with Diane!!!!

I am having my exchange on March 1st, and I feel like I don't have the slightest idea what's going on.  DH says I'm smaller than I was (expanders now) but he says that just fine with him, but I asked to be the same...maybe it's different once the exchange is done?  I have been told I can't have silicone because they are not made for my size.  I was a "C" cup before BC and I never thought I was that big.  These expanders feel so wide, I hope the implants will be more comfortable.  My PS says she thinks I will like the final result.  I sure hope so, but it feels like it's all happening without any input from me.
