    Annie:

I hope all goes well with your last TCH's.  June 7th...whoo hoo...they will be so much softer!!

The worse part so far for me is sleeping on my back..been moving from the bed (with pillows) to the recliner.  Cannot get comfortable and wake up feeling like someone beat the $h## out of me UGH!!! Once I'm up and moving around it does feel better though.

MTKS: I hope all went well

MBJ:  I'm praying your results are spectacular!!

Annettek:  One more day!!!!! Whoo Hoo!!!! You are going to be so relieved and look so wonderful.

I still haven't posted pics of my post exchange but will do so soon.

I passed all my pre-op testing yesterday to get ready for my exchange on the 30th.  I figured that I'd just wear pretty much the same thing as I did for my BMX which was a zip up top and some really comfy jeans.  My PS told me that I would not have any drains after surgery.  Sounds like some of you did.  Anyone NOT have any?

MBJ... hope all went well today.  I am sure that we will hear from you soon.

joan888 - I didn't have drains but my PS told me that I needed to him the freedom if he felt I needed them.  I didn't need them.  Congratulations on getting your pre-op done.  You're one step closer!

    Joan:

I had my exchange surgery last Friday...no drains!  Actually I went home in a loose button down shirt and comfy jeans.  Only had a bra they issued at the SurgiCenter and some gauze for any seepage from the incisions.  Incisions covered with waterproof tape. Could shower 24 hrs after surgery.  No lifting arms overhead for 48 hours.  No pain, just soreness and took Tylenol, did the trick.  Not much swelling and very little bruising.  Have to sleep on my back...the worst!!

I'm sure you will do fine.  Stage II surgery is so much easier!

ah Joan and Carol...it is getting close for you two...I was there two weeks ago and now it is the "night before"...hubby just took me out for dinner and then we went in search of a cool place for dessert..find the neatest homemade ice cream place in the world...i am zooming about 100 mileperminute...so different though then before the BMX...although my mind keeps trying to push me to the same place I am excited...and looking forward to my own set of twins...but, since I have alloderm...what if one is a boy and one is a girl?!v(I cannot believe I typed that)

MBJ,  I didn't have time to wish you well yesterday, but I was thinking about you as I was laying there getting my revisions done!  Mine went well until later when I was bleeding like a stuck pig & was 1 1/2 hours away, but I called the office & was told this happens sometimes & should be okay.

So hope it went great & wishing good luck to Annette & Orchid for tomorrow!  Cheers, Dee

Hi everyone!  Thought I would check in before taking my bedtime Vicodin.  They did alot of fat grafting today and that is where I am sore and very bruised and swollen.  Just found out I won't be showering for a week or more and the "hat" stays on for at least 2 weeks.  I won't know until Monday when they change the bandages how it looks.  I refused all sedatives until he drew on the location, lol!  alot of measuring, moving, drawing, re-measuring.  Hope he got it right.  He also took a skin graft from my left side of my bikini area and that's bruised but not sore (yet).  It's in a place where fabric should bother it and you can't see it if I wear a swimsuit or underwear, which is what I wanted.  I have heard some have it taken from between the top of the crease of the thigh and the labia, and I was just "no way".  Anyway, sore, bruised, and hopefully when al of the

Mfrog:  Dee, I hope you weren't doing the driving!  Hope it isn't anything and that it stops soon and I also hope they did a beautiful job!  Gentle hugs!

There were a couple of us having surgeries today and I hope all is well and that they did a great job.  I am exhausted and going to bed!

Dawn,  For the most part I am done.  I needed small revisions to the lat flap scars on my back.  I had these big "zits" at the base of the scars which I wanted to get taken care of.  I just looked at them again & one of them is still weeping.  Hopefully it will have stopped by the morning.  I still have tats to do, my appt is in April, I'll be done just in time for riding season.

MBJ,  You are much braver than me, there was no way I was having that.  Skate flaps & tats for this chicken!! :)    I'm very interested in how the fat grafting goes for you, PS was saying today that he may have to do a bit, I seem to be developing a couple of ripples which we want to take care of.

Annette,   I wish they had told me this could happen.  DH & I went to look at a trailer today & I started bleeding all over this poor guys trailer.  Loved that, "what kind of koolaid"  gave me a laugh, which I needed.

MBJ glad you made it through and can't wait to hear what you think of the results (but sounds like I will have to wait).  I love the image of you refusing all sedatives till you got him to draw on you!

My PS nurse came by to wish me well and she told my friend who was there with me how I know more then any other patient they have had.  It's all thanks to you wonderful ladies here!

MFrog:  since I am a uni, I wanted a skin graft for the areola which I will get tattooed later.  It wasn't a big deal.  I still have no pain where he did the areola/nipple but I do have pain where he fixed my slight dog ear.  The skin graft site doesn't hurt either.  I know some women have had this taken from between the top of the thigh and the labia but he took mine (at my request) from the lower side where it would be easily hidden by my underwear or a swimsuit but no rubbing from clothes really.  Doesn't hurt at all.  I learned this from a New Zealand woman on the picture forum as she was gracious enough to post a picture of where her graft came from.  I am hoping I will get a more realistic looking areola next to my remaining one.

As for fat grafting, my PS did it at my exchange but it didn't take (which is common with the first round).  He took more fat out this time and I am hoping this one will work.  It isn't covered by my insurance, however, it's a teaching hospital and my lovely PS just does it anyway.  You typically lose about 50% of what they put in.  The only way I can get more though, is by going under the knife again, something I would like to avoid!  The area they take the fat out of was the most painful part of my surgery this time and last time.  It seems to take months for it not to be sore anymore.  Take lots of arnica!

MBJ,  Thanks for the info.  I don't know if I want to go under the knife again.  But we decided to wait a year to see how they "shake out" :)  They look good in a bra & even braless under clothes & there is only a small area of rippling, so I think unless I have to go under for something else, I will just leave it alone.  Hope you feel better soon,  Cheers! Has anybody had this???  I had mx 6/2010 and exchange 8/2010 with no problems.  Today I woke up with a sore gummy.  Now its red on the side close to armpit, hot and I'm running a fever.  Any idea why something would pop up 7 months later???  I've got a call into PS...called BS and tthey said PS would be one to call.

I'm sorry you are going through this but it does sound like some sort of infection. Hopefully some antibiotics can knock it out of you quickly!!!

MFrog- It makes me feel great that I could make you laugh- for I think laughter if the biggest healer of all...and I wanna heal and see that island off the BC coast in the pacific one day:)

MBJ- so glad all went well....sendng good energy apparently works miracles:)

OK-back from surgery...i woke up out of anesthesia way quicker than they thought I would. Home now after mkaing hubby stop a million places to find me diet coke with lime and an everything bagel. The experience was pretty amazing, since I cannot remember most of it@ He took three sizes in 500 550 and 600 (I was expanded to 450) and landed up putting 550 high profile smooth mentors in both sides. I love my ps...must have alittle crush on him I think...looopy from vicodin...pain kicked in like a b*tch but I feel good...these puppies are wrapped up tight...go to see ps tomorrow at 1pm....said surgery went very well and no drains (thank you God). PS mentioned he heard about my checkin at surgery center and started laughing...I pitched a fit when they tried to jack me around over $...it is all out of network and PS had told me do not worry....you will not be charged beyond what insurance pays....but then that was not the case this morning (or attempted case) I guess I went a bit nutso (ahem) and financial woman came back to me and said ok ok do not worry about this....and walked off...i marked up all the financial agreements in black ink stating what PS and his office had told me...anyway, when he cam ein to mark me up- he said, ok firecat, didn't i tell you if any bills slipped through and went to you to being it to office?! I said yeah but she was not hearing me. He shook his head and said you have to trust sometimes and I said not when talking thousands of bucks...he shook his head again and said that is why I told you not to worry and why my office manager told you not to worry....then he shook my husband's hand and said there is a special place in heaven reserved for HIM as he could only imagine what his morning had been like! Instead of p*ssing me off it broke my nerves and made me laugh out loud. I was good to go then. No botox or juvaderm today===when he was marking me up I kept point to face and he said not this time arond. Gotta concentrate on getting these placed right. It will all be good. Next thing I knew I ws trying to get off bed and freaking nurse out. Hahahaha. I am a case, I see that now. Can't tell how boobs look since they are mashed up in a good old ace bandage. Thank you all for being so wonderful and indulging my psychotic episodes through all of this. If I wasn't here typing like a madwoman I would be blabbering on to my husband. You are all so dear to me, which is about the coolest thing when you consider I have never met any of yet in person. That is a wonderful thing and no small feat....thank you
