MBJ. sorry you have a lump. I have one too that the docs think is from fat grafting. They are just monitoring it for now. My PS does a lot of fat grafting and they are now tracking the number of women who get lumps after FG and unfortunately it's pretty high. Big bummer. Hope you get results back soon that ease your mind.

MBJ- here is sending you a bbig old Texas hug and asking you to let us know once you see the BS...the fears are just something we learn to live with...but with your fat grafting that is most likely the deal my friend...
Good luck to you Dawn....it will be a good thing to lose the coconuts!
Jan- your hubby is right! I had been feeling marvelous today and the I got some pain and freaked..they did major work inside and it is hard to remember that when the outside is looking all healed...we just gotta chill a bit I guess...
Joan- my PS said the last thing you want is for your boobs too close without a bra...he fixes a lot of botched surgeries...they work with our bodies and if you trust your doc thus far...go for it..as everyone has said with a good bra you can get good cleavage but nevertheless they will be closer together than the TEs...right before my exchange I hated how it felt rubbing against my arms on both sides...that left after the exchange..but that said is why i am religously wearing the bra as instructed for 6 weeks following the exchange to "keep everything where it supposed to be"
Jujube- man those phantom itches are whacko, but i love them for I read it as healing..the coolest thing is all of the feeling on my breast skin....i am really having alot on the sides and on top and in the middle...i also get these weird electric shock things that shoot through me which I think are nerves...I swear, the things we go through...very odd
Big hugs to you all and here is another hug for you MBJ

MBJ -- don't get yourself crazy it is probably fat... I have a bump that drives me nuts and my doctors all say it's scar tissue formed around a stitch (and I never even had fat grafting). It drives me nuts! I can always feel it, have been able to feel it since about a month after surgery... so basically once swelling went down... so I know how you feel. Do let us know what happens when you see your BS... but hopefully it's nothing. I do think, as Deekay pointed out, that this is a risk with fat grafting.

annettek: Thank you for the well wishes. I will keep thinking it's the fat grafting until someone tells me otherwise. Hopefully I can get in tomorrow. I will keep you all posted as to how it goes.

Deekaay: You were the first person I thought of because I know that you have one from fat grafting. Does yours hurt? Mine just aches. It seems to appeared out of nowhere, too. It just has to be fat!
Lilah: Yeah, I have that lump under my arm, too. I always feel it but it feels different then this. I know that the lump is smooth and that should be a good sign. I remember my cancerous lumps were grainy feeling. Maybe it just separated from the rest of the fat. Trying to get in tomorrow for a check up.
Brenda: I am so happy for you! It sounds like you have a great PS and things are going well. big hugs to you!

MBJ - oh wow I didn't know others had that same stupid scar tissue lump as me! It makes me feel better to know so thanks for sharing that
I never actually had a lump -- my BC was microscopic and detected by mammogram only -- so I really don't know what a bad lump feels like.
I hope you get in tomorrow -- for the sake of your peace of mind. BC sucks for making us have to worry like this!
Sending you hugs.

firedancer: Thank you! I am going in this afternoon as they are going to squeeze me in. I might be there awhile but he isn't back in until Friday and I just want to have some peace of mind. I am really thinking it's just fat grafting but I am concerned that it hurts.

Definitley good you are getting in today, it makes sense that it could be the fat grafting, Friday is a long way off to wait & peace of mind is worth it!

MBJ, keeping you in my thoughts that it is some pesky fat misbehaving!

MBJ I had a lump after one of my sessions of fat grafting also and it was the clump of fat that did not take. I will keep you in my prayers.
I am 17 days out from my nips and I will also have fat grafting as well.
Claire82 I will keep you in my prayers also for Thursday.

Was feeling a little depressed today (I dont think I've really dealt with that fact that I have breast cancer...I've been too busy telling people that I'm OK!)
Joan..I loved the end of your post..thankyou for the laugh. "I sneezed - had to hang on to the foobs". That really made me giggle.0 -
MBJ...anxiously awaiting your outcome. If we could actually give a community hug, just know you have this community with you.
I think we're always anxious that something new will "pop up", either with ourselves or those here. Sending you positive prayers.

MBJ - best of luck today. My thoughts and prayers are with you that it is only from the fat grafting. Keep us posted. Big hugs (((((((((())))))))))))))

mejoy- i totally relate to you...every so often it hits me...breast cancer...and I just feel down...it is so big to get our minds around it when it is first happening so I think it comes out in dribs and drabs so we can handle it. Big hugs to you my friend...

mejoy I am a little over a year since my bilateral and it still hits me sometimes. I say the work mastectomy and breast cancer and it is like who am I talking about this can't be me. This diagnosis is so darn complex. I am never going to be the same person I was before in so many different ways. It makes me sad too.

I had my bmx in august and just got my TEs about 2 weeks ago. I feel like I am starting all over. After my bmx I healed very quickly and began trying to get things back to normal within a month. Then I had chemo and I fought the good fight trying to be strong and fighting back the tears every day. When it was over I was so happy and life was getting back on track once again. Well now it's time for reconstruction I had almost forgotten my plan to do this. The surgery was a little tougher than I expected this time. But i am healing well so far with only minor troubles with my tummy and a bad cough.
I call this stage the beginning of the end. Can't really call it the end since I will have two more surgeries after this. But it is closer to being done. I can only hope that the exchange surgery is easier.
