    JULES..I have not heard  of that but wouldnt be surprised if Tamoxifen did that too. I dont go for mammo as I had a bilat mx and have no breast tissue left....

    Well bumped back up to 15mg yesterday we shall see!!!!

    Jules have not heard of that but I have only been on tamox for 3 1/2 months. 

    Sandee-so sad for your kitty, mine is 13 years old and follows me around the house and meows at me all the time.  We do get so attached to our animals.

    Jules - I can't help you with but I wouldn't be surprised - anything can happen with Tamoxifen.  I have been on it foe 5 months and have not had my mammo since dx.

    Ok I have to wonder if this tamox is making my hormones very active.  I am having hot flashes 24 hours a day with no relief.  Luckily I don't sweat just get very hot then cold so I am constanly putting a sweater on and off at work and putting sheets and blanket on and off at night. I have also been breaking out with pimples.  Can't remember the last time I had this problem.  Last is my sex drive is in overdrive.  DH is not complaining, but I feel like I am in my 20's and I will be 49 next month except I have aches and pains.  Of course DH thinks this is fun and laughed and said if tammi is causing it maybe I should take two a day.  My body is so screwed up.  I don't go see the onco until the end of June, if this keeps up may have to have him run my hormone test again to see what is going on.

    Sherry - I'm sorry to laugh but it is funny about the sex drive in overdrive.  That is too funny.  I am not going to tell my DH about this - he would have me take the whole friggin bottle if that would happen to me.

    Jo my DH is probably grinding it up and putting it in my food when i am not looking.  haha.  If that was the only SE I had I guess it would not be all that bad it is just all the other freaking stuff I have to live with.  These hot flashes are getting really annoying.

    Sherry - The hot flashes are crazy.  I was down to some warm waves - now I have raging ones in the evening and sometimes wake up at night with them.  These SEs really suck.  I would like to trade in my feet for a new pair - preferably ones that don't hurt.

    Jo I am glad I could give you a laugh today about my sex drive. I actually have laughed about it as well. haha  This morning I woke up with my right big toe joint hurting and I thought about you.  I took my glucosomine and it stopped after I got to work.  I hope that was a fluk and not something that is going to start happening as well.

    Sherry - I hope you don't get the toe joint pains.  They are not fun.  Hopefully is was a fluk and nothing more.

    Sherry- glad your dad has refound his sense of humour...makes alllll the difference in the world and ells you that depression gis lifting, hmm?

    As for my cardiac classes....well....no....I was bored out of my mind...and walking slower on this treadmill than I have ever walked....hopefull they will change this..told the physiotherapist today that three days before the heart attack I was pumping 55lbs with my arms and 155 with my legs so please....get me there again as I CANNOT not lift weights with breast cancer and possibly lymphodema....and goign to pump classes kept my sanity and made me feel stronger ....need to get back there.

    Chevyboy- thanks...Mudpie is actually much better today...growled until about 4am when she was able touse the kitty litter and now she is back to her self..but she is only nibbling at her food so I am gogin to go and get some fish oil right now and add it to her food to 'loosen things up' and whet her appetite...crisis averted for the moment....but i know it is not too far away.....will break my heart yet again....

    Sherry- funny re. the sex drive...does not usually happen, right? thought it was supposed to do the opposite??

    as for other side effects....when they say 1% this and 5% that...well...someone has to be the 1 and 5%, right? the number does not come out of thin air....but horrible that it happens at all...Joe's toe, Chevy's hearing....hard toknow which is worse...

    TMaria- good for you for upping to 15mgs...! I know it is not what you want to be doing...but mayb eadding it gradually will make it tolerable.

    Sherry, lol. I'm with you on the hot flashes however, my sex drive is at 0%. Poor DH.

    Spoke with my obgyn and she say it's a combo of tamox, menopause, lack of sleep ect.  The thought of a bowl of ice cream is about the only thing that gets me excited these days.

    Jules, sorry can't help you with your concerns. Have only been on Tamox 4 months.  Hope everything turns out OK.

    I walked 6 miles today. Yipee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Now I'm slumped on the sofa with my feet in a warm bowl soaking.

    You gals are so fun!   Yes, I remember!  Sex Drive!  I'm 73 kids, and I DO still appreciate the perks of marriage, ha!   That happened to me too!  Along with the "warm waves" foot cramps and thinning hair, & hearing loss, Ha, ha!    Other than that, I felt great!   SHERRY, yes, I'll bet your DH IS grinding them up & putting them in your food!!!!! Too funny!  I remember telling my Daughter, that my brain was working better, I was remembering things, & I just felt "brighter"..... So then she said, "What, you run around the house with all your lights on?"  Such a brat!

    Sandee....I remember when we had an old cat, & when he would get sick I would go buy him some kidneys, & cook them up for him....That was all he wanted....We loved him for 14 years!  And Chevy would only eat cooked chicken....but we didn't care.... The girls gave us him when they moved out, and HE lived with us for 14 years also!   

    Then we retired, & they gave us Lacee....I think to keep us home, Ha!   And it does!  We don't stay all night when we go gamble anymore.  It's too fun to come home to her!   

    My Mammogram went great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I WAS SO HAPPY!   Next is the Radiologist Thursday, for a checkup, & blood-tests.... But I know that will go good! 

    Jules!  No wonder you don't feel like messing around, you're WALKING too much, Ha, ha!  Just go get a bowl of ice-cream, & watch a good X-rated movie while you're eating it!  Make sure your Husband is somewhere in the vicinity..... Wink

    Just to let you all know........went to pain management dr. today! WENT GREAT!!!!!! He did another spinal nerve block on me and it is going good so far.......not much pain at all whatsoever!!!
    I told him what my oncologist said...(this is normal!), he said NO IT IS NOT NORMAL!!!! He said in his career he has treated 7 women with this much pain/nerve damage from this surgery. He said it's not something that they do "wrong" during the surgery, that it does just happen and they don't know why it does, but it can. I told him the onc. said that he didnt' want me taking the loratabs because he didn't want us to have another "situation" to deal with.........he said tell him to do his oncology work, do his chemo and leave the pain management to him!!!!!! heheeeee I love this dr. !! He said I am watching you close, I am taking care of you and I say there is no reason for you not to have a non pain life!!

    He was so good, and the block was a breeze. He numbed me first then all I felt was pressure. I started to feel something and he backed up and numbed me again. Only pressure after that. My eye on that side drooped for awhile, my left arm got warm and a bit pink, and my veins on my hand got bigger for quite awhile.....but all of it has subsided now, and I am feeling barely any pain at all now!!!!!!!  

    I would recommend this to anyone who is having such pain that they cannot concentrate on anything else!!!  I can handle pain I have fibromyalgia so I live with it every day.....I can handle that little extra pain that I have had at times, but this horrible burning, stabbing jabbing pain and it being so constant I cannot handle. I am just thankful that I went to my family dr. and got so upset and told him he better do something!!!! I was at my wits end!! 

    Sherry so glad your dad is getting his humor back, that means alot!!!!!!  Sherry, so funny about the sex drive........enjoy is all I can say!!!! heheee  I cannot even believe what that would be like.....probably horrible since I am single!!! heheeeeee

    Sorry you are in pain tho.......that sucks... please check out the block.......it really has helped, and just praying it lasts for awhile!!!! :) 

    Jules, sorry I can't help you with that one........been on tammy for about 3-1/2 mths...

    Sandee........gee.......I am so so so sorry bout your kitty.... :(*  Mine is 14 now and I don't know what I would do without her.......she is always talking to me, loving up on me and just stays so close to me when I am hurting, in pain,,,,or upset.......they are such love bugs!  Keeping you and that kitty in my heart!!!!

    6 miles?   If I had to run 6 miles, I'de need to finish the last 5 1/2 miles in a wagon!  With a drink in one hand & a bag of chips in the other!

    sunangel - That is great news.  I was reluctant to go to a pain management doctor but you have given me confidence I did not have before.  I think I am going to get a referral and see if I can get rid of this boob pain - it is driving me crazier - LOL!

    Chevyboy - Hey girlfriend - oh! by the way - WHACK WHACK - back at you.

    Tink - Think I will join you - the ice cream looks good - HEY!  Don't look now - WHACK WHACK HEHEHEHE

    PS..... I know this sounds funny, but I can actually cup my boob in my hand and not want to scream or cry!!!!  That is how tender, sensitive, burning, pain it has been in. I haven't wanted to even touch it....it hurt so bad.....  I can push on it and it don't hurt at all now!!!!! :)

    Sunangel thanks for the PM. I am so glad the nerve block is working for u and glad to hear it is not that bad. I have breakthrough pain on my meds. At least it is not constant but boy does it hurt. I know I need to suck it up and just go see the pain dr.

    SUCK IT UP SHERRY!!!!! :)   the sex drive will probably be even better if you didn't have the pain!!!!!! heheheeeeeeeeee

    (couldn't resist!) 

    Mine was constant!! Then the pain with the sharp jabbing stabbing burning pains would about make me want to hit the floor on my knees!!    I would go forward with every one of them, and sometimes they would come about 10-20 times a day!! :(    Sometimes more, sometimes less...... and it didn't matter if I was active that day, or did nothing!! 

    and you are welcome for the pm :) Hope you get relief!!!!!!!! :)

    sunangel - I am going to have to be like Sherry and just suck it up and get an appt.  Since I can tolerate the pain, I may wait until next month when I already have 3 appts.  I am liking the idea of nothing on the calendar for May.
