    Glad you are A-OK, Karen....sleep well...hush...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Stanzie, Reminds me of the one and only cat we had, looked identical, we named  him Merlin as my oldest DD was into magic tricks. He was real sweet. Wish you were closer as we love these figs!

My PS appt went well, he wondered if I was totally satisfied with the results...told him I really am, and so happy I had him. Wishing everyone could have good results too.But I do need to return to Earleen in Asheville and get the tatts touched up. Other than needing to lose weight, I am happy.

    Okole Maluna,

Oh Beanie - just saw your avatar!!!!! Too hilarious!!! I want my cat to do that! and if she could be trained to bring them to me well then all the better!!! I never can remember the letters to ROTFLOL??? That isn't correct.... I do need sleep.....

Oh while I couldn't sleep I went back on you tube and watched old game show bloopers from Password and Match game and price is Right and Family Fued. Oh my gosh a few of them are just hysterical - oh yes and Hollowood Squares. So if you need a laugh go to those... funny!

Kymnie, Did you like the pizza the wenches made? Hope we didn't embarrass you toooo much. Since we were sooooo tiny, maybe no one else noticed us using the IV pole to dance with and slide down on! It was fun though....wheeeeeee. How are you feeling? You are DONE with Chemo!!!! YAY!!!!!!!

Back from Lincoln after seeing rad dr. for 2nd opinion. I think he thought I didn't want/need rads and was checking with another RO to see what he/she would say! But he was very thorough and caring and has a plan that fits what I had envisioned (and researched). There was no doom and gloom or dire predictions. I felt very comfortable with him and so did my husband. He spent a lot of time with us and I went through the tattoing and simulation-again-with very nice techs. They are willing to be flexible with my schedule since I'm driving so far. Will start next Wed, one day later than my start date with Dr. Jerk. So am pleased to be on schedule. I wil be getting treatments at least through the first week of school, but at least it won't be a month of school with treatments. Am sooo relieved and grateful.

Is the party bus back home? Any cold pizza left? Kymnie...be sure to let us know how you are. Guess what? YOU ARE DONE!!!

Kristy, Glad to hear you will be in the care of Dr.Nice and NOT Dr.Jerk!  Cold pizza? Nooooo....you can have freshly made hot pizza....just tell the Wenches what you like on it. However, the beer IS really cold....icy cold, and goes very well with the pizza! Glad you had a really good appt. Cheers!

Forgot to mention that after the appt, DH & went to Carlos O'Kelley's and I had an orange-mango JUMBO margarita! Have not had a real margarita in....geez, 7 months? If I have beer, it has to have tomato juice in it (red beer, we call it).  And it would be a good choice for hot pizza...I'm in.

This place is hoppin tonight! Too bad I have to work :(

NM - love your post! Especially the reclined seat (been there) and the ugly golf pants!

Had a 4 hour gap between Gilroy and San Jose (about a 30 minute drive) so I went wine tasting... had to spit cuz I hadn't eaten and I was driving but I went for an early dinner at an Italian place (funky but really good food) and they had local wines so treated myself to a nice Meritage and then spent an hour at the "big city" library... I've got a case of wine and 4 audiobooks to show for my day... way more productive then 4 hours of work! Who wants to join me for a glass of wine?

I did more than my share at the wine bar.  New winery, and someone had to taste the riesling.  However their Vif red blend kicked butt.  Quite strong too.

Think some quick dinner and an early night.

Glad all went well today Husker.  This will be over sooner than you think.

The most amazing evening here in Seattle.

Latest news is my former business partner got caught in the restructure.  Not bad news, but does change my options.  Head is spinning, and not from the wine.

Wowsers.  Glad I didn't update LinkedIn today.  Something told me to give it a bit of thought.

Been a bit off of late that's why I haven't been to the HTL but I'm baaaaaack!   JoCkS! PaNtS!     I have missed so many DOTD that I need for you to make 'em all so I can test them all out and slowly and gracefully slide from the bar stool in to oblivion for a while.

    Hi Kymm......

Major congrats, and yes, I'll drink to that.  Knew you would get there.  Doesn't matter how nasty the SEs are now.  You are done, and there's no going back.

Chrissy.....I take the same view.  Read through, and if I'm confused, just have a drink.  By the third one, it all gets clear.

Have to go have some pizza now!!!! - Claire

Good Friday Morning, Loungettes! Beautiful morning here, hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday morning.

DorK--Here's to your end of the month celebration! Great excuse for a PARTAY!

Karen--glad you arrived safely, have a nice sleep!

Stanzie--you want a special fig tree? Sounds a little kinky to me!! Not really, I can imagine what a wonderful tree the SO's former has.

    Wahine--Hooray for good PS appointment!

Stanzie--blooper shows can be absolutely hilarious, I'm going to have to check some of them out myself.

Husker--I am so glad the new doc, techs and schedule are working out for you. It is so important to feel comfortable with the doc and staff. I'm sorry about the drive, that is a bit of a hassle. Let us know how it goes. Oooh, orange-mango margarita--that sounds absolutely wonderful!

Astorm--did you catch the 19th hole in the seat of the ugly golf pants? I laughed when I saw that one. And I would be very happy to join you in a glass of wine and a listen to an audio book! Love both!

    =[

Claire--Options, options, options. Usually a good thing; is your former partner's leaving creating more options for you?

Kymn--HOORAY!!! HOORAY!! HOORAY!!! Good for you! Congratulations!

Chrissy--it's going to be great fun watching you taste all the DOTDs and get totally blasted. I promise we won't laugh at you (no promises about giggling, though). Wahine summed up the recent goings on very nicely.

DOTD:  the END of CHEMO Celebration!

    1 oz Southern Comfort
    1 tsp Benedictine
    1/2 oz White Rum
    1/2 oz Peach Brandy
    1/2 oz Creme de Bananes
    1/2 oz Lime Juice
    1 oz Guava Juice
    1 oz Orange Juice
    1 oz Mango Juice
    1 tsp Grenadine

Wow, what a great day! Kymn is DONE with chemo, and the pole was so much fun to play on, but Kathy kind of hogged it! Husker found herself a RO that she is comfy with. Karen arrived in Israel. Chrissy, looks like you were having a bout, but now bouncing back. Or is that bouncing off the floor? (he he, I saw you)

Oh Kathy.......I just came to the next page, only to see your post looked similar to mine! But BETTER. So, I ditto what Kathy said. As for going to town, I don't consider it fun. Especially when in Wal Mart.

DorK, I hope you are not working this weekend and can relax and Par Tay!

NM, hope you aren't running quite as much as last week end.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, we are starting ours today.....WOOOO HOOOOO, Happy Holidays for us here in the US and our Kymn in Canada.

    4 DAY WEEKEND!

Hoping to say hello (and hug him) this time....as long as I am not in bed w/ food poisoning...will def stay away from the broccoli salad. DH was invited to a slot tournament with lots of $$$ prizes and awards dinner, Sat brunch, etc. Hoping he wins BIG...he did place 3rd in Vegas when he was invited there awhile back. Later on this month he will be in a BJ tournament with even more $$$. I will be happy just to win a bit at bj or slots....lol. Thans for the Gambling God wishes!

heading to onc this afternoon for 1 mo post-chemo check. YAY

Then to BIL's lake home in South Dakota. DH's sis will be there, and BIL's new wife (well they have been married 3 yrs but came to soon after dearest SIL was killed in car accident almost 5 yrs ago) haven't had much opportunity to get to know her,so trying to give her a chance. My niece (daughter of deceased SIL) will be there tomorrow to see me. Doesn't care much for her step-mom..niece is 30. step-mom has done some things that appear she might be after BIL's money. THis is marriage #3 for her. So trying to be open-minded and just enjoy the hospitality and especially to enjoy the only chance i have to get away this summer (not counting the FAB bus trip to Seattle with high schoolers earlier this smmer!)

Will chat with you all on Monday probably. Don't know if I will have internet but wil take iPad just in case. I wonder if they have a real hammock? No sun for me sadly.

This being a holiday weekend I expect tomorrow will be moderately busy, with Sunday being much slower.  One of the benes of the weekend position is that I do not have to do any Monday holidays!  So I will have Monday off to go play at my Mom's place on the lake, assuming they don't go away somewhere.  Actually, I'll probably go even if they do go away.  I happen to know where the spare key is hidden (hee, hee).  Going to take Sadie and see if she'll go swimming in the lake.  Then watch the fireworks (illegal of course) that get fired off around the lake.  Someone on the lake has a cannon that he fires off periodically on the 4th.  Ah, summer!

    The most glorious weekend ahead.

Journal article topic proved not to be do-able.  I did the legwork, and just not enough there.  Interesting idea though.

NM....I don't know about options yet.  I think the short answer is "yes" though.  I can't call whether my former business partner will go on to another position, or start up her company again.  She is interviewing.  So who knows???

I do know if I work with her as a business partner that I will want a slightly different arrangement than last time.  For example, I do not want her to be the partner with the customer loyatly guys I will be doing business with, unless a specific research topic.  These would be separate gigs which I would do concurrently.  As would be anything I do with my current client.

And then a full time gig may work out.

On the other hand, someone could commission my former business partner to do a $$$$ research project where I would be well paid.  Or I could get contract work where she goes.

Now you get "not just the wine" for why my head was spinning last night.

I have to write a new LinkedIn summary to reflect all these eventualities, so I don't look lame if someone looks me up.  The current one doesn't quite do this.

I may take myself to Paradise this weekend.  My cycling club is doing a 20 mile ride up to the lodge (on Mt Rainier) and back.  I think I want to get an idea of the grade prior to committing myself to that one.  I think "TT"'s real name is "TTT", with the middle T standing for "testosterone".

I also have to train as Seattle-to-Portland is next weekend.  So at least one long ride.

Just so glorious this morning.  Have a great one LadieZ.... - Claire

NM - great to see you here at the lounge in the morning! Just love to start the day with one of your posts... gotta be careful with the coffee tho so it doesn't go up my nose while laughing...

Karen - wow, Isreal! This is better than the travel channel! Hope you have a super evening... you're 10 hours ahead of me.

Didn't get home from work until 1:30 this morning and now I'm heading back to the same office. Should have just brought my sleeping bag! Oh well, after today I am on vacation for 2 whole weeks! Not that I am complaining about my job... who gets to go wine tasting at lunch? Bummer though I left my Kindle at an office yesterday and have to go back for it. Fortunately I'll be in the neighborhood but I'd really hate to have it disappear... I guess people don't really lift kindles do they?
