Hi, Guys,
Been away for a while. Tried to catch up. Forgive me if i cant say hi to all.
Chabba, hope your MRI goes/went well. I understand the anxiety. I think we will just all be test anxious for a while. Thats what happens when youve been dx out of the blue.
Sherryc, i wish i could donate some of my excess poundage to you. Or at least share a milkshake. Good luck. Gaining weight is a challenge i dont have but i can appreciate that its hard.
Jo sorry if i missed this but what happened w your friend, Becky?
Ive been completely felled by bad bronchitis and asthma. Second time in two mos. Going to a pulmonologist today to try to figure out why this keeps happening. Could be an allergy. Ended up in the ER on saturday night with my first really bad asthma attack. Am now on steroids and a ton of other meds. Make me hyper like i didnt have enough trouble sleeping before. Oh and i an VERY cranky. Coughing all night. This asthma is relatively new and im wondering if its not exacerbated by the hormonal changes. Hard to know, just know that i have had it with this! Good news is that the chest xray is clear which does help me keep this all in perspective. Just a big drag. Im feeling sick all the time. And i sound like crap which seems to scare clients!
Oh well. Trying to stay positive.
Hang in, shari0 -
Sherry - When we meet up in San Antonio, I will give you the extra 8 lbs I have to shed so my winter clothes will fit. - LOL! I don't know how much you need but that should help.
Shari - Thanks for asking about Becky. She was given a clean bill of health and is good to go for another year. Missed you - good to hear from you.

shari sure hope your asthma gets better. Tell your PS husband he needs to invent a way to use donor belly fat and patent it. He would be worth millions.
Tink my dad is doing fairly well. He feels pretty good. The only thing here lately is that he has pneumonia caused by the radiation. We were a little scared last week because he had a CT scan and the radiologist did not look at his history very well and said that there was increased activity in is right lung. So we read the report and thought this does not look good. But when the MO read the report he questioned it and called the radiologist and discussed it and then the radiologist decided it was pneumonia instead of increased cancer. So he skipped a week of chemo to get the pneumonia under control and will do chemo again next week. It amazes me how Dr's can overlook all your history. I am just thankful our MO picked up on it and questioned it.

Hi all - quick question. Did anyone have toe cramps after starting Tamox? I had them last night and wow - sounds like a wimpy thing but it hurt! Seems like it went on for 30 minutes. If anyone has had that SE, any advice on how to relieve them?
0 -
bsisnofun-I get cramps in my feet from time to time and they do hurt. Seems they always get me during yoga, hate that.

bcisnofun I used to get them a lot, almost like my toes were pulling under and yes so very painful. A lot of us women have experienced similar and we found a banana a day really really helps......It does get better, mine was so bad in the beginning and now just every now and then. good luck!!!
Sherry how are you today? Thinking of all you are going through and if you want to start drinking early, I will be there with you......
Okay, so I am sooooo NOT better and now have an appointment to find out what is going on down there......WTH!!! Here is the scoop so far. I have a start of an UTI and blood in my urine. I have a Kidney disease that produce kidney stones and I have passed more than 40-50 stones in my lifetime. They think that one is stuck on the entry way to the bladder the urethra and is causing the back flush of urine which is causing all this pain. It does make sense to me, however I also had symptoms of yeast and she feels like we nipped that in the bud but now this cropped up along with it. So she has called me in an antibiotic and well see what happens. In the meantime it is drink drink drink to flush it out since it has been 9 days of pain so far. I have never had to have surgery for a stone stuck, so if it doesn't pass by this weekend we are going to do further test on me......yipee just what I wanted more test!!! Note the freakin sarcasm ladies.....now when they said to drink they never said just water, so bring on the alcohol and maybe that will cure me....
Well it seems Paula started this party early and Jo couldn't wait to jump in so WHACK WHACK WHACK and I be back for more later lovely ladies.......

June sounds like we need to start early today. I have never had kindey stones but I understand they are very painful. So sorry you are having to deal with this and hopefully all the drinking we are going to do around here tonight will help.
June I have been having more pain in my breast. I am just to the point that I don't even like complaining about it anymore. I see my pain Dr. on Oct 7th and I think I can just wait until I see him. I am using everything that he has given me and it works but I would really like to not have the intermittent pain. Would be nice if I could take a regular pill that would take care of it completely. But the upside is my PS said since the pain is only in my breast and not my arm that he feels the MX that I am going to have will take care of the nerve pain. Now I just need to gain weight. 1 pound in three months is not going to cut it. I drank a protein milk shake with ice cream last night. I could not get it all down but did drink most of it. Was going to have a banana and yogurt for a morning snack but I got busy installing new phones and next thing I new it was lunch time. So had a fast food hamburger and fries with a gillion calories. Am going to try a different shake tonight. DH hubby laughs and says I should just drink beer every day and get a beer belly. But he is freaking out that my PS is not going to let me keep my nipples. At this point I really don't care I figure I can get fakes of those as well, but DH is not dealing with it very well. He has 6 months to get use to the idea.
So here is to starting the weekend early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
June - So sorry you are having to deal with kidney stones. I have not had that so I can't imagine the pain you are in. It must be frustrating having to deal with this and BC at the same time. Yikes! You need a big hug girlfriend.

Sherry brought the beer and she needs to put on some weight so here is the pizza to go with that beer.
0 -
OH jo I love pizza and I do need to gain some weight if I ever want boobies.
0 -
Sherry - I am bringing my extra 8 lbs I have to lose. But since that is two weeks away - here is some dessert for later.
0 -
yummy and I'll take your 8lbs
0 -
OMG Jo where ever did you find those treats? Sherry I think I have come up with a plan for those 8lbs. All the drinks we gals consume tonight along with food will count as calories for you. That should bring you one step closer to get those much deserved boobies......
Believe it or not girls I have passed so many, its the passing of the actual stone that can hurt, but once it hits the bladder its pretty easy. This is such a different pain as i have not had one so comfortable and not wanting to leave my ureta.........again, why can't life be so simple and not one problem after the other....

It seems once you have a BC dx life all around gets complicated. It seems the problems are never ending - BUT you are gonna get past this one. We are all there for you.

LIfe does get complicated. I registered for something called Casting for Recovery. It is for BC patients and it is free and you spend the weekend learning to flyfish and they have speakers about bc stuff. You register and then they pick. I got picked as an alternate so still hoping that I get to go. But there is paperwork you have to send it and one is a medical release. I felt like a kid asking my mom for permission when I asked my PCP to fill it out. He then realized it had been two years since he had seen me even though her gets reports on me all the time so when I went to pick up the release the secretary said I need to come in next week for a check up. That will be easy he needs no blood work cause I get it done every three months and he gets copies and I have not been sick other than BC treatment so I'll pay him $30 and see ya next year. But he is really nice and I really like him so I'll go see him.

My brother's second surgery for the amputated foot went well. Doctors are pleased. Now begins the long rehab. I bought a Kindle today so I can loan it to him while he is in the hospital. He would never have let me buy him one and I was waffling about getting one for myself anyway.
Me and DH leave for 3 nights in Las Vegas tomorrow. Excited for both of us to get away. We are canning pickled jalapeno peppers tonight and I think the smell will linger for a few days so probably good to be away.
