As for the passwords, I have given up on trying to keep them straight in my head.  I make good use of the Password Vault application on my blackberry -- store all of my passwords in there.  Without that app, my head would spin.

Lago, I really like the butterfly and the peacock eyelashes. Really cool!

Lisa, if anyone ever figures out my password, I'm screwed! I had a super hard time remembering all of them, so about 90% of the time, I use the same one.

If I'm super ambitious in the morning I may try to go to the Komen race in Lombard - it is very close to my house.  Problem is if all of the kids want to go with me and do the 5k walk -- and they will all want to go (except for the teenager, who is allergic to anything before 10am) -- it's a pretty penny.  Wish they had a family rate!

So, than Lisa how does it work??? Is there an admission fee just to go and watch or is it only if you walk, etc??? This will be my first one attending tomorrow, in Lombard!!! My daughter and my mom are riding with me and one of my cousin's are running and raised almost 1300 bucks herself..... I hope the weather holds out!!

Jenn -- I don't think that there is any charge if you are a spectator, just if you walk or run.  We don't know anyone running, so if we go, we'll walk in it.

If I were more organized (hah!) I would have figured out some way for all of us to take a volunteer shift together.  But totally not that organized.   As it is, we have my daughter's cheer practice, a soccer game and a play to cover tomorrow, so not sure squeezing in one more item tomorrow is wise.......

    Hi gals!

Jackie, I love that kitten picture!  What a cutie!  She has three times as much fur as our little Pearl.  Pearl is now home from her spay and front declaw.  It was quiet around here last week without her.  She is still favoring her right paw so the healing process is still in progress.  It's amazing how quickly we become attached to our pets, isn't it?

Dave and I want to thank you for your kind words of sympathy.   The day of the funeral didn't start very well.  We were on our way to Springfield, all dressed up in our "Sunday best" when the tire pressure light came on, followed by a loud popping noise. That's right, we had a blow out right on the interstate.  We pulled over and Dave changed the tire in his suit.  Every time a semi went by my hair blew straight up in the air!  It is so good that we left a little early or we would have been late for his Mom's funeral.  We didn't get there any too early as it was and had to hit the restroom right away to "clean up!"  The actual ceremony was very nice.... a simple private family service, followed by a short graveside service.  Thanks again for your kindness.

Laura, are you walking in the Grand Park walk again this year?  That should be coming up, shouldn't it?

Connie, congrats on the good MRI and check-up.  These years have gone by pretty quickly, haven't they?

I have longer on the Arimidex (or generic) than you, Wendy, because my chemo took longer than yours.  I'm anxious to hear what your onc thinks about getting off the drug.  My feet really hurt today.  We went over to Clinton, IL to the Apple and Porl Festival yesterday and I walked more than usual.  I'm paying for it today.  I never had these foot problems until I started the Arimidex so I hope that they taper off once I'm off the medicine.

Well, we have the last golf scramble this afternoon and I need to get moving.  This definitely means that summer is gone and winter lurks in the future.  Bah!!!!

I hope everyone has had a good weekend.

    Rita

Madismommy.....We were posting at the same time!  Great picture!  Thanks for walking in the race.  Was this race a Susan G. Komen race?  If so, your shirts are different from the ones we got in Peoria this year.

Anyway.......great picture, cute little girl, and wonderful cause!

Good afternoon Ladies!! Been a long time since I've stopped by. Just had to share a photo of a young survivor I met at Casting for recovery. Her name is Cary Goldberg of Portland OR

This is what it will say on the side:

     I am spirit and strength
I am light, love and laughter
    I am alive and well
    I am a Sister 4 Survivors

    I am not my breasts

Rita, Paul and I had the same experience when his dad was being waked so many years ago.   OMG, such horrid tension we felt and it just seemed so unfair that he would have to face that while trying  to get to the fineral home.  I just remember sitting in the car with our baby girl and praying to his dad in heaven that this would be fixed quickly.

Jenn, you look adorable, as does your daughter and mom.  The weather was pretty awful in Wisconsinb, so I hope you were spared the heavy rains.

BJ, we were in Lake Geneva today but had the family, so knew we couldn't just pop in.  The trees are already turning in LG!  Loved it. We were with a crowd of Packer fans and Paul is a diehard Bears fan and of course the game was competitive.

My mri is on Thursday.  I have my one xanax the doctor ordered for me as I freak out in that thing.  Hate all this stuff, but it must be done.  I am actually one month overdue.  Then the bone density and on and on.

Hope the week is great for all the women.

    Susan

tdbear....how fantastic to see you here.  I have thought about you many times and quire recently so am not totally surprised that you popped in.  How are things with you?   Are you going to be in Chicago any time soon.  The X-mas party is on Dec 3rd. this yr.  Just thinking how nice that would be if you could come.  Hope all has been well and good for you and the family.

Almost up to 700 pages here.  We just keep going, and going and going.

It's rained all day here bummer.....our weather report indicated gray clouds - water not available.  I wish I had that weatherman's job.  He can be wrong just as often as he is right and no one says a word....too busy looking for an umbrella or poncho.

Mad -- you are all gorgeous and BBC ( baby biker chic ) has on pearls just like you.  Well done.

See you all in the morning.

    Hugs, Jackie

Robo....so glad you're doing well after treatment #2.  For some reason, I really just think that the sun shines around you quite frequently.  You have an uplifting personality, determination, and positive outlook.....and you're such a cutie!   Hugs!

Took a day off and went to the outlets in  Pleasant Prarie with dd. Oh, Rita, I hear you on the feet. I was  shocked on how my feet hurt.   Could this arimidex be the culprit for such painful feet?  I am fighting this and will not let on to my family how I hurt but I had to take several "bench time outs" to rest the feet.  I also managed to get quite a number of cute things there, which made it all worthwhile. To quell any fears, I did not have this problem until this year and I am off the pill in six months.

Did anyone my age see PanAm series last night?  Did that bring me back.

    Take care.

Zap, I had the foot problem about two weeks after I started the Arimidex.  Then I began taking the extra magnesium and D3 and the pain subsided.  (Thank you Wendy for that suggestions!) As long as I watched the type of shoes that I wore and walked my walking route, I kept the pain at bay.  This past 6 months have been pretty bad for me.  I still have about 9 months to go and I hate to give up this drug but I was just miserable after walking all around the fairgrounds and to the downtown area at the festival on Saturday.  They still hurt on Sunday but feel much better today since I've been off them.  Yep, I'm the one who previously walked three miles each day!   Go figure!

I'm glad you found lots of good buys!  I love the Tuscola and Edinburgh outlet malls and the Tanger outlets in Florida.  Maybe I'll have to head up your way and try Pleasant Prairie some day!

Ritajean how much magnesium do you take? My feet were never sore till I started chemo. They are better now but still get sore.

Robo.... :) my heads a big reflector too!!! You're coming Friday night right??? I don't want to be the only one with an awkward carpet on my head! ;)

I look back at my life earlier this year (pre BC) and try to remember how that was..... So carefree and easy..... who'd have thought??? I would have laughed my butt off too if someone would have told me this is how I'd end my year.

My DH is insisting on taking me to the jeweler tomorrow to price getting my wedding ring reset and a 10 year anniversary band added..... I tried to tell him no......for like 2 seconds! :)

Robo:  I still mourn my pre-BC life and it has been over 9 mo's since my DX.  I also try to just keep pushing through.  It does get easier in time but some days are still better than others.

Jenn- a little "bling bling" is well deserved. How fun!  I can't wait to see what you pick out!

I can't wait til dinner on Friday.  It will be fun!

Oh wow !!!!Count me in for the feet -- which I wasn't actually blaming on Arimidex.  I was giving star billing for that to my left hip.  Not to mention ( and I really wasn't going to mention it ) the ker-thud-splat I did the other day at the Manor.  How terribly embarrassing......so lately my knees are in the picture as well.  I'm glad of my height ---except it is a lot farther down when you fall.

I still have till November 2013 for the Arimidex so almost two yrs.  I can do it ok if it really does mean that I'm saving myself.  I am mindful that I'm probably in the group that needs it a little longer or something else.  Still have hopes that 'something' could come along by then. I wish you all didn't have this going on, but then better this than you know what.

Probably have a long day coming up tomorrow.  Better think about getting in my recliner.

    Hugs, Jackie
