EmmaC**  I am using a towel also and loving that feeling again.  Hair dries very quickly at this length.  I had my hair colored with a temporary color at 10 weeks PFC.  Now at 13 weeks PFC and the color is fading fast.

Just went back and checked the ingredients of the stuff I bought at the dollar store. No methylparabens, at least nothing that says that or the synonyms that mean methylparaben. There are so many I don't know how we ever know exactly what is and isn't one.

Anyhow, I am not sure this stuff is really meant for my hair and may be meant more for African or Indian texture, but I am going to keep using it until my hair is longer. Based on the ingredients, I think it would make a good general moisturizer. I slathered some on the foobs after my shower too.

It is called Softee Indian Hemp hair and scalp treatment. Says its light and natural..not so much.

Main ingredient is petrolatum (it has vaselineish kind of texture) but then has jojoba oil, sunflower oil, wheat germ oil, vitamin e, indian hemp oil, jaborandi oil, nettle oil, rosemary oil, birch oil, burdock oil, rosehips oil, irishmoss oil, coltsfoot oil, dandelion oil, yellow dock oil, elder flowers oil, brewers yeast oil, shavegrass oil, echinacea oil, wild cherry bark oil, nepeta Cataria. The only bad thing I can find is the second to last ingredient BHT, the preservative. I know it isn't good and can cause cancer in rats, but they are feeding them massive amounts. And they also use it in so much normal stuff I figure I unknowingly ingest itin the food preservatives.

It is supposed to ensure maximum hair growth. LOL.  I am just going to slather away until my hair is just growing while I watch it!

The Eyelash fairy keeps passing me by!!  Most of my lower lashes are miniscule.  I have a big gap on my left eye but the side lashes seem to be growing, although ever so slowly.  Is anyone else on Herceptin in the same boat?  I am almost 4 months PFC.

my eyelashes are so thin and continue to fall out although I'm never without. My eyebrows are also not as thick. I had my final Herceptin 3 weeks ago. I did question my onc about this and she said it was from chemo. I will admit I think my hair growth did slow a little bit these past few months. Maybe it's Herceptin or maybe it's fall. Who knows.

It best not be fall AND Herceptin in my case, or I won't have any growth. Let me know if you want me to get you a jar of the $1.00 hemp treatment. Maybe it will work for eyebrows! You know they used to tello us to put vaseline on our eyebrows and eyelashes. Think of this as that plus a bonus of natural oils. They may grow back in within two days!

hemp treatment?!… you want to send me a jar of pot? Tongue out   Ironically I've been using Alterna shampoo since it came out in the late 90's. It has hemp seed oil in it.

My daughter has her eye brows threaded - and they always look great.   She said the first time it does sting a bit, but she prefers it over waxing as the wax always  makes her skin so red.

I got my brows threaded on Friday, and it did hurt some.  Good to know it won't be so bad the second time around.  I do prefer it to waxing. And it is not expensive.  $8!

Now I'll have to try coloring my short short hair......

I'm finding it really funny to lose more and more eyelashes everytime I wash my face, 6wk PFC. Hair growing wildly and losing eyelashes and some brows, how messed up is that.

Question for you ladies. How long for you guys did it take from the time you had hair coverage with the little peach fuzz everywhere before you had enough hair to actually cover the bald? Just curious.

Survivor I never really looked at my hair growth in the beginning. It also came in slower on top/front. I went topless about 12-13 weeks PFC but I think I looked better 2 weeks after that. My hair transition thread has dates on the lower left corner of each photo. My last tx was 1.18.2011: linky to image if you can't find it .

Hey I have a quick question. I have access to the picture gallery and can get the "boob" pics, but haven't really be able to find the "hair" pics. Is there some secret to it or do I just have to keep looking through posts?

survivor, I am 11 weeks PFC and have had full coverage for about a week.  I am still wearing my wig to work, but topless at home (although now it's getting chilly so need a scarf just to keep me warm sometimes).  Maybe 3-4 weeks and you might be able to go topless too!

okay, not to be impatient, but I am 5 weeks PFC this Thursday and have a "hair" ha ha of a 5 o'clock shadow and that's it.  Brows are thinning beyond thin.  Eyelashes present and accounted for though no idea for how long.  Seriously, 5 weeks and nothing?  Doesn't seem right...does it?

I have blonde eyebrows - so if I lose them it is not like it will be a big deal as I have to color them in now Embarassed

Emma I noticed the same thing. When my hair was long i used to put my hair up in a towel then use a second towel to dry my body. Not quite there yet but i do need to towel off my hair or it drips on my neck a bit. I even notice that it goes under my jacket collar sometimes on the back.

Ok I have had a request from kathy to post my hair chart again. So here it goes.

I think this is the way my hair would have been pre chemo had I cut it short and not hi lited it until it was all blonde lol.  But it was always a little wavy.

and here are pics of me now
