An itchy scalp...feeling a little more on my head but it doesn't show...is this a good sign - or am I wishful thinking...3 weeks and 1 day pfc...am becoming obsessed...

patti13 -- I know what you mean about becoming obsessed. I am 4 weeks and 3 days PFC and my scalp has been itchy all week but I havent seen any growth yet. Every morning I get up and look in the mirror wishing to see hair,

MargieC - here's to hoping that itchy feeling means something good is going to happen soon!

I finished my last treatment 2 weeks ago and find myself in my magnifying make up mirror every morning and night looking at this fuzz on my head. It also seems to be colorless and what is sad is that I'm so excited to see it. I've even been on the internet looking for shampoos or some miracle treatment that will make it grow back faster, LOL!!!

Pumela, I was so glad to see your picture. My son gets married in July 2012, maybe I'll at least be able to look decent in the pictures!!! Your picture is very encouraging.
Thanks, Denise

Ok i kind of figured it out, this is 9 mo's out and i have had 3 trims, and i have colored it 2 times. The lighter part on top was were all the gray would be. I really don't know what to do with it as it is pretty wild. Has a mind of it's own.

Ha ha! Funny story. Just talking here at work about Halloween and I said I was going to go as GI Jane. Someone said, "are you gonna shave your head?" No sooner did he say that did he stop and remember. I guess I pull this wig thing off pretty well! Ha ha!

bcisnofun......hang in there! It is so hard to be patient! I didn't have much of anything but peach fuzz til 7-8pfc...I have pics on my cell.
I shaved my legs for the first time since April. I didn't think it was fair, if I have to shave my legs I should atleast have enough hair to brush!
I was supposed to get (first time ever) family pictures outside in October and now I don't want to.

thanks everyone - I'll try to be patient.
EmmaC I'm with you - my sister in law said to me a few weeks ago, you know we really need to get another family picture taken. I just looked at her. She stopped and said, you know...maybe we should wait. I told her yes, that's probably a better idea

LuvRVing- Congratulations on finishing chemo!!! Let the growth of the hair follicles begin!!!!!0
-
EmmaC-I know what you mean. Had to shave my legs and other areas, about a week before I saw substantial hair growth, but man is it appearing faster and faster everyday.
Actually I was thinking of having a picture made with my boys before all the hair comes back. Want them to look back at it as adults and think, yeah Mom had cancer, but life went on.

Mamav, love it! Love when I can laugh at hair stuff!0

I swear to God, I wake up everyday now to more hair-yeah. Very weird though.
BF was rubbing my leg last night and said "Babe you getting a rash on your leg?" I said "no, that's just leg hair", we both got a big laugh at that. Guess I need to shave again.
Have I mentioned that I can not wait to go topless?

Lastnight at running club one of the ladies said "you have a hair do!". I liked her perspective!

YAY survivor11!!!!!

That is great survivor11! I wish I could say the same. My hair seems to be stuck at between a quarter and a half inch. I think it's getting a little thicker too. Taking the dog (a Bichon) to the groomer at 10. I think she is going to have to shave him because he's matted. If that dog has his hair grow back quicker than mine, I am going to scream. He just better not.

ROFL, Kay!!!

Kay1963-that's funny. Shave that sucker to the skin, then I'm sure you'll win.

Hey LuvRVing. My last chemo was a day before you. Maybe we can compare our hair growth together.

You're on Mccrimmon! Here is my "today" picture - note that I am fortunate enough to have a head full of peach fuzz. And I am going out today au naturel! My DH cringes at the idea, but he's off playing golf so he doesn't get a vote. I'm going to the mall to walk around for a bit. It will be interesting to see the reaction/stares/sympathetic looks, whatever... Maybe we should all go bald for the month of October to bring real breast cancer awareness!

OK, McCrimmon, whatchagot for me???

Oh my gosh! You look fantastic! I'm on my last day of not feeling well so I'm staying in bed. No pictures of me today but I wish I could look as good as you right now! Have fun at the mall and I'll get myself together and post a pic tomorrow if I can figure out how. I've got the peach fuzz too.

LuvRVing, I like the way you think! I should do that and wear my "Fight Like a Girl" t-shirt!

I have armit hair. That was actually the one place I was hoping it wouldn't come back! My underarms have been itching like crazy the past 3 days. Took a good look in the mirror this morning before my shower, and sure enough, there's almost enough there on about half of each underarm to shave!
I guess that means, pay attention to the itch! Which also means I'm not looking forward to the nether-regions growing back in!
