ksmatthews, your hair looks great for 4 months. I will be 6 months pfc tomorrow and my length is very similar to yours.

    Kymn, wow!

ksmatthews - that's a great picture and your eyebrows are rocking!

In the past couple of days, I have noticed white hair under the arms and on the legs.  I guess it's time to start shaving again.

And I swear the week in Florida made my hair grow like crazy.  It's hard to see because it is so white and grey, but it seemed to be visibly growing every day...like grass in the springtime.  I even have sideburns!!!

I will spray it pink on Sunday for the Race for the Cure...I'm not walking because I'm having surgery on Wednesday.  Instead my daughter rented a motorized scooter so I can be there - we have a team of about 20.  Afterwards, I think I am going to try a little brunette wash-in hair color.

kym, you look ADORABLE with the short, blond hair.  i say keep it that way!

ksmatthews, your hair is adorable, too, and especially since you are only 4 months out.  YAY!

Kym you look amazing! Love the short blonde hair. Are you a natural blonde or did you dye it?

LuvRVing - wow 3.5 weeks.  Looking good.  I am 3 weeks today and don't have that much hair. I definitely do have stubble everywhere. The top is the thinnest.

I will inspect mine with a magnifying mirror tonight. lol

Kymn - super cute!  You actually have a style going on, girl!

ksmatthews - Also super cute!  You and I must be pretty close for PFC...I'll be 16 weeks PFC tomorrow, and my hair is about the same length as yours.  I can't do anything with it at this point, though...if I try to comb it, it makes its own little fauxhawk.  I plan on going in for a "trim" this week, probably...just will have the sideburns "femmed up" a little!

    LuvRVing - looking good!

Marjie - Very sweet...  There are some absolute ANGELS for caregivers out there...not all, which makes those like her even MORE special...  To be called a BABY had to be the bomb, too!

kymn and ksmatthews, you both look wonderful!!!!! Ditch the wig! I know, harder than it seems!

I am doing better at this short hair thing than I ever thought. I was always afraid of short hair. I am not one for regrets, but I wish I had more self confidence about my looks in the past, pre-cancer.

    Deniseday, Good luck Friday!!!!!

Kymn, did you use any special products to help make your hair grow faster.  I have purchased the Nioxin products, but just curious if there are other options.

ksmatthews--I went ahead and ditched the wig at work today.  I'm only working a half day, and then vacation for a week.  I am 15 wks. PFC, and went topless all weekend, for shopping and eating out.  So I took baby steps, and then decided what the heck.  My hair length is similar to yours, just a little spikier.  And yes, I could use some bangs.

    Love everyone's pictures!

ksmatthews definitely do the dinner without the wig...you look fabulous.

Kym  love the short blonde hair, your bangs are rocking.  the bangs on me are the slowest, but partially because they curl up and I cant get them to stay straight.  You will see a lot of models rocking that hairstyle on purpose!

BTW  I am 9 months from chemo and losing my eyelshes...AGAIN!

I am 5 years out from chemo, of course, lost my hair at that time, was totally bald (LOVED it!  Can you say:  NO SHAVING?????   :)))))    My hair grew in very very curly as most do, then it got real thin on tamoxifen...got a curly perm...went on Aromasin, hair is falling out and was getting thin and straight, NOW it's growing in CURLY just around the crown and bangs are whacked out curly and standing UP....this is weird S&*T!  (sorry)   LOL....so I just adapt to whatever's going on and certainly DO get the hair colored (it came in totally gray).   I am a brunette......naturally......   ;)

I don't use anything specific, just shampoo/conditioner for colored hair, and use a leave-in condition and DO NOT WIDE COMB my hair at all, just scrunch...as it'll fall out.  BEST to all~~~juli

Mccrimmon - using IE (won't work on Firefox or Chrome) I simply use the "copy" and "paste" function - click inside the picture, right click mouse, then select copy.  Click in the text box here, right click mouse, then select paste.  It will ask you if you want to allow the action, just accept it (twice, I think).  The picture must be hosted on the internet somewhere.  It won't work if your picture is on your computer's hard drive.

You can also try clicking on the little tree icon above the text box, then entering the URL of the picture.  Again, it must be someplace like Picasa or Shutterfly or one of the other many internet picture-hosting sites.  I find I have my best luck with the copy and paste function I mentioned above.

Just testing if I can post this pic, this is just me playing with my new phone - it's me in my wig.  Thank LuvRVing, now I just need the guts to post a bald pic of me up.

Ok, so here's my update at almost 5 months PFC. My hair is getting longer in the back and is becoming really wavy. Meanwhile, the top is not growing very fast but shows signs of also getting the same waves in it. The texture is weird-very coarse and wiry. I still call it something between a brillo pad and carpet:) Other than trimming around my ears myself I still haven't had enough to justify paying for a haircut. I'm not sure where it's going and I may keep it cut short because I don't know if I can handle the texture/waves (I had completely straight hair before). Anybody else getting the waves and swirls at this point? DH is finding it very amusing:)

Hi dragonfly, I am almost 5 months PFC and my hair looks just like yours.  I am getting the waves and swirls, too.  Still trying to get the nerve to go topless everywhere.

Morning ladies, thank you all for the loveley compliments. Yes I have some waves in my hair but I use a paste to keep them down, yes I did use nioxin in the beginning to help,I dont use it anymore.I do miss bangs but am thankfull for hair :). I keep the back short and keep trimming around the ears until the top starts to grow out more so I imagine I will be wearing it this short for sometime until the top catches up some. I also shave the neck area to keep it trimmed up nicely and try and make it look like I meant to do this lol. I did dye it blond too figured the only way to make it look like it was intentional was to make a bold statment am going in for another colour soon as my dark roots are getting a bit long although I dont mind having some dark roots it looks kinda cool .

Hope you all have a wonderful day

    Hugs Kymn

    Dragonfly,

Ditto on your hair.  Add some (lots) salt and you're me!! I do have a swirly do in the front.  My husband is also amused at my hair.  I've been topless for quite a while.  Reactions from people are priceless.  I've had women stare and men glance and look away.
