Welcome Newbies ...
Paula, I'm right there with you dear sister. I met with my RO yesterday as a follow up to my post treatment mammo and MRI. Boobs look good - no change in mammo and MRI looks better than pre-treatment ... BUT, the 'probably benign' spots they were talking about last week are in my liver. The MRI caught the top part of my liver and there are two spots on there. RO gave me the choice to watch it for 6 months, BS said no worries, but I decided to have another MRI of the liver next week. BC is the gift that keeps on giving! We are strong ladies and we will fight!!!! Honestly, I'm not so worried about me anymore ... I just don't my DH and kids to go through this again.
Scared again ...
Vicky
PS Going to see the BS again tomorrow ...

Saw my naturopath today and she agreed with my idea to go on a clense of sorts and has given me a dandelion mix tohelp speed along the process...has also given me a valerian sleep mix to take with the zopliclone to try and get me sleeping better...apparently i am now grinding my teeth..my dentist today was telling me if it continues I may need a root canal or crown....good lord!!! minor compared to everything else....or a wisdom tooth pulled...not a good thing as I hav a major gag reflex, especially lately....I am ready to get off this train....anyone want to join me in the bar car?!

I'm back from Vegas! Don't ask it stays in Vegas. LOL
Allenan, my achy feet, calves and leg pain comes from my chemo. My onc says no, but as I pointed out to him, he's never done chemo and I didn't have pain before chemo.
If I could just get rid of my hot flashes that would be great. 30 degress here in WA and I'm sweating. Arrrgh.
Paula, what have I missed? Hope things are ok?
Welcome to the new tammy passengers!

Welcome Anne, Snoopy, and sttheresa!
Paula, Vicky, have you in my prayers.
Maria, Jules, June, Sandee, Kay, and all the others - have a good evening, and may you sleep well.
Sandee, I got a bite guard from my dentist for night use because I grind my teeth. It has gotten much worse with my current drugs because they make my jaw sort of spasm constantly, so the guard may help prevent more damage.

hi ladies - I just read on a thread yesterday that in a cancer cure magazine or something like that from their onc's office that green tea interacts negatively with tamoxifen. counteracts it I think. Are you kidding me? I've given up most coffee, soda, fruit juice and had switched to iced and hot green tea! I give up trying to do the right thing!!!

Welcome to you new gals. Good Luck with the tammo. I did have aches and pains for awhile on it but they seem to have calmed down. The hot flashes now thats a different story, dont even get me started on that one, lol.
bcisnofun, I hear ya. Its seems like they are saying in one breath do this then in the next breath do that. I have almost gotten to the point of saying pi$$ on it all and just eat my dessert first because one day they will say that it really was ok to do that first. Oh and just to make it healthy I will make it a big ole piece of carrot cake, lol.
Bar Car let me at it. I need a few stiff drinks after the day I had. Man was it just a bugger. I was on edge for some reason and it wasnt a good one. I cant blame it on PMS since I havent had a period since Feb. so I will blame it on the hubby, lol. He has ruined my Christmas and that can be why. I know that I shouldnt be selfish and go to his families house but its not the same as going to my families. I wont even get to spend time with my church family and that upsets me too. Christmas day I will have to find a church down there to go to and so I guess thats ok, just would rather see my family at candle light service instead. His family wont be doing anything at all but sit around because they are all dudes and no kids so no celbrating what so ever. It'll be just another day to them, ugh! Ok enough whining!!
Vicky jumping in the pockets for ya gal!

MamaV that sucks about a spot on the liver. Glad you are having another MRI done and keep us posted.
Jules at least you can say you won in Vegas not many can say that!0 -
Just checking in - have a few free minutes. Saw my primary doctor today for my routine Cholesteral labs that I did on Saturday. My numbers went from 217 down to 178 - yeah! We had a hard time getting them below 200. Last visit, he told me to take 2 fish oil pills in the am and 2 more in the pm - guess it is working. My liver function test is still a bit high but lower than last time - I keep telling him it is the Tammo. All other tests were good. So now, I don't have to go back until March. I have been on an every 3 month schedule with him for the past 10 years - so this has nothing to do with the BC,
Hope everyone is having a good day. HUGS

Sherry so very true. However, i believe my husband lost the kids college fund. LOL
OMG I have had the hot flashes from hell today. When I see a line in any of the store I know they are going to start and sure enough they did. I'm sure he check out guy thought I'd taken something.
Then I ran into an old friend (and I use that term loosely). She said she had heard the news of my cancer spreading and would have called but didn't have time as she has been getting ready for Christmas. I told her the results came back negative but were still concerned. She said, just as well I didn't have time to call it would have been a waste calling. Then she told me she would pray for me. What does one say to that?
Is there a crash course out there for people to learn some sensitivity?
I'm heading to the bar now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jules

Jules - Sounds like you need to take that insensitive person and throw her in the bonfire. She had no intention of calling you period. You don't need her - with friends like that who needs enemies - LOL!

Jules people still make me wonder sometimes. I had a "friend like that". But in the end of it all I did find out who I really could call friends. These are the ones I choose to have in my life. I have come to realize that they are the ones I can count on when the going gets rough.
Ok I have tried several things to put me in the Christmas mood so I deceided to do some surfing and I knew just the gals who needed some to so enjoy

Paula - You have just written a new definition of "naughty" And he is awful "nice" Hope you have enough for everyone.

Jules... remember... dead wood!!! People are unreal. You do find out who your true friends are going through all this. I had a friend for 26 years my sons godmother my maid of honor etc..... havent spoken in over a year. The night i told her i had bc her comment was " oh another thing to deal with today, its been such a day" and she was crying and I had to comfort HER. The calls got less and less and then just stopped. I know who my real friends are now... hugs!
Jo so glad to see you popping in miss you
All my Tammy buds Junie Paula PaulM Sherry Odie MamaaV Shari Linda and anyone I may have missed ( unitentionally) hugs to you all!!!!!

Paula M- red wine is waiting for you!
Tink- yep...I definitely think the teeth grinding is connected to stress...and laying on my back too...when I wake up on my back, it usually means I am exhausted and probably snored...but the cat didn't complain so all is well!
Jo - good to see you posting again!
Jules.....two big glasses or red wine waiting for you....good grief....what ar people thinking when they say things like that?????? A waste of time calling you?
Paula66- Any way you can google the area you will be spending Christmas in so you can decide on a church service now? Go a bit early to meet a few people and stay for the receptino afterwards...I get the family Christmas thing...used to go to myex's for Christmas....18 of us in total and chaos...as opposed to quiet and no big deal at my family's place...I have gotten out of christmas since my parnter left but ladies, I put up a cool kind of tree this time....ribbon and lights and only my absolute favourite decorations...on a triangular plant cover-er-upper...an outdoor jobby....looks lovely in the corner inside too!

Last fall, following my surgery and pre-radiation, I met up with a friend for coffee and to see David Suzuki speak...She knew about the cancer and I had asked her to please go and have a mammogram. This was a few months beforehand...anyway we went for a walk before the lecture on climate change and I asked her again if she had gone for a mammogram..she has a 20 year old daughter...was waiting first to see if she got her Canadian citizenship and then if she was eligible medical insurance etc...and once it came into effect, she promised to go. I didn't hear from her after that...and I dobt she has gone.... but odd she didn't call through any of the radiation last winter or when she heard Ihad had a heart attack in March....saw me again on the walking path in August and said "Why haven't you called?"...well...it's been a busy kind of a fall, hmm?? But I felt sad that she hadn't gone....and hasn't for 5 years or so....too scared maybe?

Jules really some people need to get a grip.
Jo Tamo can screw with your liver. When I was having my multiple yeast infections back in the summer my gyno would not give me diflucan which she had always given me before and said the reason was because tamo is hard on the liver and so is diflucan so as long as I am on tamo she won't give me diflucan I have to use that nasty creme stuff, yuk.
I am excited we are having Christmas this Saturday and my DS and DIL from Seattle are coming in on Friday for a long weekend. We will have a big Christmas at my moms and then here at our house with my husbands parents. Our other son that lives an hour away will be here with his family as well. Then going to west Texas to see our other son and family for Christmas. He is a highway patrolman and gets no time off during the holidays and DIL is very pregnant with twins and can't travel.0
