The lounge has been busy today.....Its already 2012 for Chrissy, Bernie and all the east coast gals!!! Still 1 1/4 hours to go till 2012 in Colorado....DH is alseep on the sofa in his offie where we're watching the Carson Daly NYE show....before that we watched the Bourne Effect...DD has 3 gf over for her own NYE party....2 of the girls are spending the night, the other is going home at midnight....made veggie pesto pizza for dinner...plus DD wanted me to make crispex mix and rice krispie treats....the girls enjoyed a bottle of Merlot Grape Juice in wine glasses...they thought they were so special!!!! They are having fun in the family room......The girls are all in 7th and 8th grade!!! I will stay up till her one gf goes home...Enjoyed a couple glasses of Israeli Petite Shiraz....may still have another glass....the girls came into the office a bit ago....one of the girls goes....did you turn your garage into a hang out!!!! NO...DH office used to be our covered patio....it is now his "man cave"....it really doesn't look like an office...its got a sofa, 2 chairs, TV...and lots and lots of stereo equipment!!! Can I say when he works, he likes to be comfy!!! Then DD tells me that we can officially hate Justin Beiber because he was singing "Let it Be''and ruining the song...and then DD comments on what a good job Sir Paul does with it...now thats a girl after my heart!!! DS went to a NYE party, but will spend the night there...thank goodness he doesn't want to drink and drive....he was telling us all the places offering free rides, taxi's or even free towing home (AAA) to keep people from drinking and driving.......

Happy New Years Day! Yup the night has come and gone and aside from two cats and a dog who lost it while the fire works were going it passed quietly. Today has been a total relax in fact so much so the DH and I are still in pj's just hanging out watching a Two and a Half Men Marathon.

One time there was an army camp in India that just received a new commander. During the new commander's first inspection everything checked out except one thing. There was a camel tied to a tree on the edge of the camp.
The commander asked what it was for, one of the soldiers who had been stationed there for a while explained to him that the men sometimes get lonely since there were no woman there, so they have the camel.
The commander just let that go, but after a few weeks he was feeling very lonely so he ordered the men to bring the camel into his tent. The men did, and he went to work on it.

Oh shoot Beans, that is too funny about the baby oil. So sawry to be laughing, but I know you wanted us to! Glad you got it all out and that your DH is ok. You can use the baby oil as moisturizer for your skin. Leave your skin a bit wet/damp after you get out of the shower, put some oil in the palm of your hands and rub it on. You can also try putting it in a spritzer bottle.............and, you can use olive oil too. No bad magumbo in there. Love the buffet and your sock monkeys are poyfect. So sorry about your little lonely tree, that was left at the P.O. Is a cut one, or in dirt to be planted? Good idea from Kathy too.

Well, we had champagne to drink yesterday. We were going to have a weenie roast with champagne. Now, how's that for a party???? Well, I put the champagne in the freezer to get it nice and cold. DH decides he would rather have the champagne today with our steak dinner. Well I get up this morning, and realized I foygot to take de shampane out of de freezer! Big ole party and fireworks in my freezer last night! So guess what I am doing today?

Happy New Year Breasties! Looks like you all had quite the party at the HTL last night! Hate I missed it, but we were partying it up here. First guests arrived around 1:30 pm to watch end of game, then played cards for hours, while kids played outside. So many drinks, tons of good food. Last person left around 1:00 am, I think, as I passed out on couch. Woke up around 5:00 am, took two pain pills and 800 mg ibuprofen, drank lots of H2O, back to bed. Now laying here with good ol iPad, as DH snores at my side, lol. His birthday is today. DD went home with a friend, so think the plan is to stay in bed til about noon, then go get her. Going to start weight watchers online. Needing motivation, think that will help. Oh, and last night I took off my wig for good! HUGE step for me, as I hair is only about an inch long, and I am a long hair girl. Was taking pics at party, then played them back and thought my wig looked awful, so took it off for good! May wear occasional scarf or hat, but WTH, it will grow. This is going to be a much better year for all of us, I just know it. Will have a Miller Lite today to remember Junie. Cheers! To New Years!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS DAY AND ENTIRE YEAR TO ALL OF YOU! Lowwie I wondered why you were MIA last night...you wuz sleeping! OMG that is something my DH would do.....leave champagne or beer in the freezer. What a mess!!!! And a waste of good bubbly, too. Not envying what you have to do to clean that up! My DH always likes beer and bubbly soooo cold so not only keeps beer mugs and steins in the freezer, but will put beer in about 30 min b4 drinking it, same thing with champagne. I always worry about him forgetting it.....think he only did that once (when I didn't remind him)....and OMG yeah it was a mess just like you are facing. Love your toasting sock monkeys!

Hope you don't have a hangover today....that was some serious drinking! I think you drank for all of us, thank you!!!! I only had 2 glasses of bubbly, 1 at east coast midnight, and 1 at our central time midnight. Of course had regular happy hour much earlier! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you DH!!! My god, everyone all over the world is celebrating as he begins his birthday a second after midnight! Awesome.

Thanks Lori and Kathy. I had to take a couple Fukitols before actually removing wig, but it felt good. And Lori, hope that champagne didn't do any damage to that yummy container of ice cream, lol!! Good first morning of 2012 LadieZ.....
Sorry I missed yesterday at the HTL, but was super busy. First with the wine that is on its way back to Seattle due to some sort of SNAFU. The wine bar will send it out again. YAY!!! Then the most glorious ride followed by delivering a pudding to a friend. Back here to throw together two quiches....got in a bath while they were baking.....which I took to the wine bar.
The most fun time. Midnight was on the roof deck here with champagne.
I slept in.
Beans.....laughing, but one of the learnings when I was about 20 was THE MIRACLE OF HAIR CONDITIONER. My mother didn't believe in it. What a pleasure not to smell of vinegar, and how nice not to have tangles!!
I was viewing the Jacquie Lawson card and thinking of Lucy. Lucy is the puggle who hangs out at the wine bar. She was my true friend last night when I brought in warm quiche right out of the oven.
Allison....congrats on ditching the wig. I did that when I had micro locks, and as soon as I got some color on them. I looked great in the uber short look. Less so later on, but that is a case of waiting. Now, I am thrilled.
This has been the greatest holiday ever. Nothing extraordinary, but so special. I am looking forward to a great 2012, and wishing everyone the same.

Morn all...glad everyone is safe, mayb lil hungover, but safe. I ended up workin my arse off...didn't get home til 3am...ugh.
Allison...how bout a little motivation. I gonna post a pic my DD took on Thanksgiving of me her and my DS. I didn't realize she was going to give it to me for Xmas - 8x10 sized. At 1st I was mortified when I opened that gift. Like, wow, this pic is, like, forever! But ya know...I'm berry berry PROUD of that pic. I have a little more hair now and the bald areas are filling in, so I often don't even wear a hat. Never did the wig thing cuz I have them FREAKIN Hot Flashes n the sweat would jes roll down my face. Hated it! So wore hats so I cud jes rip it off. Picture me in the HTL with a cool, wet, bar towel over my head topped with a BB cap. Yea, real cute huh...LOL.

To all my darling ladies, finding you all has made me so happy. I cannot do negativity it makes me very sad lady. I love to love, laugh, eat, drink occasionally gamble and enjoy life so F*** the cancer card. If i can make even just one person smile everyday then isn't that what's life is all about. We might never all get to meet but knowing we are kindred spirits is enough. My friend (whom I haven't seen for twenty years) flew over from England for two days just so i wouldn't be on my own for New Year's Eve. True friendship never leaves us.
I would like to propose a toast to Junie, the lady in all of our hearts. A toast to Kathy (women of many names) for introducing me to you all. A toast to all the wonderful ladeez in da hotel. Not ever forgetting de tenders. Henceforth all to known as Bernie's Babes.

Its 2012...sure hope the year gets better than the 1st day has been!!!! or it might be a very long year!!! DH is quite upset with me....won't go into details....and time will tell how things will work out....
The girls had fun last night.....DD goes back to school on Wednesday so she is trying to get together with a couple good gf tomorrow or Tuesday....I go back to work on Tuesday.
We have a wedding open us this afternoon for a great guy (in his 70's) who lost his wife to the beast several years ago....he got married a week or so ago to a gal from St. Louis....they are going to divide their time between the two cities....couldn't be happier for him....
Not much happening today.....going to putter in the house.....Have a great day.....

I need to first comment on Bernie's post. HOW VERY SWEET for you to toast our dear Junie. I only wish you could have come to some of her parties, we had so much fun while her hubby was away. We had hat party's, lamp shade parties and theme less parties but we loved partying at de Junie house. Mese miss her a lot and it is always nice to hear someone mention her name. I tried to get to all of you goils last night via de Beanie UFO but seems that once I got to Bama, I was too dwunk to keep going. It was Stella's fault, she is the one that wanted Katrinka's snow blower. I am not sure what she planned on doing with it, she is a mess.
I have spend de day blowing up de chapel and I am exhausted. Really though, hate to admit it, I got up early and went back to bed and did not wake up until 3pm! Whoa, that was some nap. I had dreams of mets to my lungs and the dream went on and on and on. I was so thankful to finally wake up to realize it was just another cray dream.
Mema Sue, the family photo is awesome, and your step son, oh my, can you bring him to de lounge? I promise to keep Betty White away from him, she's a ho! Don't tail her me said that though.
