My hip or somewhere in that area is killing me tonight....not sure what I did....I won't start worrying unless it lasts....took 4 ibuprofen....
Denver got to 70 today.....but will be in the 40's by Saturday....only in the Colorado rockies does this happen....

tomorrow morning is cooking morning.....got all my grocery shopping done....Shabbat dinner is just DH, DD and me, so need to be sure to not make too much.....have chicken thighs and chicken wings in the freezer that I'll take out to cook....don't know if I'll bake them or put them on the gas grill....not sure what else I want to make...thinking more knishes......DH says we have lots of rum cake left in the fridge from last week.....I need to bake for some friends who just had a baby...they are having a special shabbat open house tomorrow night....then I'm making dinner for them for Monday.....

A fireman is at the station house working outside on the fire truck when he notices a little boy next door. The little boy is in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the side. He is wearing a fireman's hat and has the wagon tied to a dog.

The fireman walks over to take a closer look. "Little boy that sure is a nice fire truck!" the fireman says.

The fireman looks a little closer and notices the little boy has tied the dog to the wagon by its testicles. "Little boy", says the fireman, "I don't want to tell you how to run your fire truck, but if you were to tie that rope around the dog's neck I think you could go faster."

Good YAWN morning, Loungettes! Slept it a bit this morning, maybe because it was after midnight when I went to bed? Still dragging a bit, but got the first cup of coffee going and should wake up more soon.
Karen-dwunk speech is a bit hard to decipher sometimes, isn't it? I bet the Shabbat open house to greet the little one will be a lot of fun. So nice of you to make a meal for them!

Juliet-I remember working in the hospital on the night shift and having to go in for meetings in the middle of the day. Quite the pain in the anatomy, and frankly, I never remembered much of anything about those meetings. I'd wait until the minutes where posted, read them and then figure out what was going on.
I have decided that when I go in for a meeting that has been cancelled or rescheduled I'm going to claim the scheduled time AND the travel and mileage to and from the office. I don't see that as being any different from a doctor's office charging for a visit if you don't give 24 hours notice if you can't make it. If the powers that be decide that I need to check my work computer for e-mails and schedule changes, or check my work phone for messages every day the I'm going to put in for 2 hours of pay every day. That will put me into overtime just about every week, and I bet that will get attention AND it will create a record that I am making an effort to got to every staff meeting. If this was a once in a while thing I'd blow it off, but it's a regular occurrence, at least monthly and I'm sick of it.
OK, gonna get off the rant and rave thing now and go for a swim. I'm going to swim all the way to the swim up bar and check out MR. Big, and then order a big drink, who's joining me?

My DH was surprised this ayem that the squirrels took OFF the roof of the main bird feeder...well...duh....it is supposed to have a dowel in it which HE lost some time ago! He was surprised when I said "just measure it and we can get another one"....men....sometimes they just worry about the problem and not the solution! LOL.

Anyone still getting FRIED todey? I will try to play ketchup latah, but not sure if I can ketchup with you heavy dwinkers...LOL. Anyway, wanted to let you know yesterday my dad said the bleeding had stopped....he hasn't answered my query on how he is doing today. BUT I saw some tiger (blk/brownish-gold) print arm chairs similar to a pair my mom loves that she had shipped over to Hawaii when she remarried my dad. I had told her awhile ago they would look good here. SO asked her if she wanted a pair for the sunroom, since I knew she wanted to ship them back, but hasn't done it yet. And she did want me to order them. Times like this, I know she is thinking clearly!
