Hi all my Babes - me so happy today. Thinking of you all. Nice glass of rose at hand.
A man approached the window of a movie theater with a chicken on his shoulder and asked for two tickets.
"Who's the other ticket for?" the ticket girl asked.
"For my pet chicken." He said, pointing to the bird.
"I'm sorry," the girl tells him, "but we don't allow animals in the theater."
The man walked around the corner of the building, and stuffed the chicken into his pants. He returned to the ticket window and bought a ticket, entered the theater, and sat down.
The chicken started to get too hot, so the man, figuring it was okay because it was dark to unzipped his pants and let the chicken stick its head out.
The woman seated next to him looked down in horror. She nudged her friend Amanda and whispered, "Amanda! This man next to me just unzipped his pants!"
Amanda replied, "Oh, don't worry about it. Just ignore him. If you've seen one, you've seen them all."
The woman whispered back, "I know, I know, but this one's eating my popcorn!"

Too much to catch up on. Am home safe and sound, everything went fine, jus kinda long day. Was a bit bummed, no tin foil in initial pre-op, but when I got into the pre surgery area, I was the only one there, they put me in a corner next to a big rack of stuff and a whole bin of tin foil wrapped things. Had to smile and immediately had a virtual Miller Lite toast, thanks Junie!
Woo Hoo no more surgery $hit for me. Just taking Motrin, will get neurontin if needed. Tanks to all for getting small and being there. More later... Scuby Luv, Lisa0 -
Karen, you are so right, about not giving up certain things......'specially the WINE. Besides, red is supposed to be good for you!
Tidy, Mema had a good idea with the product she mentioned. I had never heard of it, but what the hey! I was just going to say something like mints, you know the red and white, round candies. Or the gum like Kymn mentioned. I use olive oil as well, in the shower before I get out. As far as the other areas.....ummmmm, if you are ER+ PR+, and will be on hormone blockers....well, get used to it! Also, I have a hair progression photo on my profile, but beware; I was NEVER as gorgeous as Kymn and MrsV. I just let mine get scraggly; I didn't want anything cut off! And so sawry about your fur baby, like you need more on your plate. And even worse, your boys saw it! Glad things are looking "up" for him, and I hope he continues to full healing.

Karen, wine IS good for you. The overall mortality rate for woman who drink red wine, despite having had BC, is lowered by dwinking de wine. Woman who dwink a few glasses of red wine per day, have a LOWER risk of heart disease which has a much higher mortality rate than BC. So dere, dwink up!

So more on me sagas....I know, dis supposed to bese a fun fred but mese habbing to vent a weee widdle bit. Foyst, uh, let me sober up. Den...... I say I am overwhelmed at the kind sweet words from all of you for my Mom and Dad. You are de bestest bwesties in de world. Momlo had her surgery and the doctor said all went well. It was about two hours long and she was resting comfortably went my Dad and sister left for the evening. They used some kind of concrete on her hip to rebuild it, crazy! Meanwhile, my Dad had a stress test done last week. His cardiologist spoke with him today and advised him that they suspect that he may have a corroded artery. His sister died from this at age 56 so they are quite concerned. He has an echo-cardiogram scheduled for next week and the doc also scheduled him for a cardiac cauterization 2/2. Me tinks me needs to move back to the ageing parents thread. And also dwink more! But I am doing fine, healing great, yay, finally.
Well mese is tired and habs to hailp de Stella with her home work. She is tired too. Dis new schedule is cwaaaaazy as hail. To all, dwink up, get dose titz up too. Peace, love and CheerS!

Biotin mouthwash and toothpaste are supposed to be good for dry mouth....also lemon hard candies...I chew sugarless gum....my mouth is not as dry since I stopped so many of my meds....I love Gold Bond hand creme...no smell to it and its not greasy....use it on my hands and legs and top of my feet......
Sorry about the doggie...but glad that he is doing better...
DorK...glad that your Mom's surgery went well...both my Dad and my MIL both had surgery for corroted (sp) artery....

Enjoying a glass of wine....need to buy another bottle if I want wine tomorrow night...but might not need to as I'm going to a wedding shower...hopefully there will be wine there.....I ordered a case on line and it arrives Friday.....
My week-end starts tomorrow...but I might have to do some work tomorrow....such is life!!!

Good morning, Loungettes! Another quick drop in before heading out for my appointment with my sinus surgeon.
Goldie-Yes, I plant in the spring, but I usually have to wait until June because the ground is too wet to work. Next fall I'm going to prep some parts of the garden for earlier spring planting-need to cover those areas so it doesn't get muddy. I'm also thinking of clearing out a spot next to the house that faces south that I can usually work earlier in the spring. Like I say, need to do some planning.
Tidy-praying for your Wally, that he continues to recover and will be ok soon! There are products you can use for dry mouth, Biotene I think is the name. It's a whole line of dry mouth products, mouthwash, toothpaste, a spray to use in between times. I'm sure someone will come on soon that is sure of the name of the line.
Kymn-take care in that cold! Love the mental pic of plugging in a truck!

Thank you everyone for the dry mouth tips! Been sooo uncomfortable. Went out yesterday and stocked up on all of your suggestions, seems to be helping.
Dorthy-My goodness Girl! You've got alot on your plate right now. I know it's hard to worry bout the ones you love. The pic of your Mom and Daddy is so sweet! I'm sorry that you all are going through this right now. Continued prayers for all of you.
Scuby-YAY!!!! So glad that you are all done with surgeries! Must be a great feeling. You rest up now and take good care of yourself.
Our Wally dog is up and "full of piss and vinegar" as my Grandpa used to say, lol. Thanks for all your kind thoughts for him and the boys. My 11 yr old spent that whole day (literally the whole day) praying over him, eyes closed and hands folded like when he was little. I think Wally's recovery renewed his faith a little, and with the world the way it is in Junior High now, that's a very good thing!
OK, gotta get myself going now-lab work this morning to check white blood count since starting Nuprigen instead of Nulasta. Hoping for good counts cause I really HATE those shots in my tummy!!!

Ahhhh, the (- minus) sign was not next to the number, it's on the line above and I did not see it! I knew it was cold there! That is pretty close to calculations in fahrenheit, comes out to -49 F. In Michigan, one year, the schools closed cuz it was too cold! Kids were getting frost bite when walking to school!

Hope you are all staying warm, especially you Kymn! Think it is cold out here, but haven't made it out of the recliner much since I got home. Feeling sore and congested (sneezing hurts!), hope I didn't get a cold yesterday. Am just staying put and laying low. Just taking prescription Motrin. DH worked from home today, has offered to do it again tomorrow depending on how I feel (not used to being catered to, not likely to make it a habit).

Good morning, Loungettes! I meant to get back on the boards yesterday afternoon, but I had to have the tube in my left ear replaced and the first thing I did when I got home was hit the Tylenol # 3, then I napped all afternoon. It amazes me how much something so little can ache! The pain is gone this morning, and I'm up early, so I get to indulge in a nice long post with my morning coffee!
Tidy-So happy for your little Wally, and even happier for DS's renewal of faith! You are so right about how hard it is to maintain faith in today's world, especially for a youngster.Karen-I really wish you could have the relief of tears. Praying for you! Since I cry over everything, and sometimes for no reason at all, can I do your crying for you for a while? Just until you can cry again.

Goldie-would you believe I have never had a Hot Toddy? Now that you've provided a wonderful recipe I'm going to have to try one soon! It's a bit frustrating to have such a short growing season and to have to wait for the ground to dry out some. If I work it too soon the mud sets up like concrete. BUT, I can set up some areas in the fall, cover with newspaper and tarps, and will be able to work that spot earlier in the season, but it's too late this year to do that now. BUT, I can extend next season in to the fall AND prep a spot for early spring next year! Hmm, wonder how well those things would work for keeping things warm for the seeds I start inside?

Princess Glitter Sizzle says today's DOTD is the Peppermint Chocolate Coffee:
1 tsp Creme de Menthe
1 shot Irish Cream
1 tsp Creme de Cacao
1 tbsp Chocolate Syrup
(Steamed) Milk
1 1/2 oz Whipping Cream
2 scoops EspressoDirections
Pour chocolate syrup, creme de menthe, creme de cacao and irish cream to an irish coffee cup. Add the espresso, and then the steamed milk. Stir well.0 -
Good Friday morning....NM....funny...when I read your comment about the shower, I was wondering when I was talking about taking a shower...and then oh yeah, the bridal shower last night....it was okay....no wine so at 9:30 went out and bought 1/2 bought of one of my favorite israeli red wine and enjoyed it before bed....
Today is cleaning and cooking day, so need to get busy.......been lazy these past two mornings and not gotten out of bed till 7:30.....DD leaves for school at 7:10 or 7:15 and I don't even get up for her!!!

My Mom and Dad are doing well as can be. Mom is berry berry funny. She really tinks that she had her knee replaced again and wese are rolling with it.Ya see, de knee bone is connected to de thigh bone, the thigh abone is connected to de hip bone. She is close. A good thing in that she must not be having too much pain. She has been transported to the rehab and enjoying her new friends. My sister told me that one of the nurses told her that she had pretty eyes and My Mom told the nurse, in a raised voice, "keep your eyes off my man". lol. She is too cute. Boy I have some entertaining stories. It does not hurt to laugh as there is nothing I can do to bring her back to complete reality. If she is happy, then I am happy. Mese just loves mese Mommy and meses Daddy. Me and Stella tanks ewe all agen for de prayers and kind words, me heart is warm, tanks to you goils.
