Husker, I am really sorry that you have all of this tough research to do. If it's any consolation, you are doing a great job.

Lovehertons, welcome to our lounge. Most of the men, well all of them, are our Tattie Tenders . The name of the lounge here is The Hot Tatties Lounge and we have Tattie Tenders instead of bar tenders. Are you interviewing for job? Just kidding, glad to know your wife is a trooper, we are all troopers here as well. Hope you enjoyed that Makers Mark.

Maybe I can hog the Tenders today. You had your share last night DorK. Hope you are up in time for work.

    WAKE UP

    Monkeying Around With You!

Here is another one you can research Husker

    BEAM ME UP SCOTTY

1/2 oz Kahlua1/2 oz Bailey's Irish Cream1/2 oz Banana Liqueur

    Layer all ingredients

Hey Lori, you gotta share, I am not too picky about who though! Am staying home from work again today, still feeling lousy from this stupid cold, so am following orders and laying low. Sad part is, I am not even antsy after being cooped up since Wednesday...

Beans, good to see ya! Husker, thanks for the research, it is tough work! DorKy and Karen, hope youse both have good Monkey Dayz!

Kathy, am thinking about you, hoping things are okay in HI...

Well, even though I haven't had one lately, BOTD is Well's Banana Bread Beer (seriously), brewed in the U.K., perfect for making Monkeyday seem less dreadful! Cheers! Lisa

Good morning, Loungettes! Nice and warm here this morning, 33 degrees and the sun isn't even up yet! Yeah! Long day yesterday, everyone wanted to be seen in the afternoon. Wound up making my last visit at 6 pm. If I'd known the day was going to go like that I'd have slept in and gone to church and then gone to work. Oh, well, so it goes.

    Scuby--glad the package was helpful!

Goldie--I've never seen the Blue Man Group but I would love to! Maybe next time I'm in Vegas I can catch them there. BOYS pick me up sounds good! I like that name! And the Birthday Girl drink will takes years off anyone's life! I'm going to have to order that sometime when I'm out and have a chauffeur to get me home, it would probably make me very, very silly!

DorK--Happy B-day to your Mom, even if she doesn't realize it. Memory loss is such a hard thing to see.

Karen--I've often wondered if the psychs and shrinks and such who tell us not to drink are totally abstinate themselves. There is a difference, after all, between enjoying a drink now and again and using drinking to avoid coping. I simply refuse to give up enjoying a drink now and again, or even more often if I want to just because the beast bit me or I take certain medications or I'm afraid the beast will come back. What's the point of being alive if you can't enjoy life? I simply will NOT give that much control of my life to the beast or fear of the beast. Oh, my, I've gotten up on my soapbox again, and so early in the morning, too!

Stanzie--Animals ARE amazing, aren't they? Sadie is rough and tumble with me, playing tug and fetch and so on, but the moment she gets near a baby she becomes the calmest, gentlest dog you can imagine. The same with small children, too, although she will sneak licks of popsicles if she gets any chance! If only I could read people as well as a dog can!

Beanie--The good thing about a virtual lounge is that you can take it everywhere with you! We're all thinking about you, and miss you when you are off working and living life. Drop in when you can!

Loverhtons--Welcome to the HTL! Sounds like your DW is having a great time, good for her, and good for you for supporting her! Showing my ignorance, here, what is Makers Mark? I'm guessing it's a whiskey?

Hjusker--Oh, my, what a hard job you have, and you are holding up under the stress soo well! I bet the hot chocolate and Kahlua combo was great, I can just imagine it now. Still not sure about Kahlua and coke, but I'm willing to taste it sometime. Keep up the good work!

Karen--I know what you mean about having a busy day and not having a handle on it. I always feel like I'm missing something on days like that. Hope the reading helps you relax. Annoying to have a pain and not be able to really describe where it is, isn't it?

    DorK--What do you say we make Lovehertons an honorary HTL Goil? Me thinks that would make things easier for everyone and Lover won't feel so different! It must be hard to not be able to really talk to your Mom {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Princess Glitter Sizzle says todays DOTD is the Happy Monkey Day

    1 oz Whipping Cream

    Directions

In Reaching His plane seat, a Man Is surprised to see a parrot strapped Into the seat next to HIM. Asks the man the stewardess for a cup of coffee and the parrot squawks, "And Why do not you get me a whiskey you bitch." The stewardess, flustered by the parrot's outburst, Bring back a whiskey for the parrot order inadvertently forgets the man's cup of coffee. As the man nicely points out the omission o f historical coffee to the stewardess, the parrot downs drink history and shouts, "And get me Another whiskey you slut." Visibly shaken, the stewardess Comes back with the parrot's goal whiskey still no coffee for the man. Happy monKEyDeY goils,

I am sailabrating my first monKEYdey back to work and oh boy, lots a good likker flowing around here. I tink I will start with a few Beam me up Scotties, then following with more Beam me up Scotties. Yum yum yum. Den I will chug down a few banana bread beers. I am not much of a beer goil but that sounds yummy too.And den me has to twy some Happy monKey dey dwinks. Oh mese, wese gonna be bombed dis ebening, yippy, I'll dwink to that.

Lori, you are funny offering Pat a job as one of our tenders. Me tinks if he wants to join us in the future, we should hire him his own tender or two. I was taken back for a minute seeing a boy in de lounge that was not one of our loyal soyvants but it is cool by me. Me tinks he should bwing his beautiful Di with him next time. Tanks for posting de dwink, de more, de maryier.

Scuby luv, I shirley hope you feel better and that stinking cold is leaving your house. Glad you are being a good goil, me and de Stella are pwoud of ya. Keep us posted on how you feel, hoping you start feeling gwate soonliest possible. Here is a hug for you. (((SCUBY DOOBY DO)))))

NM, I love when you get on your soapbox. It is always great to see your awesome posts. I liked the pic of the grand parents jumping outta de plane, de plane. I am glad your work weekend is all obber and that you can parTAY harTAY. And tank you for de sweet birthday wishes for me mommy. She is hanging in there but having a rough time with the PT, she can not comprehend the directions and is starting to get impatient.

Beanie, I agree with NM, it is always grate to see your lil purdy face pop in de lounge. Me misses you berry berry much. Can I send you a tender or two to hailp with all that work so you have time to parTAY? Gosh, dang work getting in de way again. I have a hug for you too, goil.

Kymn, I love that you had an "alright weekend", that is progress, goil. Glad you had some time with the kids and also some DY (dear you) time. And of course you will find love again or love will find you. You are so young and so berry beuatiful and will make a man berry happy. I know you are not looking for that right now but dese tings happen when we least expect dem to. Tanks for stopping in and sharing. Can you join me at de bar? It has been a widdle lonely in here lately.

I miss Wahine but me tink I jest saw her racing her raft in de swim up bar when de Pau Hana bell rang. I am here goil and will be happy to have happy hour with you.

Me tinks we need to plan a berry big parTAY. I am missing many of my goils. Unde', where you hiding? Mema, can you dwink me me, I just ordered ya some Jose, okey?

Tiedye, I am sawy but do not know if high WBC is a good ting but me tinks it is. If so, a big congrats to you. You WILL get true de treatment and feel better soon, dis I pwomise ya, sister.

So, many of you goils know that I am not the best appointment keeper. Sitting in work today, I hear dis weird sound and eberybody around was wondering what this noise was. I finally realized it was coming from my handbag. I opened my cell phone and there was nothing there, no missed calls, no texts. I was like "dat was weird but it wasn't my cell as that is not my ring tone". So dis happens a few minutes later and dis time me had de phone on my desk. I opened it and walaaa, it was a reminder, at 8:50 in the morning, that I had an appt with the hand surgeon at 9am. ooooops. So i called and told dem I messed up and asked if I really need to come in since my soygery was back in Oct and all is well. So I am discharged for life with this doc (hopefully). My point....set that reminder so long ago, using advise from my dear Chrissy B and freaking forgot that I had done it and apparently, set it without long enough of a reminder. I will go back to keeping all my appointments on my wall calendar at home and also enter them in my work outlook and set up proper reminders. BC has toyned me into such a dunce!! Mese is starting to tink that all dis dwinking weally does kill de brain cells.

Well mese gotta go and help de Stella study. She is studying her Beanglish and has a big test in de aye em. I be back later though. Someone, anyone, join me? I won't be but five minutes cuz de Stella is berry smart. And if she a good goil, I will bwing her to de lounge to parTAY.

    CheerZ my lovlies!!

Hi girls, let the drinking begin! It's been a busy week. Been doing more BC research (aka second guessing my doctors). And dealing with my car which needs things I can't begin to understand, boots coils, wires???. Then you have the over protective father working on a big project-making 2 security doors for my sliding door the likes of which Fort Knox has never seen. I'm his assistant, handing him tools that I can only hope are the ones he's asking for. And of course spending time w/the puppies. MEMA-They are part chihuahua and part short haired terrier, very cute. And in between all of that is my relaxing time, which i've been spending working on my rocks. Missed you all, missed the drinking! But you can't operate machinery while drinking-or so i'm told. Tonite is a white chocolate nite, O'reilly's if anyone's interested. Imported from Ireland but sold in minnesota. Anyone going to mn,i'm a little low? CHEERS!

Mema, as part of my past research I know that Sam's Club sells o'Reilly's or at least did last year. For some reason I still have my bottle, probably because I like Bailey's better LOL.

Drink update #3 (or is it 4?) baileys and Kahlua peppermint mocha is a good combo! Wish I had the banana liqueur for the DOTD, but this was fine just the two together. Mmmmm...

    I miss wahine as well.

A guy goes to pick up his date for the evening. She's not ready yet, so he has to sit in the living room with her parents.
He has a bad case of gas and really needs to releive some pressure.
Luckly, the family dog jumps up on the couch next to him. He decides that he can let a little fart out and if anyone notices they will think that the dog did it.
He farts, and the woman yells, "Spot, get down from there."
The guy thinks, "Great, they think the dog did it." He releases another fart, and the woman again yells for the dog to get down.
This goes on for a couple more farts. Finally the woman yells, "Dammit Spot, get down before he shits on you."

OMG, LMAO, and it's 6 am here, love it! It's been about a week since I checked in last, so way behind, like six pages or so. Couldn't sleep, been up for a couple hours, so thought I'd check in, have missed u girls!! Anyway, got to the John Boy pic that Dork posted, pointing to the mole, and had to stop right there and post. I about peed my pants! Then jumped on here, and Bernie has the joke above, OMG, I can't dtop laughing!! I will no longer stay away so long, the laughter is great medicine!

Tiedye, such a sweet story about your son praying over your little dog. What a dear son you have! And so glad the doggy is ok!

Huskeric, just PM me your city and state, and hair eye color. Anyone who wants to be added I will add, but only added those who PM'd me. Not everyone gave hair or eye color, so they are just blue eyed blondes, lol. If u look close, u will see I added a little red on top of scuby's brown hair, lol.

Memasue, my last chemo was August 22nd. Hair started coming back in October, so been growing for 4 months now. About an inch long now. Been taking 5,000 mg of Biotin daily. Going to buy a mini flat iron, cause my hair is too short for my big flat iron!

Lori, u beautiful girl, you look great in all of your hair pictures! I told u u are my hair rockstar! And I am not letting anyone cut mine either! No way! So styling changes weekly, lol! And u asked about my last surgery, I had a full hysterectomy. It was laparoscopic. Like Scuby, two small cuts lower and one through belly button, plus vaginal. Took it all out! Cervix, uterus, tubes, and ovaries!! All gone! It was six weeks yesterday, and called because still spotting. Dr. Is seeing me at 8:30 this am, so need to get up and get going! Also, not taking an estrogen blocker right now. Onc recommended Aromasin for five years, but I told her I wanted to wait until my hormone levels level out, which is about 8 weeks after surgery, then having my full hormone panel done. If estrogen is way low, not going to take the drug. Praying for a low number, as I get every side effect from every drug I take, plus create more!! And I have really been feeling great lately! So wish me luck!

Ok, gotta get up and get moving. Still have three pages to catch up on, so if I missed something important, I just haven't read it yet; just had to stop at the John Boy picture!!!

    Cheers Dears! Titz up!

Husker-You're right about that but I meant to clarify-It's the white chocolate that is so elusive. I find every other flavour in all the stores except that one. But for close to 30.00 you can buy Godiva's version. Which I just might do because if it tastes anything like their candy it will be worth it. Ok,4am and I guess I should get some sleep. Have to pick dad up in the morning. Tomorrow I think we're putting in the moat and piranhas. Kidding.....maybe.

Good morning, Loungettes! Nice and foggy here, most of the snow has melted now that it's back up to 46 degrees. Got up this morning thinking it was Wednesday, so glad to find out it's Tuesday and I don't have to leave home today. Gots stuff to do here, like final measurements for the sewing room closet! Got everything pulled out of there, now it's time to start building! Yeah!

    Bernie!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Mema--Mornin' t' ya!

DorK--good thing the HTL dwinkies don't cause hangovers! If your Mom is getting impatient then she must not be in much pain, and that's a good thing. PT is hard when there are memory problems, that's for sure. Sometimes it's hard WITHOUT memory problems! Hang in there, at least she's happy. I do the reminder thingy, too, with as many as I get remember to set up, but the best one is the one I print out a week at a time and post on the fridge! What would we do without reminders?

Mema--Sugar, Kandy and Skates have been looking for someone to take special care of--here's their chance! And welcome to Bella in 2 weeks! How much fun will it be to have siblings in the house!

Undy--looking forward to the puppy pics!

Karen--too bad you can't record Mischa and Bear and post it here for us to hear! I bet it's hilarious!

DorK--keep a hammock warm for me, I'll be along in a bit to catch a nap, too!

Undy--I have a friend in MN, I may have to get in touch with her and see if she can find and ship some O'reilly's white chocolate, sounds yummy! Is it legal to ship likker across state lines?

Husker--OK, now I have another excuse to go to Sam's club tomorrow! Some grocery stock up and to try to find some O'reilly's! I just love this thread. . . .

Mrs. Vino--can't stay away too long and keep up around here! I have trouble catching up just from weekends! On the other hand playing ketchup is a sure-fire way to have hours and hours of laughs and fun!

Undy--I've had Godiva white chocolate and it is absolutely fantastic!!!!!

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Here's to Our Parents:

1 oz Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur
    2 oz Absolut Vanilia Vodka
    1/2 oz Creme de Cacao
    2 oz Whipping Cream

    Directions
Shake ingredients in shaker full of ice. Pour into martini glass. If desired, garnish with dark chocolate curls or dark chocolate stick.

Kymn, I am certain you will find yourself in a relationship some day. Don't rush it, and don't jump on the first man that comes along. Well, you can jump him, but don't rush into a relationship!

Mema, I didn't think it was anything serious about the plant protectors, just wondering what the discussion was, thinking maybe I could help. I can't wait to try some myself. DorK and MrsV both have a Bella too! Glad Baxter will hab someone to pway wif. I thought that was you in the picture, then saw it was your GF.

That Banana Bread beer, wow......I would like to try that. Can't imagine banana and beer together!

DorK, Pat can have one the wenches wait on him, don't ya think? And yes, a great idea for him to bwing his wifey. Is your mom home yet, or still in the hospital. Sorry to hear she is having a time with PS. The poor dear, hoping her pain is minimal DorK. LMAO dear DorKiest.......your phone story, that is a classic! I too have to write everything down, or I foyget.

Karen, I bet those poochies could do some damage too, while playing around!

Unde, that is cute that your daddy wants you safe. What do you do with rocks? Wow, you are the party animal, just going to bed at 4 ayem! LOL, at the moat and piranhas!

Alli, I will have to go back and look at Scuby's hair. You know Kathy went red there, for a while too. Wishing you all the luck in the world, that you don't have to take more meds. Praying VERY VERY hard for that one. I may go in and have the rest of my innards taken out, they already took my uterus. I wonder how the rest comes out, since you mentioned 3 ways. Guess I will find out in a few months. Good to hear you are feeling GOOT!

NM, I see you were tinking like me, for de wenches to pamper our new visitor. Recording of Mischa and Bear..........heck how about a video? And now I am funcused on the O'reily's. Is it candy or likker? "Here's To Our Parents", sure glad we don't have any calories in our dwinks!

Since it's Twosday, we should have 2 dwinks. So I am gonna add one with the O'reilly's for Undy.

Undy, here is an online store where you can purchase your O'Reilly's White Chocolate, $10.99.
