Good luck with your squishes ladies. Tomorrow is 1 week out for me & they really are soft & comfy!!!
Now I waiting for that fluff & drop :-)0 -
Hi Everyone,
Had my exchange yesterday at 8am and was home by 12:30. My new squishees are GREAT!!! So SOFT!!! My PS did such an awesome job. He ended up going back through the same incisions and put in the Allergan style 20 450cc. He brought my cleavage in and they are totally well placed.
Whippetmom, You are awesome and the style 20, 450cc are wonderful. Thanks!!!!!
He also did some FG to my cleavage area and the tops of my breasts to soften the shelf. He took the fat from my love handle area. He told me NO bra for right now.
The exchange suregery pain is not even really pain. Just sore and I feel like I will stop the pain meds today. I am a little sore in my love handle area where he harvested the fat but no leaking or anyting like I have read happens after regular lipo. I can move my arms around just fine though I'm to take it easy.
This was a piece of cake compared to BMX!! I hope every one else does well with thier BMX and know tht when it comes time for your swap it is sooooooo easy compared to the MX

I had my first follow today after placing the tissue expander. The bandages Hurt so much.
Anyways, I'm still flat , the skin is stretched. So they start the first refill next week.
I wonder how long it will take for my flat boob to look like a proper one.
Also ladies, is there anything I can put on my skin to facilitate stretching ?
I asked my ps about my implant, it'd the Becker 35 . He said he chose that based on my other breast,0 -
Rubalou congratulations! I had my exchange yesterday too! I got the Natrelle style 20 and 600 cc's. I feel like they are too flat though. I wanted them to project out more. Do you think that will happen over time or will they actually get smaller? What is drop and fluff? Does this mean they will fluff up and out a bit more? I sure hope so because they look so flat. Oh well at least they are soft and I'm not in as much pain as with the BMX. Taking it easy though and following all instructions.0
-
Congrats to all the new excahnges today! yes you will get more projection when they drop and fluff. MOne looked very different after two months. Do not worry if they seem flat and kind of square now they will look way better as time goes on.

Back from my one week check up. I got the natrelle 20 600cc on the 17th. I also feel flat. Whippetmom had suggested the 700-7500cc. My PS said he wasn't able to use more than 600cc because of the pocket work he had to do. Can you get fat grafting after the exchange? I know I should just be happy they are soft now but some how I feel dissappointed. Next week he said we'll talk massaging.
Jaysmommy & rubalou- glad you joined the squishies club & are feeling well. Rest up & don't over do.
Redninrah- I used jergens lotion after every shower. You have to be completely healed first.0 -
I received my TE in November 2011 and my doctor says just let him know when I'm where I want to be. I have a hard time judging what I want to be. I would like to be a full C at the end of this process but have no idea how many cc's to get put into the TE. I am 5'8 and about 165 lbs. The only thing I know about my TE is they are AlloDerm 6 x 16 cm which are currently filled to 450cc My rib cage is 33 1/2, around my breast it is 38.5 , and above the breast is 36.5. Any suggestion on how much more I should fill.

Cherie- was u completely flat when the TE went in, after how many weeks, did it start looking like a boob? I'm so impatient lol

Jaysmommie,
I know what you mean about them looking flat but mine have already started loosening up and dropping down a little and they do look bigger already. I'm getting a tiny bit of ptosis underneath. So many of the wonderful women who came before us say they drop and fluff and to wait and it will be OK. I am having total confidence that that will happen.
They are AWESOMLY SOFT though aren't they. I am in awe of how soft!!!!! I am also loving it that they MOVE! I can't wait until I can put on a bra.

Rubalou: YAY! So happy for you and very happy that it all went well and you feel great! Please share details on what you need to wear and such. Do you need a button down top again and do you need a shelf cami? Let us know how the sleeping goes!! So what size cup are you now? I am doing style 20 as well Allergan and will be 280ccs, FEB 9!! WOOHOO..
Jaysmommy: Congrats to you too! Im sure they will fall into place and look GREAT! Im sure they feel great too! Did you need to wear button down top??
Redninrah: No worries, it will ge to wear you want soon enough.. Its not fun with the fill ups, but doable. My PS told me to wear a tank and see how I looked without a bra and if I was comfortable with that, then that was the size I would stay at. You will know... You will feel flat for a bit of time but after a few more fills, you will definatley feel better and see the difference. ALso, I used Lubriderm and Aqaufour after the stitches were out.
Tenaj: What size did you finalize with? Glad your doing well!!
So many exchanges, I am so looking forward to mine! Just began my lupron today.. nervous about the hotflashes to come!

Home from my TE exchange and am feeling pretty good with the help of some Viocodin and Valuim (to relax the muscles). Stayed overnight in the surgery center as I have had low blood pressure after the past surgeries (and did again last night). Am wearing a huge ace bandage with lots of padding which will come off on Thursday. There is enough padding under it that it looks as if he put the new implants (Mentor Medium Plus 600 cc) in the middle! It does hurt terribly on the underside of my upper arms. Not sure what that is about. My husband is waiting on me hand and foot and my new cozy pink robe is delightful
Thanks for all the help and support you've provided on this forum.

I need some help with questions when I go to the PS on Friday. I had my exchange on Jan. 7, so 17 days ago. For the first few days I felt immediate relief from the discomfort and pain with the TEs. But after that I have begun to feel much like I did with the TEs. Yes, the implants are soft and squishy...I love that. They are Allergan 20 400 ccs. But I feel the pressure and tightness just like the TEs. I also feel them with every move I make. I feel them around the tightness above and below the implants and when I lie on my back. My pec muscles are tight and that doesn't help. So is this temporary? And when I see my PS on Friday what should I ask him? I just want to feel relief and am not even that concerned about how they look at this point. I guess I was so hopeful that with this exchange I would feel so much better. Sorry to complain, and I am so happy for those who just had their exchanges. I hope you feel better each day.

Redninrah- they put 250cc in when they did the BMX. So when I woke up I already had a little boob. I am very impatient with this entire process.

Janhart-
I had the same experience after exchange... My pecs were T-I-G-H-T! Slowly things are improving but I still need to remember to do some stretching because those muscles still complain at times. I think things are still softening up because they are by no means squishy just yet. Some of us must need some extra time to ripen

Hi B123,
I am wearing button downs but I could pull a top over my head if I HAD to. Unlike the BMX where I couldn't have pulled anything over my head to save my life! I think the button downs are just a good idea 'cause it would be a bit harder to pull over a shirt and why go there.
I have allergan 20's 450 cc. Before the exchange I tried on bras and was a 34D or 36C. My new squishees look the same as my TE's as far as size goes. I had fat grafting done to softn the edges and enhance cleavage so my PS does not want me wearing a bra just yet. I'm looking forward to buying some PRETTY bras.
The implants are already loosening up and I can feel them bouncing around. AWESOME!!!! but not right now - hope he lets me have a bra when I go for post op on Friday.
My exchange was outpatient. My BFF took me and is staying with me for these first couple of days. Honestly though if I had to be alone it would be totally do-able. So much better than the BMX! All I really needed was loose fitting clothes with a button down to come home from surgery. I took a pillow with me to put between me and the seat belt. I've been wearing button down jammies yesterday and today.
The exchanges are SO much easier than the MX's. I don't think you really need to have anything 'prepaired' like with the MX. I stocked up on some Kashi steamers and stuff like that for meals. I don't have any drains and just took a shower. Ahhhhhhhh!

Rubalou,
So glad you are feeling so well. How did you get away without drains? I have one on each side until Friday? How do they decide if you get them or not?

TE Exchange yesterday and I don't have drains either. I'm not sure if it how extensive the surgery is or PS preference. My PS told me early on that I most likely would not have drains with the TE exchange surgery but that I would probably stay overnight. I have heard from others that without the drains, you may have more swelling. Not sure if that's true for me or not as the ace bandage is so tight, I don't think I can tell if there is swelling or not. They are softer but it really hurts when I move around. Am cushioning myself in with pillows and plan to take two Viocdan when I settle in to sleep tonight. My temp does seem to go up if I lie down (or recline would be a better description) for too long so have been doing my best to sit up with a pillow in my lap to cushion my arms. Seems to be working so far! Not lifting seemed to be the strongest dishcharge instructions from the nurses so I am being very careful about that. I am confident it will get better every day. Tomorrow, I'm going to my hairdresser to get my hair washed so that will feel good too. Thursday, I have my follow up appointment with the PS and the ace bandage will come off. Hooray!!!
redninrah - Early on, my PS repeatedly told me (beforehand and often more than once in a visit that the fills would go to "the path of least resistance". In otherwords, where the muscle was the weakest is where the fluid seemed to go so my breasts were very lumpy and odd shaped early on, especially on the left side where I had already had the lumpectomy. It wasn't until close to the end of my fills (around Thanksgiving) that they begin to have a breast-like shape. Because he kept reinforcing that point, I didn't really worry about it. On the other hand, I have a friend that had similar surgery just before mine and her PS had her wear a weighted bra to get them into the right shape. I was glad I had chosen my surgeon as they eventually looked just fine without wearing the uncomfortable bra.

Jaysmommie: I think it's a PS preference. My PS told me he rarely uses drains for the exchange surgery. I was happy about that. I hated those things when I had my MX. I know you will be glad when you get yours out!

Jaysmommie -- my PS didn't do drains either for exchange. My PS had me in a surgical bra the first 3 days after exchange and I have been in a soft sports bra and breast wrap ever since (exchange Jan 10).
Rubalou -- it is nice having the squishies isn't it

I have allergen style 45 extra high profile 460cc. I like them but I think I will love them once they move into the area of the pocket that was opened up during exchange. Right now I am fitting into a 36B/34C bra. Prior to BMX I was a 36A/34B. It is surprising how much better clothes fit with a little more breast
Mar/Apr my PS will be doing my fat grafting to fill in areas - I can't wait to see how they look after that. 0 -
Margie, Loving the squishees!!! My PS did FG at my exchange. It looks great now but a little swollen. I was just all bones on my chest after my BMX. I have nothing on my breasts except little bandages over the incisions and tegaderm covering everything so I can see what they look like. I think he doesn't want anything pressing on the FG areas.
I am wishing for some support. These new girls are heavy!! I was barely an A before surgery and now I think I'll be a C or D. They don't look as big as natural breasts in that size though. They look like a full B or small C They have losened up and really have movement. So different from the TE's.

So happy for all of you with your exchanges, so nice to read and see how everyone is doing and managing. It is interesting that each PS is so different but still with the same outcome!
Roubalou: Thanks, I will bring my button down, my BMX wrap from last time and a pillow for sure! Great advice, the seat belt kills my chest since the surgery so I cant even imagine this time around.
My PS never mentioned fat grafting, is that something they should be doing when having the exchange? Is that to make sure they are formed with a natural round look? When can you sleep on your stomach! I miss that so much!!!

HI Ladies,
So glad everyone is doing well. I woke up very sore this morning but now I feel a bit better. I have another question, where exactly do they put the FG? On the upper part of the chest/breast? MY PS hasn't talked to me at all about this. He did say that if I needed it he could lipo suction out fat from my midsection and put it in my chest. Is this the same thing?
0 -
B123,
I think it depends on your chest whether they do the FG at the exchange or not. There are a few others on here who've had FG. Lago and Whippetmom can you chime in on that one?
On me it was so obvious that I was going to need them and my PS seems to combine that with the other surgeries. I know he plans to do more if needed when I get my nips. He does it to cover ripples and soften the shelf where the implants meet the upper chest. I had no fat on my chest anyway and when they took out my breast tissue I just looked like bones with hamburger buns and skin stretched over it all. It's looking nice and full right now but I know some will not take and some of it's swelling.
I also think that it's easier to get the insurance I have to cover it with no problems when it's combined with the other proceedures. Plus it's one less surgery and anesthesia.
If your exchange goes like mine you will be very pleasantly suprised! This is definetly uncomfortable but NOTHING like the bmx was. This is my 3rd day - usually the worst for me (I've had alot of surgeries) I feel like I did 6 weeks out from my bmx

And did I mention they are so SOFT! LOL!!! As you can probably tell I am falling in love with them. They are like real live boobs and they totally feel like they are mine. Love, love, love!

Jaysmommy --- My PS will be doing my fat grafting with my nipple procedure - he prefers to do it then so he can see how the implants settle first. As we all know every PS has their own way of doing things.0

Hi everyone, I am scheduled for my exchange surgery on February 20th. I'm very excited and nervous. I am a single mom of an 11 month old and was blessed to have my best friend help me with every single thing for 3 weeks. This time around I maybe struggling to find enough help. I have someone to watch him the night of the surgery and maybe the next two nights. What are the restrictions on instructions for recovery?

Hi klynnz,
For me it is no lifting over 10 lbs, avoid pushing or pulling and strenuous activity for 2 weeks. I am allowed to move my arms however I want but just not go wild.
Hard to do with a baby :-( Is your little one walking yet?
The good news is the exchange surgery is MUCH easier than the MX. So sorry you are having to go through this with a little one.

Hi Klynnz,
I also have a weight restriction of 5 lbs and no lifting, straining or vigorous play for 3 weeks. I think you will definitely need help with your son for at least a week. Hopefully you can get friends or family to help you in shifts? The exchange isn't as painful but it's still surgery and you have stitches and possibly drains (I have two). It will be best for your healing to get some help for yourself and with your son the first week.

How soon can I drive after my exchange?
