Another quick pop-in before work. Yesterday was best described as NUTS. Started out overloaded with admissions only to find out during the course of the day that more than half of them weren't really supposed to be admitted on Sat or even this weekend! Talk about lack of communication!
Handwriting recognition is a function of the newer laptops. It's software that allows me to use a stylus that is much like a pen to write on the screen of the laptop and converts my handwriting to typed writing and puts that info in the selected box or spot. The more I use the handwriting function the better the software will understand my handwriting. It's very cool, I like it better than voice recognition, where the laptop converts what I say to typed words. That function is too easily confused by background noises, Sadie barks, the TV, etc. The handwriting recognition lets me use the laptop in tablet mode and not have to switch back and forth to traditional screen and keyboard mode. Very, very handy, will save me a lot of time once it gets 'trained' to my personal handwriting.

The weather has actually been good. Clear, breezy, cool (in the 30's), supposed to be the same today. Yesterday was absolutely beautiful when driving into the sun, the sun backlit all the trees and shrubs that had a 1/4 inch layer of ice all over them. Just enough breeze to knock off the ice once in a while so I would see an ice crystal shower with lots of rainbows! Should have taken my cameral with me yesterday, even though I haven't had much luck catching those pictures, but I can keep trying! Hmm, maybe I should dig out the old manual SLR, I could always get good picks with that one, heavy though it is!
I got my water walls Friday, they're bigger than I expected! I'm going to try them around some pots this spring for starting seeds and see how that works. I may not have to buy a see bed warmer that way! These are going to be a great, GREAT addition to my gardening supplies!
Time to get dressed and head in to work.

Good morning all! Beautiful sunny day here in Philly this a.m. Went to a partay last night, had a blast and slept til 7:30 this a.m., awesome!

UCRebel, yeah, we have completely redone 3 houses now, sold 2 and did well, even with market conditions. Our house at the beach in Delaware is a total redo, but that's for us, not to sell. Our place in Philly is in an old warehouse building and was only converted 7 years ago, so didn't have to do much other than swap out the electric cooktop for gas. The hardest part is trying to live in a house while it's in progress...

Thanks for the 'splanation NM. For me, I think I can type faster than I can write! But I had not heard of that. As for you photos, can you do a short movie and grab a screen shot from that? Of course you would have to be videoing at the right time as well! I love to catch a great photo, altho it does not happen very often! Did you get 11 plant protectors? I told them to give you an extra one.

Morning goils! OK, I did it again, been gone too long from the HTL, had to catch up. Let's see, was so far behind I've had a "Pop Rock Passion", "Estrogen Blocker", "Where is Everyone?", "Hairy eyeball Ale", "Dirty Dog", and topping those off with a "Yards Philly pale ale". Sheesh! Goldie, folliculitis?? WTH?? And Mema had a picture. You girls are so smart! My head itched like crazy too, but I had no idea it could have turned into that! Crazy shit that comes with Stupid Rat Bastard! And you listed all the types of BC that BCO has descriptions of, guess what, mine is so rare, it's not on the list!! Mucinous Carcinoma. VERY rare, women who get it are usually in their 60's, and it rarely, IF EVER goes to the nodes. Well guess what, I was 38 when diagnosed with it, it had went to 2 of the 12 nodes removed! And I had just had a mammogram 4 mos. prior, and a benign cyst asperated at that time. Turns out my rare rat bastard hides in mammograms. Only cause I could feel it and so could they that they did two different ultrasounds. That's why I chose a double. Also why I chose complete hysterectomy. I said to hell with statistics, take the shit off and out!! lol.
Scuby, the shark tattoo sounds cool, specially since u have such a talented tattoo artist doing it! And when you got your pedicure yesterday, hope it wasn't from one of those places where you also get a fortune cookie too. Were you able to have a conversation with your nail tech? Just askin, you gotta be soooo careful where you go. Don't want somethin that looks like that folliculitis crawlin up your leg....
Tiedye, so glad you are here in the HTL! So much good info, that our Docs seem to not tell us! As far as nipples, I'm having mine done Wednesday. Wahine gave me this website ashevillepermanentmakeupclinic.com ; the tattoo artist does them for free for BC survivors. She even does 3D nips, so you don't have to do the surgical nipple. It's flat, but looks like it's not, amazing! My PS does the nips and tattoos, so I printed off pictures from the website of what I did and didn't want. I took the pictures to him, and he told me in all his years of doing this, I was the first person to bring him pictures of what I want! I couldn't believe it! I mean, how does he know when I say what I want what is in my head?? He said he could do exactly what the pic looked like, and told me to bring the pictures to my appointment. Wish me luck, lol.

OK, gotta go get ready for church. Can't remember last time we went, pretty bad. Aubrey had a friend sleep over last night, and we went to the boat show. Her friend is so sweet, and they are very religious. Well, course I had beers at the boat show, which she commented on. I said I wasn't driving, and I am an adult, so she din't say anymore. Well, on the way home, Ray and I were having a pretty intense conversation about his father, who is in the hospital. Aubrey starts interrupting asking a silly question about a snack she wants when we get home, so I ignore her and keep talking to Ray as she has a bad habit of rudely interrupting. Well, she keeps on and on and on, and finally I blow up on her! Remember, DH and my conversation was already intense, and my hormones don't know WTH is going on after my hysterectomy, so yes, I really blew a gasket. We got home and I got out of the truck and slammed the door. Ray comes upstairs and tells me that when the girls got out of the truck, Rachel looked at him and said "Mr. Frye, I have never in my life heard so many bad words in one sentence!" LOL. Wonder if Rachel will ever be able to come back, as I'm sure she'll be reporting to her parents, lol.

Hey ScubZ, hope I dint bump ya too hard, mese knows ur still sore! Have fun at the opening, lots of German food and beer, I'm jealous! Our house is a total redo. It is a manufactured home, as we couldn't get anyone to come out where we live, to build and at the time, my DH rhumatoid arthritis was causing him too much pain for him to do it. We totally gutted it, right to the studs. All new windows, roof, new sub floor, plumbing, electric, EVERYTHING! Turned a 5 bedroom, 3 bath home into a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. Took us 18 months as we could only work on it on weekends. I enjoyed it, but a lot of work, not sure I would want to do it again.

NM, sorry you had such a wild and crazy work day and hope today is quiet. It is nice to see you in the lounge on the weekend, yippee. That handwriting recognition thing is really neat. I doubt it would work for me as my writing has gotten so bad over the years from writing very fast. There are times when I can not read my own writing, I think I would do better with voice recognition. On a side note, I entertain myself when speaking voice commands at work, I use silly accents and different voices. The people around me *think* I am nuts. Anyway, keep up the great work. And give your dear Sadie a kiss on the head from me.

Unde'Shan, it took me quite a while to get a grip on posting photos. I remember well getting very frustrated with it. The girls were quite patient in working with me. Should you decide to start property flipping, be cautious that you do not buy in a declining market area. An "over improved" home will not be approved for a mortgage. I often see people pouring their hearts into rebabbing homes in bad neighborhoods, then trying to refinance them. If true comparables can not be found, the loan is declined. Of course this is non applicable if you find cash buyers.

Well DH is here and I must get with him. He has been sort of depressed lately. Anyone who knows him knows that he is usually very upbeat. He went through a health scare and has seemed down since. I know what will make him feel better though. DD has gone back to her apartment in the sky and Stella just got on the bus en route to AZ. So it is just the two of us today. I will leave it at that since this is a drinking thread.

Hi Dollinks! I gots a lot on me mind, (er, what's left of me mind) today. Junie always said she loved coming here because of how much we share...even when I'm in not at the lounge I see so many things that we goylies have shared here, like the foil balls, that bring joy to meese, really lights up my life so much. Well yesterday my DH and I stopped in a grocery story and we're shopping and all, an of course there is grocery store music playing. Then I start feeling all happy and smiling and then I realize the music is something I recognize. Then I realize it's the music from Goldie's HTL You Tube Video, a country tune, la la la, I love that bar!!!! It just was so fun to hear the song and think of the video and all you HTL Hotties! Mema - From a while back, I don't get any tx for my bones, but was told to take calcium. For sleep I still have some ativan from my chemo days and I take ½ tab once or twice a week so to get dat good nite sleep at least every so often...dats a great idea. I hate takin pills too, so now just have tamox and vitamins and ativan occasionally to sleep.

Dey grow like crazy, but burn out by harvest time. Gonna try some maters u friend suggested for our temps, see how it goes.

Drink update #4 (or is it #5?) Kahlua Peppermint Mocha with Bailey's. Now there's a drink!
Took little furbaby Gracie Lu outside early, in the dark, and slipped on the wet rocks onto my hands and knees. ACK. Luckily Gracie didn't get away. I was in my pajamas and coat and scarf and pink rubber Crocs. Geez, looked like a baglady, minus the shopping cart. Luckily no one saw me. Cut up my hand and then got freaked about aggrevating the LE. I cleaned it up right away so hopefully it's fine. Will probably need another week of physical therapy though! Going to my second Zumba class tomorrow. It was fun and I made it through without having to sit out! I do however, need to wear a sports bra next time. Too much bouncing-haha!

SCUBY-I know what that's like,when we bought our house we found there was nothing that could be saved. Everything was avacado green,toilet,tub,kitchen counter,stove oven,vent etc. I know it was the 70's but how could that have ever been cool??? There's nothing quite like washing your hands over a bucket w/the faucet meant for the washing machine. Or sprinting across to my mom's house to take showers when it's 40 degrees out. But as crazy as it sounds i'm addicted to renovating and selling. ALLISON-If you want Bino he's all yours,will be headed out that way in late spring/early summer anyway,lol. DORK-Why isn't there a "Posting pics for dummies" book out there for us? Thanx for the tip about the flipping. I am always checking good,clean,safe neighborhoods w/the money to keep up during bad times. The money isn't there w/bad areas,too much trouble. I almost bought a great condo in Vegas-until I saw the surrounding area. It really is true what they say about location. BEANS-Thanx for the offer,I have to finish school first so it will be awhile. Looks interesting,especially the different rooms. I noticed there's a civil war room-I am fascinated by the civil war. Will have to stay there one of these days.
