Linda no these are not the first, the twins make 6 for us and our oldest sons girlfriend has 3 children.

Thanks all I'm excited but can't wait to see them in person.  Hopefully it will work out for us to go and see them this weekend. They live 4 1/2 hours from us.

Shery do they call you grandma or something more trendy these days?  My mom has always love that her grandbabies call her granny.  I know she is older now an it fits, but when she started have grandbabies she was way younger.

Both of my sissies are getting ready to be grannies.  Both of there kids are going to have them around the same time.  My heart is breaking for my older sissy cause she is so sad about it.  I understand that the baby daddy isnt the right choice, and I get all of how she feels.  I told her we are a big family and will help raise this baby just like we did with my nephew.  I am so ready for new babies in our family so this is going to be nice.  Im ready to be a great auntie.  It just seems like yesterday they were all playing basketball at my moms.  Where did those little ones go?  Ugh Im getting old!

Paula they call me MiMi.  I just could not do granny or grandma.  I was way young.  Our youngest son was 3 when my oldest GD was born so he picked out our names.  He decided I could me Mimi and my husband Pops.  When we asked him about names like granny or grandma and grandpa he thought they were funny and just giggled.  I have a good friend who's grandkids call her MIA.  I like that one as well.

I went for my hysterosonography yesterday and in addition to the two cysts on my ovary (which I have named Cissy and Chrissy) I have a polyp on the lining of the uterus.  I have named the polyp Penny.  Sooo..Penny the Polyp needs to be removed before she starts causing more problems so I will be having a D&C in the next few weeks.  Cissy and Chrissy the Cysts will be re-checked in April and if they are still there, they will more than likely be coming out too.  Good grief...does this ever end???!!!Yell

Sandee, glad to hear your machine is working for you!  Somehow I have misplaced the power supply for mine to plug it into the outlet.  Wish I could find it - might help with the DH/TV issue - he loves those action shows and the noise from them just doesn't help me sleep at all!  I don't want to complain too much as he has been such an amazing support through this whole thing.

Deb - I know the feeling - hoping I finally found a medication to take care of my nerve damage.  It seems if it is not one thing it is another.

Had a PS appt today.  I have decided that I am tired of looking at my deformed breast after lumpectomy 17 months ago.  My BC was on the left side and even though I still have the nipple, the entire bottom part of the breast is gone.  All that remains is a scar and a hugh dimple.  PS said the best option I have is a lattissimus dorsi flap.  I am shooting for the end of April - my job is way too busy right now.  I will see my primary doc the middle of Mar and get my surgical clearance done and then call the PS 4 weeks before I want this done and get on the schedule.  I really like this PS - he made me feel really comfortable and answered all my questions and then some.

It has been so crazy at work that I forgot to tell you guys before - so guess what?  I missed having a pocket party.  Oh well, that is my fault.  I know each and every one of you were with me in spirit.

    Love you gals.

Oh dang Jo I woulda went on a man hunt for ya, lol!  I know its a sacriface for me to have all the man candy to look through, but it is well worth it for my sistas!

Ok I know we are all big girls around here so Im gonna freak a few, but that not my intent.  I just can see calling the doc over something like this.  I know my Tammo sistas culd help me better anyways.  I know that hair loss is one of the SE that comes along with the Tammo.  I was bald from chemo, but it grew back as think as it was, so has the pit hairs, ugh.  Well heres the deal.  I noticed the hair on my legs are thining out.  I went to wash my fur pie and gobs of hair can out like it was now problem.  Im courious if some of you gals have had that happen

Paula, how long have you been on tamoxifen?  Hair loss could come from that, but also it seems that hair loss increases at certain times of the year and with stress and changes in nutrition.  Easy to blame the tammi, but there are lots of other things, too.  Keep us posted and I will keep my eyes out for any good articles on this.

Paula - Dang it all!  I did have hair thinning from the Tammo but only on the head.  Did not do chemo so I can't help there.  Have not seen hair loss anywhere else although the radiated pit occassionally gets peach fuzz and the other pit does not seem to grow much.  I did start taking Biotin and that has helped tremendously with the hair growing back.  But, like Linda said, some of it could be due to stress or other changes.  Have to talked to your MO about this?  Please keep us posted.  Oh!  The weekend is fast approaching - what kind of "eye candy" are you going to share with us?  LOL

Paula I have had thinning hair on my head. The biotin seems to have helped my head but the other is about the same. Very thin, not getting worse but not getting thicker either. I have also noticed the hair on my legs have thinned out as well which is OK because I always had very thick hairy legs. I did not do chemo so I know it is from the tammi.

Paula I love the reference fur pie....LMAO  I have not had any problems down there but my hair on head is looking horrible for the last 6 months or so and I always seem to be having a bad hair day.  I know if I was consistent on biotin my hair and nails might look better but for some reason I am so sick of popping pills that I haven't been doing it much......I know it is so bad of me, but it is what it is....

As for Mom, I feel like she is doing everything she can to hang on and fight.  Her xrays has shown improvement for the pneumonia so I hope this is good news and she will be around for a lot longer.  They said she is still now out of the woods, but are now hopeful, so its a watch and see.  Thank you all for being there to support me during this difficult time.  Love you all so much!

Hey Paula....yes a little thinning everywhere. 8 have been using biotin for several months and finally 2 weeks ago when I was getting my haircut she said the hair in front where it was thinning the most was filling in. I was thrilled to hear that..it takes awhile but does work.

Junie... so glad to hear there is improvement with your mom.... will continue to pray.

Taking my DD for repeat bloodwork today and ultrasound of spleen on Monday. She has had 2 full schools day so far this week so that is an improvement.

    Love you wonderful ladies

JUne sounds like your mom is fighting to hang around a bit more.

I have had a worrisome week.  Twins born on Monday and they thought one of them was having an infection.  Anyway they finally gave her a clean bill of health this morning and they were all discharged from the hospital a little while ago.  Spoke to DIL and they want us to wait until next weekend to come as they have lots of company right now and they live a little town where there is no hotel.  If we went we would have to stay with friends 30 miles away.  So we will wait until next weekend and then we can stay with them and help out. I can't wait to hold my grandbabies.
