DorK.....some of the foothills west of Denver got hammered with snow......we got at least 15" by my house....maybe 18" but its already starting to melt......took Mischa for a walk as the sun was going down and it was getting icey.....told DH when he got home from synagogue, no walks tonight...want to stay in one piece!!!!
Last night before Shabbat dinner, I asked DH and DD if they knew what today was....and DH said yes, when I asked the question it reminded him......he gave me a hug....and DD said, yes, I made you a card and took the card (actually picture) off the wall that she made last year....she colored notebook paper and wrote "wishing you love on the anniversary of the most dreadful news".....since there is not date on it, the card is appropriate every year....and of course its back up on the wall.....its by the water cooler in the kitchen for all to see when they come in the kitchen....

DD has a friend over to spend the night...will take the girls sledding tomorrow....and I'll actually sled with them or stay....DD and I will have to share her sled.....and might take Mischa too.....
Time to figure out what I want for dinner......take something for my sinuses and uncork a bottle of wine!!!

Mema-So sorry bout your sister, even if not close, dealing with the rest of the family is alot for you. I'm thinking of you. I'm a groomer-talk, talk, talk to your next or prospective new groomer, let them know that Bax has had trouble with those little paw pads and that they need extra attention. Those mats between toes/pad really hurt and they get infected so easily, poor guy, hope he's doing better. I will cyber groom him and he will look soo amazing!!! LOL

STELLA-In my house we have SEVERAL fairies (none as pretty as you), my boys and boyfriend and I have all grown to love and depend on them. I will tell you girls all about them some day soon. Maybe you can come and play with them some day!
I start Taxotere on Monday. Could use some good thoughts from you girls. Feel like I'm teetering on being depressed, but really trying to fight it. I really HATE taking medicine and am trying so hard to avoid the antidepressants-plus they don't want ya to drink when you take those things, lol. Four treatments (one every two weeks), then onto the surgery. Go back and forth between wanting to get trtmnt over with so I can get to surgery, and being really scared of surgery and not in a hurry.

TIDES-I was a surgery virgin until my BMX. And I DO NOT like taking pills either. But you know you have to suck it up and do what you have to do. The PS I wanted is out of the question so now I chose one closer to home. And that means I could have surgery much sooner. I HATE surgeries but I want the girls back asap and the rat b**tard to be a distant memory. I have a cross country trip to take so I want this stuff over with. Once you're done you can start living. I'm waaaay ahead of you on the drinks-not virtually either. I have a little case of the fukitols since yesterday. Let's down some virtual pills and real likker!

That didn't come out right, lol...............I still have my original girls! NEVER been happy with them, and especially not since having the four babies and breastfeeding, they sag halfway to my belly button....UGH!!! ONLY HERE WOULD I ADMIT THAT!!! LOL Have always wanted to have some corrective surgery done, just wasn't planning to do it like this, AND was planning to keep the feeling and sensitivity!!! YIKES!

Surgery virgin, too funny. The only surgery I ever had was for a broken nose in college (playing lacrosse), now have had 4 in 6months...

Wahine, thanks for the awesome ideas, I started a notebook for all of them. That is a green moray eel (one of my favorite things to see), the red flag is a diver down flag, they fly it from the boat so that other boats don't get to close and keep an eye out for divers surfacing in the area. Am thinking more and more of non-symmetrical image that ties 2 foobs together. If I fished, the boat and marlin idea rocks. My friend has already told me he would do it for free, would only take money if it came
from insurance company.

TIDES-I couldn't be happier w/the the idea of getting new boobs. I could have done w/out the BC part but hey it's the boob job i've always dreamt of! The girls in my fam got jipped,we're tall,thin but we didn't get any boobs. Hmmm,how many times can I say boobs tonite? You'll feel better once you see what a PS can do for you. So many girls love their new...boobs(that's 5) more than the old ones. SCUBY-You girls will have your hands full w/us and these surgeries. Good thing Tides and I are both in Cali,you can just keep the bus parked here for awhile,lol. Dig your tattoo but wondering have yours lost color over the yrs? I looked in the mirror and it looks like mine faded big time. GOLDIE-Dork's peeps sure look scary,that's good. I need to shake Kaiser up a bit. Zone restriction bs-and that doesn't stand for breast surgeon. But i'm still bringing Stella along to my surgery. Karen, have fun sledding. I hope you give it a try. Take pictures! Maybe your DH and DD didn't remember because it's something they don't want to remember? Just a thought. I think everyone deals with those things differently, whether it is the person that had cancer or the family. I know for me, it is NOT something I celebrate. I just know I was diagnose in April of 08. And just glad to add another year of being a survivor. Sweet of you cyber groom Baxter.

Good Sunday Morning to you ladies!!
Gotta share this with you: Was up too late and drinking to much (for real) last night, mulling over all this BC nonsense, feeling pretty down and frusturated. Planned to sleep in as all the guys in my house are out fishing and I've got nothing I "have" to do today. For some reason I just couldn't sleep, even though I was up late. Woke at 4:30 a.m. feeling like things "just weren't right", no fear or anxiety.......just restless. What to do? Enter the lounge at 5:00 a.m. what else? LOL
Anyway-when I got here, there was the most encouraging and inspiring PM from Undy! I really believe that the reason I couldn't sleep is because I needed to read what she had written!!! Moral of this story: NEVER underestimate the power you have to touch someone's life!
Wake up and play girls!! It's the weekend, let's party in the lounge while the guys watch football!!

Morning ladies! Been MIA since weds night. Have been fighting a cold, and the cold finally won. Laying in bed now with my iPad. Was contemplating starting antibiotic I have, but will take the advice given to DorK and go make a hot tea, pop some lortab (Tylenol with a kicker) and get back in bed. Will call Dr. In am if still not feeling well.
I was about four pages behind, so let's see what I remember. Lori told on Stella, that was so funny. And Lori, your step daughter is pretty, but your real daughter is gorgeous!! Corse, she came outta you, so there ya go! And I will get the map pic sent later today.

Tiedye, starting Taxotere tomorrow means starting steroids today, right? Hang in there, you are doing great! Have you already picked a PS? Make sure you get lots of references! And see lots of before/after pics! The nipple part was crazy. Surgery was an hour and a half. I chose to be awake for it, as I didn't want to be put to sleep a sixth time, but laying there while you are being cut on and sewn up is very weird! Crazy! Get the first set of stitches out next Friday.

UCRebel, hope you bwoke the TV effectively. Glad you are getting some time with your Dad. My tattoos are all on my back (the moray is on my spine), I am pretty fair, so good about sunscreen etc, so they have held color well. Lori, you know, my friend the tattoo artist and I talked about it, I didn't want to put him on the spot. But he's a pro, if I am getting anything done, I would only let him do it. Especially if I do something diving and water related, he shares the same passion for diving that I have and always comes up with awesome designs. He has been tattooing for 20 yrs. Stay tuned, trying not to obsess since I gotta wait a while longer.

They call it reflux for the same reason it is reflux in your esophagus...the valves don't close up right. In your leg, your veins have valves that are supposed to close as they bring blood down your leg, to your feet. Well, when they don't close, that causes pooling, swelling, vari veins,etc. There are 2 or 3 main valves down ea side, and mine just don't work right. LOL, I was wondering if anyone would catch what I wrote, and YOU did....very observant! I wouldn't feel funny to have a male friend "work" on my boobs (tatts, girls!), as when you go through mast, the sensation is gone, and then with the implants added too, and no nipples, it really does not feel the same as the original boobs felt. I do not feel embarrased for someone to see them. When I went to the ER after Junie passed, and they took me by ambulance, as I got into on the ER bed, a nurse started pulling my shirt off....thought I would have a bra on, then she felt bad as she thought I would be embarrased that she showed my boobs. But I wasn't, since they don't have that personal feel anymore....almost like an arm or leg, not really, but ya get the picture. So I think Scoobs would feel ok letting her friend do her tatts. Love the cupcakes!!! And dwinks!!!

Unde, I felt like you do. I am older than you, and hated my sagging boobs. SO I guess thats why I was excited as I went in for my bilat mast/TE recon. I KNEW they would look better. And yes, you lose the feelings (sob, sob), but I am ok with that now. Was weird first, to have something numb as part of your body. Main thing is when working outside, etc., to be aware that you can get poked by bushes, etc and not know it.
Scoobs, Glad you like some of my ideas. I like the asymetrical ideas too, neat to sorta tell a story, in a way. Good idea to keep everything in a notebook. You might find 2 that just seem to go together. If he won't charge, and you can't get ins money, you might want to slip him a hundred or so. I know just for the 3D tatts, they charge 300-400, at least the guy in NOLA does. So those of us that go to Earleen, make sure to donate to her non-profit for bc. And what your guy will be doing will be much more advanced, so cannot imagine what that would cost if he was going to charge for it! That will be soooooooo cool.

I must be weird.....I was happy with my small saggy middle age boobs.....there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss them....not just for looks, but for what they meant and provided for me......I have small implants which is by choice....I didn't like my bigger (relatively speaking) ones...felt that I looked too "perky"....my original implants were high profile 300cc silicone gel....now I have 200cc mid profile.....in clothes I'm okay, but naked, well thats another story....I probably now have enough extra "fat" to do one of the new procedures but didn't at the time....and I'm not interested in any more surgery......
Girls are going to get dressed to go sledding...not sure if I will join them or not, or just sit in the car and read or maybe take the dog for a walk.....

Glad you're happy with the game Juliet...I'll let you and Bernie work that one out! LOL. I have to be at the hosp at 6:30 am with surgery scheduled for 8:30. But OMG I cannot believe the cleansing prep I have to do. Didn't have to do this last May, but guess they are being super careful. They gave me some antibiotic soap to wash with....get this....gotta wash my face and hair (and other areas) with regular stuff, THEN use the antibiotic over the rest of my body...have to have DH help with the back. Leave it on 5 min, then rinse. Have to do this entire routine the night B4, and in the early morning!!! Plus, no hairspray, gel, makeup or face lotion, etc. This surgery is on my LEGS!!! Well, if it helps keep those nasty viruses and infections out of hospitals, I am all for it. But boy what a surprise!!! So glad you all will be teeny-tiny and with me! Oh, but gotta warn ya, this surgeon is smokin hot!!!!

DD had fun sledding....I took a few runs too....and a couple with Mischa running by the side.....it was gorgeous out......boy the 'gentle leader" really makes a difference....we didn't lock the front door and the 2 dogs ran out when someone was walking their dogs across the street....Mischa had me dancing all over the place....need to make sure we always lock the door!!!!! sometimes we just shut it tight, but that is not good enough....
1st quarter just ended NY leading 9 - 0.....a few good commericals...the M and M and the Elton John pepsi one...others are kind of stupid!!!!!
I'm tired.....need to do some work for a class I'm taking Tuesday....2 hours online.....will try to do it during the game so I don't miss commercials...or maybe I should wait till its over.......nothing special for dinner....going to finish up the left overs from Friday night.....

Oh Karen, by the way we had about 10 inches here in Central Nebraska, but warming up and soon melting I would guess. We had a few branches down, but the snow was beautiful! Little Gracie still has a hard time bounding through snow over her head but you'd never know it. She loves it, but we have to rinse/dunk her after every outing because she gets loaded down with little snow balls all over!

GOLDIE-Stella never showed up,I think she's getting into trouble somewhere else. I'll be forced to watch the game but i'm interested to see Madonna so that's the highlight to all that football. I was going to see friends/fam in AZ,NV,CO,TX,AL,KY,NC and then to PA and NY and Canada for sightseeing. But with the 360 i've had to do it's up in the air now. MRS. Kelly clarkson sang great, btw, gave me goose bumps! And husker, Kathy's surgery is Twosday I think, not tomorrow, so will get map pic up soon to show her we are all there.
