Paula - Now that is what I'm talking about.  That will get me through this afternoon and then some.  Thanks girlfriend.  You have the best eye candy.  Blood work is done and now going to the pain specialist after lunch.

June - It sounds lke the tammy break maybe just what you need right now.  Remember, it has a long half life and can take up to several months to get completely out of your system.  I went off of it for 12 days and actually felt great.  Just focus on getting some relief and not on the tammy.  Will be thinking of you.

Tink- I heard you this morning on my shoulder - the wings were just a flappin'.  LOL!  Take a break now and will know you are with me this afternoon.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Snoopy, thoughts are with you as you deal with LIFE right now.  Safe travels, prayers for your father, sending lovingkindness that you find a few moments of peace and quiet amongst the craziness.

Tink, hang in there with those sinuses.

June, you can hardly blame Sherry for comments - I nearly passed out hyperventilating over the latest eye candy from Paula!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Odie, I am also enjoying a beautiful day here - sunny, warm.  Had lunch with a friend who is a retired pastor - we both love Indian food so meet about once a month or so to enjoy each other's company and satisfy our palates!

I am 4 days without tammi - nothing much changed yet.  Still waking up with pain, still having drenching sweats.  But am optimistic I will feel better in a couple of weeks.  So what's a couple of weeks when I have been feeling like crap for 7 months?

Jo, I have been very quiet and well-behaved in the pocket today, even though Tink pinched me.  Can you believe her?????????????

Wow I had a fun filled pocket party, but I need a towel so I can wipe off the drool, lol.

Snoopy I hope all is well with the mammo!

Have a fun filled sunny afternoon my sista!!!!  Love Ya!

Linda - Yes, I can believe Tink did that.  She can be such a bad girl and to think she promised me she would be good if I shared the eye candy Paula gave me.  Well, I know think so - LOL!

Thanks everyone for going.  Now going to have to go wash my pockets out and get them ready for next Tues.

oh boy..I am SOSOSOSO behind again. Can't catch up so will just send some love. Linda, glad you worked things out with HR. Sherry - good you get a tammi vacation! Tink- so sorry you are feeling crummy again...June too! Sheesh...enough already!

I had my root canal two weeks ago and now I think the temporary filling has fallen out. Made a dentist appointment for next week as I was old no infection was possible...and then mid afternoon, my lymph gland started acting up and pain on my left side. We will see how the morning goes.

Got my visa for China...leave on the 29th for 30 days...then back for a course here in Halifax. Crazy schedule but I have given myself some jetlag time at both ends so it should be all right. Also have a job interview next week for an overseas position next year...all post June appointments of course...why do I put so much in store in those annual appointments?!?! Feeling much better since going to the massage therapist and having her realign my ribs..who knew radiation could make your ribs more pliable...movable? Tink- that was where my breathing problems have stemmed from. Also have an osteopath appointment for next week and have cancelled my chiropractor appointment as it helps my hip but puts my ribs out...even laying on the table...crazy...

oh...and also decided that committee work with the group I am paddling with is not for me at the moment...despite being worried I would disappoint, I told them that I could not be on the committee...BC survivors understand...and they did! Phew!

    love to all...

Good Morning ladies well I have been off of tammi for two days and my passing gas has stopped. Must be something in the fillers of the Teva brand that does not agree with me. Also my hot flashes have stopped. But two weeks ago when they were really bad I went to acupuncture and they treated me for them and I could tell a significant difference by the following day and it continued to get better but not completely gone. Now off of tammi they are gone. Wooohoooo but I now I'll have to go back on this sooner or later and it will all start up again. But enjoying the break non the less.

Sandee China for a month.....way to go girl.  Who would have thought massage therapy for ribs.  I think I am going to try it.....

Sherry glad the gas has stopped for you.  I have not noticed any difference yet as I am only on day 3 so far.  My stomach is funky and have had the runs but my girl has the stomach bug so I could be on my way next, who knows.....

Hugs to all you lovely ladies and hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday....

Sherry - When I took my two week Tammi break to see if it was causing my muscle aches and pains - I found out it was the Tammi but when I went back on it - the aches and pains did not come back.  You may not have the same SEs. Here's hoping you don't have the hot flashes again.

Hi Ladies,I'm popping in with a question.  I've been reviewing several of the threads on Tamoxifen and am curious if anyone is having a side effect from Tamoxifen like I am.  I feel "drugged".  My eyes look glassy and my husband says I look like I'm "high on drugs". I had started Tamox (Teva) in November but went off in early Feb due to hives and thrush (at my Onc's direction).  I went back on 3 weeks ago (Mylan 10mg am 10mg pm) and starting feeling this way within about a week.  I'm also extremely tired, even after 10 hours of sleep.I will most likely call my Onc and let her know but am curious if anyone else has felt/looked this way on Tamoxifen.  Thanks!

Maria, thanks for the reply.  It helps knowing that it's not just me going crazy.  How long have you been on the Tamox?  I'm hoping that with time, it will get better.

I was feeling so good at about week 5 of being off the drug, but now, feel worse than before.  I am thankful; however, that I don't have the hives or thrush...guess that will have to be enough for now.

I hope all of you have a good evening.

Wow. This thread has been going on since 2007 and don't know if my post will be revalent but I have been on Tamoxifen since Oct and I have not made peace about it.  I guess it started with well meaning people who gave me information on the horrors of the side effects and it has caused me great anxiety. The hot flashes are not particularly bothersome to me.  I do not have night sweats but I have been experiencing nausea, muscle aches, extreme fatigue, and depression and the depression seems to be bothersome when it is that time of the month.  I have been so sick three weeks ago that I lost 11 pounds and it would take me a full morning to eat a jello cup.  The doctor took me off for 9 days and although the symptoms didn't clear right away, I felt like my normal self.  Now I am back on it for the third day and I am fatigued again and feel light headed.  I feel as if whatever decision I make about staying on it, I will suffer.  I have been reading posts on this site and I feel a little better.  I guess I feel now that I am not alone with what I am feeling and it is not me going crazy  :)

Good morning!  I have been off tammi for 6 days, still having hot flashes and pain.  For those of you who have been off before, how long did it take for these SEs to improve?  I am beginning to think the pain may actually be from the chemo-induced neuropathy, but it affects my whole body, so I'm pretty sure the onc will deny that.

Great to hear 5 years, Harley!  It is so encouraging to hear others who are not  only surviving, but also truly living!  Thanks!

Hey ladies!  Well, it's finally Friday!  Seems like a loooong week!  My mother always says, don't wish your life away.  Maybe I'm just looking forward to next week - my son will be on spring break from college and he swears he will help me with some big stuff around the house.  I really need the help because he will be going out of town for 12 weeks in about a month for an internship in Seattle.  Exciting, for sure, but it will be the first time I've ever lived alone in my life!  I hope to get a lot done, and not just mope around....but I'm sad about it.  I'm thrilled for him, so I can't let him know I'm sad.  I'm just going to try to stay busy but I'm really dreading it.

Tink - how nice to have your DH grandma come visit.  I miss mine so much, they are just delightful with all their stories and cheerful disposition.  Just a joy to be around!  Have fun!

Harley - woot!  I can't wait to get where you are!  Your doctor may try to get you to start on an AI now.  Would you do it?  I don't think I would.  They tried to get my mother to and she said no, and she is still fine 10 years later.

JMLAND welcome to the group.  The gals around here are great.  Don't be afraid to post questions that you have.  The gals here are so very helpful.  I too felt like I was gonna go off the deep end a few times.  I dont know if its the Tammo that causes this or that its par for the course.  Hang in there!  We are here for ya!
