Lisa, Good choice for the BOTD! Glad your trip was so amazing. Also happy you can dive again next month in the Keys!!! Awesome! Stayed in Key West for our first anniv (rented a house and took my mom and stepdad)...was such fun, but boy they are wild there! Then just stopped there a few times on cruises. Drove through all the Keys from Miami, which was awesome. Would like to stay down there again sometime. It is just so inspiring how far you have come, and I think good for the newly diagnosed to see there REALLY is a time when you can get back to living again and doing what you enjoy!! So very happy for ya, and can't wait to see more pics!

Hey girls,
Wow, that flip flop partay was great last night, sorry I missed it. By the time I got done putting in six hours of work, I went to sleep and again slept 12 hours. How ironic is it that I am in bed by 9pm on both Friday and Saturdey nights? Ughh.
I had the most entertaining dreams last night and honestly, it was hard to wake up as I was having so much fun in my dreams.
I thought that I would be able to take off work today but nope, still not done ketching up. I have had my head so wrapped around my purchase loans that I have neglected by refinances. I do not have to work long today but definately have to get back to a client who I promised I would get back to over de weekend. Dis client is CRAZY. She is de one that told me that she will never believe Obama again as he promised her that her low value of her property in Cal would not affect her approval. OMG, I have been putting her off as she is absolutely crazy. Ok ok, will not talk about bidness NEmore, I know it is jest boring as hail to all yese.
I feel so bad for neglecting my partying duties. I had one little dwinky yesturdey and nothing more. Opted to sleep instead of dwink. WHAT DF is wrong with me?
I believe that Scuby is de only one with NM's telephone number, hoping to find out what is happening with our dear Kim. I know something is not right, she has not posted in over a week. Sending more prayers to her and to the rest of you.

LOL at Dork, neglecting party duties, lol. Well, if you come here and go to OAKS with me, we will make up for it! This Thursday will be my one year cancer free, May 3rd; which means last year I was watching the races from a lift chair in my living room, taking Percocet and flexeril around the clock. Not this year, baby!! It's party time here in Ky!!

The weeds have taken over my back yard, but not sure I want to work in the yard today as we are having a small deck built under one of the large shade trees...Using a gf's DH but all is quotes have been lower than the actual cost!!!! My DH wanted a deck around the tree but turns out it will be way more than we want to spend, so it will be 8 x 16 on one side of tree....estimate was for 8 x8...and DH thinks thats way to small.....Also need to start working in the flower garden...darn dogs have dug it up...so need to figure out how I want to do it...last year I planted a variety of beautiful flowers but several of them just wilted and died so this year only petunias (regular and wave) and geraniums....front flower garden is only petunias plus the greenery...

Karen, Have you thought of drought/heat resistant flowers/plants? Some good ones are Autumn Sedum (which gets over a ft tall, anc changes color in autumn), Coneflowers (similar to daisies), and Lantana. If your flowers are in a sunny, hot area these are good. I was able to get a perennial lantana last year, and it is already quite tall. Those others are perennial in our area, not sure of your area. Also, the roses that bloom all summer are nice in a sunny area (we have the KnockOut Roses here, not sure if they are nationwide or not). Cheers!!!

Oh my the flip flops on the head are hilarious. Bernie has her Ireland flippy's, Kathy has monkey's and Hawaiian, Sue has Flip Flop straws and mop ones, which I forbid you to wear, those look like an accident waiting to happen. Beanie gots some fish flops for Scuby, herself a pair with a bottle opener. I gots me some bling flops, since I will be in Vegas.
Sue, that is odd that they sent your niece home so soon. Still praying for all good news for her. Keep us updated.

YIPPEEEE!!!! Now we need a big CELEBRATION DWINK!!! I jest heard from NM and she is FINE! Really! There was a bad storm a few days ago, with high winds. Took out her tv and her modem. Has been waiting every day for her new modem to arrive. WHEW!!! Was so HAPPY to talk with her and know that she is A-OK!!!! Thank God for fried modems, and nothing more serious!!!! SO, she wanted me to let you all know that she is ok, and hopes to be back online soonliest.

Kathy...I think it was the Lantana that bit the dust!!! the area is sunny, southern esposure, so I bought plants that should do well in that environment...gerber daisies also didn't do well...but I always do well with petunias and gernaiums....and a couple years ago I planted sunflower seeds and they did well.....so stick with what I know!!!

Took DD shopping....had a 20% off coupon at Old Navy and for $50 some dollars got her 6 or 7 different things...then returned a couple things to TJMaxx and of course spent more than I returned...got two skirts for me...a shortish jean skirt and long black t-shirt material skirt.....Was talking about my upcoming b'day and DD told me she knew one of the things that Daddy (my DH) was getting me...and I said that I knew one thing as my black patent clogs with pink soles are on back ordered....but then I had an idea that he may have ordered me a pair of hand painted clogs cuz when he found out the other ones were back ordered he sent me a link for a couple different painted ones...so I told this to DD and she slips up and says they are different than the painted ones I have!!!! then she realized what she said....I told DH cuz I thought it was so funny and he goes..well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out......I know older DD and SIL got me jewelry cuz I saw the package...of course I don't know what it is...and I don't know what DD #2 is getting me...she is going to go to the mall after school tomorrow!!! BUT first, we got DD#1 b'day on Thursday....I got her a pretty daughter necklace at Kohls and sent her a check...Little sister is sending her earrings.....from May 3 to May 13, we have 3 bdays and mothers day!!!! pretty much breaks little sister's bank buying for her 2 siblings and her mom!!!
Pulled some weeds in the back yard...a friend said the vinegar works well on weeds and is non toxic so I need to get a spritzer bottle and get the rest of the weeds and tackle the front yard.....and then start looking for flowers but won't plant till mothers day...

Shayne, I saw you were from AZ. I was in PV for about a year, my husband had a store there. Then we started selling online, and they built Wal Mart and Home Depot there and sales plummeted, so we moved to our land up in the White Mountains and have been here since 2001.
